Just want to know how to synchronise two wireless interface cards so one will scan while the other will keep he connection with the remote host, the role will be interchanged by the two cards
View 1 RepliesI have recently started (slowly) upgrading my computer. I have an older desktop, and I'm wanting to eliminate the ethernet cable so I can put my desktop anywhere in the house and not have to worry about running cables. I really can't afford the faster internet at this time and I'm having issues with streaming movies. So I really don't want to lose what speed my internet does have by switching to wireless. The USB adapter is less expensive by a few bucks, but I'm worries it might just stop working randomly, or be slow in comparison to a PCI card. Another issue is with my old motherboard, I only have 2 pci slots and one pci-e slot, I've ordered a new sound card, just installed a video card. So I only have one slot left, and I was wanting to put a TV tuner in that spot.
Should I get the USB (300mbps is what I'm looking at) or should I just get over wanting to put a tv tuner in and just get the card and install it? Just wanting some general advice on what more advanced users think of it. I've seen pci expansions online but that was just way out of my price range, and do not want to have to buy a new motherboard.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I meant is that I am trying to implement a system that uses two wireless cards to enable a user to move from one access point to another without droping the call because the handover should take a maximum of 50ms (miliseconds), that is why in this approach two cards were use so while one is scanning for new access point the second one will still communicate in oreder for the call not to be drop and this action will keep going anytime where there is a need ofhandover?

They have one Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card (#F5D7010), but when I put it in, it says I have to download the drivers for it, and can't find the drivers. I tried downloading the Belkin Driver, but it still says another driver is missing. My question: Would it be possible to download the driver on my mac, transfer it to the dell with a flash drive and install it? If so, how do I find the right one?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Notebook HP Pavillion DV6 3113sa with Windows 7 64-bit My Broadcom Bluetooth and Wireless Combo Card is not being detected. On device manager> Network adapters I cannot see my the wireless adapter. Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is in the device manager though. Also I can access internet with an ethernt cable and my phone and other computer can detect my wireless router. The wireless light is also continually orange and will not change. So neither bluetooth or wireless is working. I have down loaded the 2 Broadcom drivers from the HP website but neither fix the problem. However the bluetooth driver says something like 'Driver failed to install because no bluetooth device was found'.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't installed anything new lately, nothing that would affect the wireless, but my wireless suddenly stopped working. My wireless has been working successfully for the past 2 years no problems till now. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 my computer is running Windows 7 32bit. When I open up the DW WLAN Card Utility it says "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility. I tried reinstalling drivers for the wireless but my computer says "no compatible hardware found".
Also the under the wireless adapters section of Device Manager there isn't an adapter for wireless, but there is an unknown device.

I have a problem with my 802.1x Solution in ACS Version : 5.2.0.26. The hours between my ACS and the AD lost synchronize, for that reason the user in my network can't authenticate in the Solution. when i see the hours was different for the AD in 5 minutes, i have to force again the common ntp server 172.25.0.34 (which is ip ntp server). I don´t know why is the reason for lost synchronize, maybe could be a bug.. or samething that i have to configurate in the ACS or AD.

Today I have configured my ACS 5.2-0.26.4 to synchronize with NTP server which is implemented in Cisco 6500, but it don´t become to work. The switch Core is configuared in HSRP, for that reason in the ACS server I defined the IP virtual of the Core like ntp server, maybe the ACS don´t work with IP virtual of the switch Core. Finally I wanto to kown if is posible to synchronize this versión of the ACS withc cisco 6500. I had integrated this ACS versión with cisco 2800.. maybe the ACS could integrate with same special models.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhaving a problem with my Linksys wireless adapter: the light will flash a few times when I plug it in, then it will turn off. It won't let me connect to the internet or my printer.It's not the port: it is recognized when I put it in any other port, but it still won't connect. I think it's a virus, but my antivirus software isn't showing anything when I run a full scan (I use Malwarebytes Free). I'm gonna put AVG on a flash drive from another computer and try to use that later today, but right now I've been thinking that I might have to back everything up and reinstall windows.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Viao laptop with WinXp SP3 which is now 6 years old. We are currently renting a holiday home in the USA which has an unsecured network. We have two other laptops and they are connected, no problem. This morning my Sony worked fine on email and web access but I was having trouble on FTP. Then email stopped and then web.I have tried all the usual solutions. Delete the Network, restart etc etc.It clearly show the network (and also another secured network I cannot access). When I connect it shows "Acquiring network address" then just hangs. If I press, repair it hangs on "Renewing your IP address" Does the fact that it can see the networks and when I "ping 127.0.01" it seems to be OK, mean that it CANNOT be a hardware fault? I ask this partly because the WLAN switch at the front often does not seem to work (when it does work it is green and currently it IS green)

A while back my faithful old IBM ThinkPad became very slow under the weight of too many applications and updates so I replaced it. Now I have decided I would like to revive it mainly as a games machine for my young grandson, so I wiped everything off it and reinstalled Windows XP Home Editon (it previously had XP Pro). It used to access the net via a wireless LAN card (IEEE802.11b/g) and this worked fine. I am now having difficulty reinstalling this device. I thought XP would just pick it up but it doesn't. I tried downloading a driver onto a memory stick using my new laptop but that doesn't work either.

The indicator light always stays amber (instead of turning blue when turned on) on external wirless switch. The wireless adaptor should be a Broadcom 802.11b. This does not show up in device manager, but my computer says the driver for it is installed. In the device manager there is one device with a yellow question mark beside it called "other device". Under this device there are three more devices called "base system device" with a yellow exclamation point next to them
