Im trying to use a poker client on a business network with a server, for example pokerstars cant connect to its servers from my computer at work how do i configure the server to allow my poker client to connect?
View 1 RepliesI have the WUSB600N wireless adapter, and I'm using it with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I'm using the latest driver available, 3.0.10.0. When Windows first starts, the adapter is not working properly and fails to connect to any networks, no matter how long I wait. If I unplug it and plug it back in after Windows is already running, I do not have this issue. This also does not occur when "restarting" the machine; only when turning the machine off and then back on.

All the other computers can connect wirelessly with no problems. so I know that the wireless on the router is good. funny thin is that I can connect to LAN through the wired port on the laptop. Recently I had to reinstall XP and since then have not been able to connect to my works wireless/wired internet most of the time. I have no trouble connecting to my wireless at home or basically anywhere else except work. Once in a rare while it will connect to work but if it's wireless it's low connectivity and if it's wired it's prone to just drop out again randomly. Both Pc's--->Switch--->Wired Router--->Wireless router/modem--->Phone line box.
I am running embarq high speed internet. I also have a network printer that follows the route as the pc's but has its own port.I used to have the 2 pc's networked to share a folder on the xp machine. Came in one day, and now the shared folder cannot be located by the Windows 7 machine. I have tried to run setup wizard for network over and over and cannot get any results. I can map the drive on the xp machine but it doesnt show up on the 7 machine, or I am just not able to locate it under my computers.

I have an iSSH app on my iPhone that I can now log in to as long as I am on our wireless network here at our office. However, I have to travel alot and usually I'm gone during the day that all our time corrections have to be adjusted and turned in. I just log into my Unix program and adjust it...however if I'm out of town I have to do the entire thing over the phone with a lady in our book keeping department and it's incredibly annoying and time consuming. So we're looking for a way to be able to access our system through my iSSH app while on cellular network rather than being here at the office. My administrator wants me to find this out so that all our department heads can do this. I don't have any way of getting our internet provider to set up a port forward, so the only information I have to work with is our static IP address, our default gateway, our subnet mask, and the primary and secondary dns servers.

The internet connection on my old computer has always been fine; all cables are connected correctly. However, this computer from work will not connect to the internet. The icon in the bottom right corner of the screen states that I am connected, but the internet browser claims that it is unable to display web pages. May the cause of this be related to any unique computer settings that a workplace may have on a computer in their network? I don't have the CD so I've downloaded it from this website and it loads and installs and launches but ultimately can never find the router. Part of the problem may be because I have a Verizon Fios Router already at 192.168.1.1. with the wifi and DHCP turned off, in favor of an Asus router which works well. I have tried taking the Cisco Connect installation off the wifi and onto a wifi through the E4200 Wan or Lan ports, but it still can't be found. I am able to get into the E4200v1 setting manually this way and to change its ip address to avoid the Fios Router conflict. But nothing works. Maybe I need to put the e4200 in the 192.168.1.1 range instead of the Asus 192.168.5.1 range? [code]

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll wires terminate in the basement as a RJ-45 plug, to be plugged into a switch housed in an old circuit breaker box. The first wire went off without a hitch, the jack works, the plug works, all is right with the world. The router for the home is currently plugged into that outlet so as to give the entire network as we build it internet. The second outlet is giving us problems though. I've fished the wire up the wall as before, and the length of wire is shorter than the first run. When I terminate the end upstairs as a jack, then plug in my laptop, it refuses to connect. It says the network cable is unplugged. If I terminate the cable as a plug, then plug it directly into the laptop, suddenly everything works. I have tried so far 3 different jacks, tested continuity on the jacks, and tested continuity on the wire to the jack pins to make sure the terminal block was working and everything came back green

I wanted to make one of them connect to a wireless printer so I added an Asus USB (wireless) dongle to that machine only.When first used the dongle sprang into life, connected to a wireless router in another part of the building (also mine, but nothing to do with this network) and downloaded a load of MS updates. Whilst an Internet connection was not really needed on that machine I thought 'all well and good', and proceeded to download MS Security Essentials onto that machine only. Once the printer software was installed on that computer it connected normally with the wireless printer and printed-out fine.It was only when I attempted to connect to the other computer via the hard-wired lan that I found that the connection between them was broken.

Is there a way to enable my home wifi network and the VPN so that the work computer can access the internet locally while I'm working? just one browser is all I need....
