Jumping Cursor And Windows Opening Automatically On Laptop?
Nov 10, 2012the cursor on my laptop started jumping all over on its own accord and I am struggling to gain control of it and various programs & windows are opening of their own. I assumed I had some form of Malware (I know very little about computers) so ran various removal scans and a few things were picked up but it continues to do this. My brother brought his laptop round so I could at least use the internet and after 5 mins of being connected to my internet his laptop started to do exactly the same cursor going all over and programs opening - his laptop was perfectly fine until he connected to my internet. Once he took his laptop back home on his own network it was working perfectly normal again.

How to connect to wi fi in my laptop.I tried to power on the wireless by pressing FN+F8 together but at network connection it displays as No connection is available.Secondly I checked the device manager and under Network adapters there is only three driver Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network), Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TSI) and Realtek PCIe FE Family Controlleer are working.I also checked the driver of this PC and found one folder named WLAN_B and even did the setup but still not working. I am using windows 7 Professional and 64 bit of OS.

Apr 20, 2012The other day i was on my mums laptop (ASUS X5DIJ) at her house all working fine the battery died so i plugged it in and started it up again however the charger cant have been fully connected and once back in windows the battery died again on the next boot i noticed windows said it had found the system CMOS/real time clock and had installed drivers for it. checked the driver details it says no driver files are required just like it should ever since then it connects to the network but will not connect to the internet at her house or at mine through wireless and ethernet cable although all other computers work fine windows troubleshooter says "Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings"
I've tried
resetting routers and laptop = no change
netsh winsock reset and netsh int ipv4 reset = no change
ipconfig /flushdns = no change
ipconfig /registerdns = no change

Windows 7 - Laptop Crashes / Reboot And No Wifi?
Jun 6, 2012A friend of mine has experienced a crash with her Toshiba Satellite while watching a vid on the net.It froze completely so she did a battery pull and re-booted the system.After booting up Windows 7 after the password screen the laptop crashed completely.
The same problem occurred once again so she loaded Windows in safe mode with networking. The computer seemed to function normally so she rebooted into normal mode.Since then everything appears to be functioning except the Wifi (that was used in conjunction with an ADSL net connection).The LED where the Wifi switch is no longer lights up and no Wifi connection can be made.I suspect that as a result of the initial crash the connection settings may have been reset but perhaps the Wifi in the laptop itself has just died and needs to be repaired.
I know it could just be corrupted drivers or something - I updated the drivers for something called "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter" using the auto update feature in Windows Device Manager but it didn't solve the problem.

Jun 25, 2012 I have had a very stable wifi with my 615 for the last year. No problems with my desktop (Vista) or laptop (Vista) or other comp(XP). Just purchased a new laptop (Windows 7) which knocks out my wifi every 5-10 minutes. Cycle power and back up she comes. Now its to the point that when sometime when the wifi goes down..it also knocks out my hard line connection. This is also corrected with a power cycle. I've tried every "tip" I could find through Google (channel 11, only wpa-only, 802.11n only,etc.)and updated the firmware to "Current Firmware Version : 2.25 Current Firmware Date : 2008/05/16 " Again...this problem only reared it's ugly head when I brought the Windows 7 OS into the mix. It seems like its could be related to uploads as it drops my wifi while sending emails or posting. I've also noticed a drop in my upload speed (speedtest) from my hard line comp.

Jul 20, 2012I know the wifi in the laptop works, i know the laptop has no issues.I know this because i switched my hard drive from my 1330 to this laptop which is also a 1330...connects and works fine.Wifi IS turned on In device manager the driver is ok no exclamation marks anywhere When i try and connect with the ethernet i get identifying no network access, then it says currently connected to unidentified network, no network access! You cannot browse.So that being said it must be in the setting with windows 7.I uninstalled and reinstalled the wifi driver it did not make any difference.I also tried using a Ethernet connection and it would not connect either.When i use the win 7 trubleshooter it states a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken.Remember this laptop functions fine with my hard drive in it with windows xp.

Automatically Sync Folders On Laptop With Networked Hdd?
Nov 25, 2012I've recently bought a wdtv live streamer to play all my music and videos.
Firstly, my setup. Wdtv live connected via USB3 to 1tb wd elements hdd. Also connected via rj45 to router. Laptop on same network, but wireless.
My first question concerns transfer rates. When sending any kind of media to the networked drive from my laptop, I'm only getting transfer speeds of about. 2 mb/s. I thought I would get much more than this as when the wdtv streams to my iPad, it will need faster speeds than this.
The second question is just to make my life easier. Is there any way I can set up folders on my laptop to automatically sync with a chosen folder on the networked hdd? Just to save any effort on my part really
What I want is if I import a cd using iTunes into my library, it will automatically see it and copy it across to the hdd so I can play it over the network.
As an aside, would it be easier to store my whole iTunes library just on the networked drive?

Dec 30, 2012I have a home network using WEP 128-bit router and my phone is Motorola Atrix with AT&T. until I did the jellybean update to android my phone connected automatically with my home wifi but now it won't connect at all. In all other placed with wifi or hotspots it connects automatically and even with secure networks it saves the password and stays connected. I tried my local AT&T store and they said all my settings in the phone were right and suggested I reboot my router which I did. Nothing has corrected the problem. The wifi doesn't stay on long enough for me to put in my password to connect.

I had a virus called something like Cloud AV 2012 so I used Malware Bytes to remove it and it worked just fine. Oct 20, 2011I'm on windows 7 btw.When I diagnose the problem it says: Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings I'm connected to the internet via cable on my laptop. Yes I'm using a router. The other computers connected to the router can connect to the internet but mine can't. It also says "unidentified network - no internet access" when I click on the computer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. until I downloaded from a music site which gave me the virus I think. Now, I'm not certain if the virus is removed or not. I tried system restore point but it won't even let me restore my computer anymore for some reason, maybe because of the virus.
