Can't Find DNS Server Or Server IP

What happens is I can go on the internet normally i.e. watch videos, look up sites but when I go to play a game like Counter Strike I lose connection. I aslo occasionally lose connection when I'm just surfing the web but it happens most of the time when I play a game.According to the troubleshoot it says it can't find the DNS Server or the Server IP. I am running my computer off of a Linksys wireless usb because the room I am in dosen't have any phone lines.

Is is possible to find the iLO IP for a server that has no OS installed? I'm not completely sure how iLO works. I believe the person who needed the IP was going to mount an ISO for OS installation via iLO.

How would i find a "server address"? It is for an app i downloaded on my phone, the app is for my job...it allows me to view my schedule, punch in/out, request time off, etc..Our company (lowes) uses Kronos, which all of our scheduling, payroll, etc is all thriugh and they came out with app but you have to have "server address" We are on the Workforce Central 6.1 Version Suite.. I tried finding it while at work yesterday with no luck, I only found site address of which I couldnt even pull up here at home.

I have Call Of Duty installed on 2 desktop computers and a laptop.When I make a multiplayer LAN server on one of the desktops, the other desktop finds it but the laptop can't. So I don't know if the laptop is simply only connected to the internet, and the network is only on the two desktop computers, or if they have to be connected to the network to be connected to the internet (so the laptop is connected to the network, and there's a totally different problem going on), or what.Assuming that I just need to connect the laptop to the network, should/can I add it to the network between the two desktops, or do I need to make a totally separate network for it, or what? And how do I do it?

Atleast 2-3 times a day my internet will disconnect and will say cannot find DNS server. I have a brand new router and modem, my ISP is cable one, and this is very annoying. When the internet goes out my modem gets stuck on the sending green light. Only way for me to fix it is uplug everything for about 2 minutes and plug back in. Is there anyway to fix this? will post setting upon request

I am wanting to setup a small network at home. I am using Server 2008r2 64 bit running on VMWorkstation, which is the only way I can run a 64bit OS. I have it installed and running on VM with active directory and a domain created. My problem is trying to join the domain with my other PC's. They cannot find the domain name. The network connection on the VM is set to NAT.

All of a sudden -it worked before for ages- I cannot connect with just one particular Web site via either of my two Win XP and one Win 7 machines hard wired to a common Linksys Router/hub/switch. The message is much the same either via IE or Firefox, e.g. "server not found" I tried a Ping cmd with the same result-not found.

I run a media server to share two devices in my home (PS3, WDHD). I used to run these over a wireless connection.Now I run them over a wired connection and have encountered numerous problems by combining that wired connection with my new dlink dir-655 router.To begin with, my PS3 wasn't finding the media server unless I restarted the media server while the PS3 was on.Once I restarted the PS3 it could no longer find the media server again.I opened a TCP port on the windows firewall that was used by the media server app. The PS3 started finding the media server.

recently I had some malware on my Windows XP Professional (version 2002), so I followed a guide at Bleeping Computer [URL] to get rid of it. Problem is, for some reason, after I finished, I could no longer access the internet!When I try, FIrefox gives me their "could not connect" message: "Server not found. Firefox can't find the server at [site]." Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of [URL]"When I try to log into MSN, the troubleshoot says I have a problem with my DNS and Key Ports.I'm not good with computers so I Google'd and found some ping-ing instructions. When I tried to ping [site], I get: "Ping request could not find host [site]. check the name and try again." Earlier today I was attempting to do something with my router settings and ended up reading on the internet that I needed to do a hard reset to access my router interface - when I typed in the IP address, it came to a "could not find server" error in the browser. After doing the hard reset (holding down the reset button for 30 seconds) I was able to access the router, and adjust the settings. After doing this though I was no longer able to connect to the internet through the router, although the router is sending out a signal (it says connected to linksys but "no internet connection"). I am currently connected directly to the modem right now using my laptop.
Additional Information:
Router model: WRT45G v.3
ISP: Bellsouth
TL;DR: Did a hard reset on my router, now it's sending out a signal, but no internet. Modem still has internet, as does the router, (the internet button is green).

We recently got the telstra tg782t wifi modem from bigpond. When we first got it, we were able to connect and use the wifi on our ipods. but recently we have been connecting to the modem but when i go on safari or app store it says that it cannot find the server.

I've just bought a WUSB300N Wireless USB Network Adapter and installed it with the Vista drivers on my Windows 2008 server. Drivers are succesfully installed and the Device status says "Device is working properly" but when I want to connect to a network it doesnot show any networks. I'm sure there are network available because I'm connected now on my other laptop ;-) typing this message.

I'am using ASA 5510 and I try to understand how PAT is working.I want to add a Mail Server in the LAN and a webmail using port 3000 on the server. ( webmail must be reachable from the WAN)This is my Configuration :actually LAN users access internet using NAT with one global IP ( 194.x.x.69) which is the ASA WAN interface.
WAN ----- ISP Router ---------- FW ---------- LAN -------- Mail Server + Webmail

I need to forward port 3000 and port 25 from outside to inside.For example, from the WAN : [URL] must be redirect toward 192.168.1.6:3000 . What is the Correct Configuration ? And what about the Inside/Outside Traffic,Is there any configuration to add ?

i've been using a VPN to connect to my home network from elsewhere for a few months. It's set up as follows:
PPTP
Maximum Strength Encryption
EAP-MSCHAP-v2 Authentication
Now I find out that MSCHAPv2 authentication has been broken and is no longer considered secure (even by Microsoft), so I want to change the protocol I'm using to make it secure.
However, I've spent 3 hours now researching this and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use a better protocol on my Windows Server 2012 home server. I've tried setting up PEAP authentication (still PPTP) a la Microsoft's recommendation document, but it requires a certificate. I've created a self-signed certificate but it seems I can't issue certificates (via this method) without being a member of a domain, so I'm stuck. I can't even get started with L2TP since I can't find the option for it.
My question is this: Is there a way to setup a secure VPN server using Windows Server 2012 without a domain? If so, how do I do this?

I purchased the EA6500 a few days ago, and when I'm connected to Cisco Connect Cloud I am unable to select Folder Access / FTP Server / Media Server. I click them and nothing happens.Also, the Cisco light on the router keeps blinking.

We have Cisco ASA 5505 with ASDM 5.2 We have one Proxy server in our Local Lab and pointed to Hosted service(Simple Signal)issue is, When our proxy server send register to hosted server, ASA change private IP and post with outside IP and src port as 1063 every time.

I put multiple rservers in multiple server farms?
So for example rserver1 and rserver2 are put in serverfarm production1 and are in use with particular sticky and load balancing settings.
Can I then create serverfarm test_production and put both rserver1 and rserver2 in it? Then play around with the sticky and load balancing settings as a test without affecting the production serverfarm.

I'm trying to design a CSS configuration that allows servers in the same vlan to be the source and destination of load-balanced traffic. My thought is to add two new vlans, one for the VIPs and one for the servers, then NAT the source IPs going from the LB to the servers.
Is this the right way to do it?I've never NATted using CSSs, so I wanted to verify what I'm thinking.Our current config trunks the vlans -
