Synchronize Two Wireless Cards Having Same Mac Address

Feb 15, 2012

What I meant is that I am trying to implement a system that uses two wireless cards to enable a user to move from one access point to another without droping the call because the handover should take a maximum of 50ms (miliseconds), that is why in this approach two cards were use so while one is scanning for new access point the second one will still communicate in oreder for the call not to be drop and this action will keep going anytime where there is a need ofhandover?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 6500 Clarification For Using Mac-address-table Synchronize Command

Jul 12, 2010

We want to configure the "mac-address-table synchronize" command on our 6500 series switches to ensure that the CAM tables on our DFCs are in synch with the PFC on the supervisor modules. url...it is recommended that we disable the routed MAC purging with the mac-address-table aging-time 0 routed-mac global configuration command. What is a routed mac entry?  Are there any issues with running that mac aging-time command?

We also plan to run this command "mac-address-table aging-time 14400" to keep our ARP and CAM tables on the same aging time to reduce unicast flooding on our network.  Can we run this command with the "routed-mac" command above?

However, when it prompts me to enter the password I do, but immediately afterwords another password box appears prompting me to reenter the password again. After repeatedly doing so, it will eventually say the password is incorrect. I know the it is correct because I've since purchased a Netgear USB adapter for temporary purposes and it connects using the password. I've even accessed the router to ensure the password I was using was correct and it is.

Cabling / Cards :: Unable To Detect Wireless Network

I've only ever used the internet on this computer via my ethernet connectionI installed the network adapter with no problem (using the CD included in the box) and it appears in my device manager and is working correctly. However, when I look look at the available networks I can only find BT Openzone (it's a pay as you go service, I'm using it now to try and fix this ), and some random BTHomeHub. I should be able to see a lot more, including my Virgin Media network, but I can't. It was the best 'Dongle'[?] in the store, so I'm guessing it's not an issue of proximity. I'm also certain that the network should be publicly visable. [CODE]

Cabling / Cards :: No Wired Or Wireless Internet Connection?

Jul 28, 2012

My sister has just purchased a custom built desktop computer that will not connect to the household network. We have various other computers and devices that connect to the router (Thompson Gateway TG782T) without any problems. Just to be sure I've tried reseting the router to factory settings to no avail.

I've tried connecting her computer to the network through the TP-Link Wireless Adpater (TL-WN881ND) that came with her computer AND through a Netgear Wireless USB Adapter (WG111v2). In both situations the network is detected, the network password is requested (and accepted) but the result is always that she has 'limited connectivity', cannot access the internet and cannot detect any shared network drives.

I've tried connecting with an Ethernet cable as well, which her computer does not detect at all ('network cable unplugged').When I try to troubleshoot any of these problems I get a message that says 'The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running'.The guys at the shop where my sister had it built are asking her to bring the computer in with the router becuse they are convinced that the machine is fine, and that the router is at fault. Some Specs for her computer

Cabling / Cards :: Run Wired And Wireless Connectivity Simultaneously?

I have 300Mbps PCI wireless LAN network card which I installed in my PC and until today I was connected to my Sky router wirelessly. I also have a wireless Brother all in one connected to the same PCI card.

The engineer who installed my Sky fibre broadband told me in order to achieve maximum speeds I should connect via an ethernet cable to my Sky router as wireless could be a lot slower so I bought one and connected up and disabled the wirelss card. All good so far until I noticed my Brother all in one was complaining about no network ID.

My problem is that I can't seem to run my printer wirelessly as well as run my broadband wired. If I enable the wireless adapter the printer works but my broadband is wireless as well and the wired connection is disabled.
