View 2 RepliesI've been told that connecting wirelessly with a fujitsu is very difficult. systems use windows to connect, however i've been told that fujitsu block the windows attempt as it has its own settings/system it wants to use (some form of default). I have been told there is a way to connect 'blocking' the fujitsu attempt to stop connection via windows and it will work.

Today my Fujitsu laptop failed to connect. I assumed it was the laptop but after connecting my mobile to my router, my phone wouldnt work. After approx 2 hours on the phone to TalkTalk engineers and testing with another laptop, and getting my phone working by entering a password into my phone (that I believe was already in there), the guy said my laptop is bust due to something breaking inside that prevents connectivity. I cant remember what he called it now, maybe something like 'wireless connectors', but that could be totally wrong on my part.As I sidenote, I noticed the laptop took ages to reach the desktop screen, then the picture behind the icons had expanded slightly so I couldnt see the edges of the picture, and the icons were slightly fuzzy/blurry.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past few days my laptop's connect has been really spiky and constantly D/Cs. So I turn on my other laptop to check and its connect works. Then I check my current laptop and the connection works now too. Long story short, I found out that if I turn on my old laptop (also connected thro wireless) my current laptop is able to connect flawlessly. I tried it the other way around, turning off my current laptop and only using my old and it works so it must be a problem with my current laptop.

When I press the quick launch button for wireless absolutely nothing is happening, however it can pick up internet with the ethernet cable from the modem. Had a read of this and tried to install the FSC Launch Manager from the Fujitsu website still to no avail. Cant be the operating system either as it the same problem arose when i install a version of xp yesterday.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus Model U56E. Recently the wireless has been disappearing whenever I turn off my laptop. What I mean is that when I turn on my laptop, the wireless doesnt seem to exist. I go under device manager and all I have is the eternet and my bluetooth device. About 85% of the time, when I go under "action" and click on "scan for hardware changes" the my Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N1030 will show up along with the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adaptor and I'll get my wireless back. However, when my laptop turns off, the same thing happens.
In addition, my fn F2 button no longer seems to work. I'll press on it and majority of the time my light that signals that the wireless is working does not turn on. Most of the time it stays off whether or not I am connected to the wireless
This is what I already attempted to fix it, based on googling for answers:
1. Under the properties of my wireless and miniport adapter, I went under power management and unchecked the box that says "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
2. I went to my laptop's power plan and changed all my wireless adapter settings "power saving mode" to maximum performance for both battery and cord
3. I went to the intel website, had it look at my laptop wireless system and followed their recommendation of installing an updated wireless software thing. All that happened was that it told me to disable my old wireless and then install it. However, even though I followed their instructions, it continued to repeat the same message. I had to perform a system restore to get my old wireless back
4. I disabled wireless console 3 (by Asus) under programs and it seemed to work. My laptop was getting connected whenever I turned it on. However, the next day my laptop updated itself (b/c of my system restore) and I am back to the same situation except my wireless console is still disabled.
Recently i am experiencing "limited connectivity" on all of the networks I try to access the internet with my laptop. My computer runs Vista Home Premium Service pack 2 and has an Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter. To this point, I have tried turning off the wireless functionality on my laptop and turning it back on as well as disabling the adapter and re-enabling it through Control Panel --> Device manager.I have run into this problem on a home wireless network, a 3G mobile hot spot as well as a public wifi connection.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed the E2500 wireless router, and it works great for all devices we've tried so far. Here's the thing: we have a laptop that has been humming perfectly along for more that 12 years because we have never let it be touched by the internet. It has built in wi-fi, but we've never connected it. It has no viruses, no Microsoft creep, we've never had to purchase a virus software update and it has outlasted every piece of computer equipment we've ever owned. We'd like to keep it that way!
But now that the wireless printer is working beautifully, we want to know if there's a way to send the laptop through the router to the wireless printer, but not expose it to the internet. Is that possible?
Unfortunately, I'd been blaming the broadband at home and didn't realise this before my warranty ran out - on 30/12/12
McAffee has been uninstalled and Avast put on instead, but still it is the same - it works fine when the lead is plugged in from the router - on Speedtest it shows download speed 3.13. On wireless at home it works, just, but speed is reduced to 0.49 even though I'm sitting right next to the router. Bring it to work and it can't see the internet to connect to it
very time I start my laptop I have to start WZC.In my wireless network connections,I always have a broadcom 802.11g network adapter in the connect using box.Is there anyway to find out if this is working properly or use windows to connect for me?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe issue is that one Dell laptop is experiencing slow or no internet connectivity at all using wireless. Sometimes 1 to 2 minutes to load a page, other times the dreaded 'not able to display webpage' message. It's fine using Ethernet. I have another laptop (same exact brand/model) and it has no problems. I also have a Macbook Pro and other Apple IOS devices (iPod/iPads) that are fine. Several Ethernet connected devices are fine as well. The laptop in question had no issues with my previoius Linksys devices, which are a BEFSR41/WAP55AG as well as a WRT-54GS v2. This one laptop was fine the first day or two on the EA4500 but something happened which is causing this issue. I had to add the WAP55AG back onto my network so my son is happy again, but my plan was to decommission the other devices. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new EA3500 router that's working great for a variety of devices* except a Windows7 laptop. 24 hours after establishing a connection, the laptop loses connectivity and it's very difficult to re-establish a connection. Usually I have to reboot the router, but 24 hours later the problem returns and Windows is unable to connect.
My router settings include DHCP client lease time set to 1440 minutes (24 hours), so I thought the problem might have something to do with DHCP lease renewal. To test this theory, on Saturday night I did ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew and established connectivity from the laptop.
Sunday morning I spoke with Linksys support and changed several settings per their recommendation:Network mode mixed (I had it on N-only for some reason)Assigned different SSIDs to the 2.4GHz band and 5 GHz band2.4 GHz band channel is 20MHz only, using channel 95 GHz band channel is 40 MHz only, using channel 161I also power cycled the router. Everything worked fine until Sunday night, 24 hours after the release/renew, when I lost connectivity. I am not sure what to try next and whether the problem lies with the router or the laptop.

I was having some trouble with my sound cards and when I tried to automatically update the drivers my network connection cut out and now I cant get it to work correctly. I can ping my router and the DNS server but not any of the laptops on my network or any external IP address.

The weird part is that my desktop computer and my mom's laptop (both of which are using wireless from the same router) can both successfully connect.I'm using my mom's laptop to type this. I tried unplugging the router and plugging it back in and it didn't work my laptop still won't connect. Here's a few of the facts:
- coincides with a recent installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2, which I have not done.
- I'm using Windows 7, just FYI
- My big desktop computer already has an Ethernet cable connecting its built-in modem directly to the router. Someone on another site suggested using an Ethernet cable to connect my laptop directly to the router, but my laptop is a little bit of a junkpile and doesn't have anywhere to plug one in.
- When running Windows Network Diagnostic it tells me that there's a "problem with the wireless adapter or access point" which would be the router. I've tried resetting the router, but it didn't work.
when I was running a virus scan on my laptop. About halfway through the scan it had picked up 3 infected objects. I was using a different computer while I waited for the scan to finish and when I came back in my laptop had mysteriously shut itself down. I rebooted it and got the whole "Windows was not properly shut down" thing with the options to restart in Safe Mode and such. I just restarted it regularly and when I got back on that's when I noticed that I had no internet. I re-ran the virus scan and got rid of all of them. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my lack of internet, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
