View 2 RepliesI use the dhcp demon (dhcp server) on my PIX 501 to give my local clients automatic ip addresses, my dhcpd config is here:
dhcpd address 192.168.251.20-192.168.251.40 inside
dhcpd dns 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
dhcpd lease 3600
dhcpd ping_timeout 750
dhcpd domain lokalnet
dhcpd enable inside
What I meant is that I am trying to implement a system that uses two wireless cards to enable a user to move from one access point to another without droping the call because the handover should take a maximum of 50ms (miliseconds), that is why in this approach two cards were use so while one is scanning for new access point the second one will still communicate in oreder for the call not to be drop and this action will keep going anytime where there is a need ofhandover?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have not changed ISPs.Yes, I have contacted my ISP about the matter, but, as expected, to no avail. No, I am not using a new modem. To my knowledge, I have made no network related changes whatsoever since the problem arose. This will certainly raise the question "Why do you need to change your IP, anyway?" Well, to be perfectly honest, the game site that I frequent has a newly implemented hacking detection system that temporarily bans a user from entering all game rooms if it detects any suspicious activity on the user's part. This system is quite fallible and hence results in many unwarranted bans daily. In the event that I am unlucky enough to fall victim to the ban hammer, I simply change my IP and continue playing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on two SGE 2010 stacked and in routing mode. Everything work fine but before finishing the job, I wanted to lockdown all the network device so they would not be accessible from some subnets. Problem is, I cannot bind my ACLs to any interface. I get "Cannot apply because lack of HW resources." I am running firmware 3.0.0.18, and 3.0.1 release notes don't address that issue. TCAM utilization is at 3% Routing resources shows host: 200, routes:60, ip interfaces: 50 I have tried from the cli and get the same message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a server running Windows Server (can be 2003 or 2008 if it matters). The server has multiple IP addresses allocated to it.I want to use the IP addresses *as if they were remote high anonymous proxies*. I want all traffic to and from each application to use the same IP address and I want to be able to add the IP addresses to applications in the same way I would a remote proxy (presumably using 127.0.0.1 ort)So for each 127.0.0.1 ort address traffic travels like so:
application <-> localhost <-> internet facing IP address <-> remote site
Is this even possible? I know I can do this using a seperate Linux VPS running squid but I'm curious as to if it can be done on one server running windows.
I have inherited a working but ancient Win 2000 DNS/Web Server on a T1 line and need to update it to a more modern Linux system. Is there a relatively easy way to export the windows configuration to a Bind config that I can modify?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor our wireless, we enabled the machine authentication, but we want to bind the machine authentication and user authentication together which means they need to meet both requirements to access the wireless, how can we do this? Right now looks like as soon as the machine is authenticated, it can access the network, no user authentication needed.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my WLC to connect in my LDAP (ActiveDirectory). I have 3 interfaces in the controller:
- Management (vlan709): 10.41.200.253
- lan (vlan 1): 190.1.1.123
- guest (vlan 708): 10.41.222.253
My LDAP server is: 190.1.1.22
The controller could ping the LDAP Server. And LDAP Server ping WLC too. When the controller try to connect in the LDAP server, return this on debug:
ldap_db.c:1038 Could not connect to LDAP server 1, reason: 1005 (LDAP bind failed).

We are trying to isolate the fault. From Aggregator a router, we are receiving MAC address of distant end ethernet interface of a SDH box and vice versa is also possible. However ther is no packet received. My question is does ping test is must to see if the path is through or just receiving MAC adress at both ends would mean that packets have to go over the path.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing a Cisco 1800 series router (1802) with IOS 15.1(4)M2.I am quite sure the following should somehow be possible in IOS, but I can't figure out how to do it ... :I have the situation that I need to bind specific devices by DHCP to the same IP range.
These devices (medical equipment, used in hospital) are all from the same vendor. So the first three octets in the MAC address (Organizationally Unique Identifier , OUI) are the same for each device. The next three are always 'unknown'.I know how to bind a fully known MAC address to a host ip or ip range , but is it somehow possible to do this by the OUI ?Like using some wildcard option.
