My IP address continually changes on my AVR 412 DVR, why? I then have to go to my remote agent and change the address to match the one that changed, to make it usable.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo as the topic says, my AE1200 wireless adapter continually disconnects. It will do it periodically throughout regular use. There are times, however, when it will definitely disconnect without fail. Whenever I try to play any online game (ranging from browser games on Facebook to games installed on my machine like Guild Wars), it disconnects. Any time it disconnects, it's a simple matter of either unplugging or plugging it back in. However, this makes it impossible to use anything that requires a constant internet connection (such as the aforementioned online games). It also disconnects whenever I do any task that requires a lot of processing power, such as rendering a video in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Every hour or so it loses its PPPoE connection to the internet, so that both wired and wirelessly connected computers lose access. My laptop is also thrown entirely off the wireless network all together.

Never any problem with the Dell (and Gateway before that), nor the iPad, Acer notebook, etc. However, the Toshiba keeps losing the connection to Internet (even though the icon says the connection is excellent). DH has to continually Repair in order to connect. I even reformatted the Toshiba, thinking it was something in the Registry. Now that it is back up and running (and all programs updated), it STILL periodically has to be repaired in order to connect.

I have left it for over and hour but it still says the same thing. I have connected other computers to the router with the same cable and they work perfectly. View 1 Replies View Relatedwe recently purchased L3 daughter cards (N55-D160L3-V2) for our 5548UPs along with the LAN Enterprise Services licenses (N55-LAN1K9).
I installed the cards and Ent Svcs lic this past weekend and everything went well excep that I couldn't enable the EIGRP feature .. apparently EIGRP requires the LAN Base (N55-BAS1K9-BUN) license even when you have the Enterprise lic installed, so I was able to dig up that license eventually (which comes with the L3 daughter card, incidentally). Another side effect of not installing the Lan Base lic is that the L3 card/module will be in an "offline" state until the Lan Base lic is installed. Either way, everything was working normally in L2 mode at this time.
So, here I was thinking I was ready to proceed with enabling L3 - this morning I installed the LAN Base license on one of the 5548s which apparently triggered the L3 Daughter card module to go active and triggered a switch reboot. Ok, not that big of a deal, knew that was probably coming. I expected the switch to come back up normally .. NOPE. The switch went into a continual reboot cycle where the console prompt would appear, then about 30 seconds later, would reboot again.
I finally ended up re-installing the original L2 card and the switch came right up. I see that LAN Base and LAN Enterprise are both still installed as well.
What have I done wrong here? Why did the switch go into a continuous reboot cycle once I installed the LAN Base license?

We are trying to isolate the fault. From Aggregator a router, we are receiving MAC address of distant end ethernet interface of a SDH box and vice versa is also possible. However ther is no packet received. My question is does ping test is must to see if the path is through or just receiving MAC adress at both ends would mean that packets have to go over the path.
