View 1 RepliesOk, so I've got a Billion BiPac 3011N Wireless-N usb adapter for my PC. I've used it before about a year ago and it was working fine then. But after not using it for a year, I plugged it into my PC, installed the updated drivers, and nothing happened. The Realtek 11n USB wireless lan utility program (came with the driver) does not seem to find the wireless network, something that my laptop picks up easily. I have even tried moving my PC closer to the router, but it still picks up nothing. The utility programme just says 'disconnected'
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed windows 7 on a new machine I built myself. I ran the driver cds for the motherboard and GPU.
I have 2 wireless cards I have tried neither will pick up any wireless signals.
One is a Linksys wireless-G pci adapter Model wmp54g the other is a broadcom netlink gigabit adapter also wireless.
I have tried the newest drivers by downloading them but still no luck.
I am currently tethered to my phone.
I just bought a Gateway dx4860-Ub33P.I took it to geek squad and had them upgrade the video card to Nvidia geforce GTX 560 as well as upgrading the power supply. When I set up the computer at my home office, the wireless adapter is not picking up the signals. My laptop is picking up the wireless signals just fine so I know it can't be a signal strength issue. My Gateway does detect one very weak network, but not nearly as many as my laptop. I also have Norton Antivirus installed if that is at all useful.

The driver is installed properly, and device manager shows it as being functioning, but when i go into view available connections, it says none found. I have tried 2 separate cards, with the same issue. Now i did try an external USB wireless card, and that works fine, but nothing internal will.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI took this wifi adapter from a pc that isn't being used, and decided to plug it into one that is. While it was in the other pc, it worked, now that it's in this pc it doesn't detect ANY wifi networks. I decided to plug it into a laptop and it worked the minute the drivers were installed. The problems are as follows:
* When plugged into the pc, the adapter's utility app just says "Checking status" and no info being displayed thereafter.
* Windows says the device is working, but it does not come up in the Internet Access popup window in the task bar.
* No info comes up in Xirrus except for the name of the adapter.
I installed both the drivers that came with the adapter, and the latest drivers from windows update. Neither worked. It is a Billion BiPAC 3011N adapter.

When in Windows MODE the view network in range does NOT pick up anything even though the connection still exists.
How do I configure to see the networks in range ?
I have recently started (slowly) upgrading my computer. I have an older desktop, and I'm wanting to eliminate the ethernet cable so I can put my desktop anywhere in the house and not have to worry about running cables. I really can't afford the faster internet at this time and I'm having issues with streaming movies. So I really don't want to lose what speed my internet does have by switching to wireless. The USB adapter is less expensive by a few bucks, but I'm worries it might just stop working randomly, or be slow in comparison to a PCI card. Another issue is with my old motherboard, I only have 2 pci slots and one pci-e slot, I've ordered a new sound card, just installed a video card. So I only have one slot left, and I was wanting to put a TV tuner in that spot.
Should I get the USB (300mbps is what I'm looking at) or should I just get over wanting to put a tv tuner in and just get the card and install it? Just wanting some general advice on what more advanced users think of it. I've seen pci expansions online but that was just way out of my price range, and do not want to have to buy a new motherboard.
Just want to know how to synchronise two wireless interface cards so one will scan while the other will keep he connection with the remote host, the role will be interchanged by the two cards

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy laptop has suddenly stopped connecting wirelessly. Just fine with ethernet though. My Wireless adapter is enabled and showing fine in Device Manager and has the latest driver. Wireless Zero Configuration is enabled in services. I tried simply disabling and then re-enabling the wireless adapter but still no luck. I tried selecting the repair option for the wireless adapter and I get the exclamation in yellow triangle deal. I checked to see if I was having issues with firewall and that's not it either. When I click "View Available Wireless Networks" the dozen or so networks that use to appear are gone. I power cycled and reset my modem with no luck. I've also did an ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew in CMD but nothing changed. I have not changed any wireless settings for my NIC or modem/router and don't understand what else I can do.

today my Belkin 7050 wifi adapter arrived.I went through the install procedure from the cd,and when asked to plug in the adapter,I got the message asking for a notebook card, which I haven't got.It then told me that the drivers aren't installed. The device isn't showing in device manager.I called Belkin support but all the could suggest was that the device was to try it in another computer.I am unable to do this because the communal computer needs administrator rights to install programs etc.
