D630 Wireless Card Will Not Turn On?
Feb 17, 2012I recently got a d630 and installed a wireless card the computer detects it and i installed the drivers computer says it's working good but no wifi light turns on and nothing happens when I push the wifi button and it is running windows vista and the card is shown in windows networking just want to get this fixed

May 11, 2011My dad's computer (Compaq Evo D500, running Windows XP Home Edition) was having some operating system problems on which we had exhausted all other options, so we backed up his person files, and formatted and reinstalled windows. We got almost everything working fine pretty quickly. The computer is almost always connected by wire, which works perfectly fine right now, but when we have company, we don't like having a long wire laying on the floor, so we like having the wireless available.
We've had this wireless card (Zonet ZEW1602) in for almost three years, and we haven't had a problem till now. The first time we got it, we plugged it in, and it worked instantly. We formatted, and reinstalled with the card still plugged in, and when we installed the software after the reinstall, the wireless client configuration utility says there is no card plugged in.
I am somewhat computer savvy, but I'm more of a software problem kind of guy, so I don't have too much experience with such problems. We have looked into the device manager, and we don't see anything of such a name as the wireless card. I tried the add hardware and it didn't find anything. I tried going into BIOS to see if there was anyway to enable the card, but I couldn't find anything.

Jan 26, 2012I had turned my computer on and I hadn't been on it in a week or 2 because for some reason my computers WiFi connector was not turning on in the back. Usually, if the wifi is turned on, there is a green light flashing in the back which tells me it is picking up or searching for a signal. And once I turned it on, it had started working again. So I played on it a bit and got off. But when I went to turn it on today, it wont pick up any signals. My router is working perfectly fine since I'm typing this on my iPad.

Nov 29, 2011I have version A3 hardware with the latest firmware installed. When i use wireless N, after transferring a large file from my PC to my NAS over wireless, the router slows to a crawl once the file is done. The next file i try to transfer moves at about 200-300kB/s as opposed the the previous 8+MB/s. Watching nextflix and gaming is also slow. After i unplug and plug back in the router, everything is fine. It doesn't do it everytime, but does happen often enough to be frustrating.
After experimenting with different wireless N settings, and trust me i've tried like every combination. I set the router to wireless G only, the transfer speeds are about 2-3MB/s but it always has that speed. It's been stable for well over a month now. But i bought an N router, and want faster speeds. What's the warranty period for this router?

Feb 27, 2012My wifi was working just fine this morning, then my 1 yr old pushed some keys when I turned away for a minute, now my wireless won't turn on. I have tried the F2 + Function key several times, I've rebooted and tried to search possible solutions. My other laptop is connected to my router just fine, so I am sure it is just a computer issue. I have an Inspirion 1750. Also, is there any indicator of wireless on this computer? I have to go into network to see if it is on, it seems there should be an easier way (my other computers have a wifi light).

Jul 3, 2011For the past few days my laptop's connect has been really spiky and constantly D/Cs. So I turn on my other laptop to check and its connect works. Then I check my current laptop and the connection works now too. Long story short, I found out that if I turn on my old laptop (also connected thro wireless) my current laptop is able to connect flawlessly. I tried it the other way around, turning off my current laptop and only using my old and it works so it must be a problem with my current laptop.
