Feb 4, 2013How would i find a "server address"? It is for an app i downloaded on my phone, the app is for my job...it allows me to view my schedule, punch in/out, request time off, etc..Our company (lowes) uses Kronos, which all of our scheduling, payroll, etc is all thriugh and they came out with app but you have to have "server address" We are on the Workforce Central 6.1 Version Suite.. I tried finding it while at work yesterday with no luck, I only found site address of which I couldnt even pull up here at home.

Nov 10, 2012I replaced my router with a Motorola Surfboard cable modem/router combo. Since then I cannot access my backup hard drive (buffalo linkstation 250g about 8 yrs old). Everything worked fine before I replaced the router.The only thing I have on my network is my HP laptop, vonage box and hard drive. Windows 7, Explorer 9.Router: 192.168.0.1 HD: 192.168.1.150I've tried "tracert" and only get back the router address. I've tried connecting directly from my laptop to the HD and tried the ip instead of the 'name'. I replaced the cables, rebooted the laptop, router and hard drive. I also went through the whole "add devices" on "devices and printers" and "search network for devices"

Jan 26, 2012My boss is asking me to write a batch file or use a utility to monitor the uptime of 16 different ISP accounts that we use across several stores. Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?

I know that there are two IP addresses: The WAN IP which is what your IP address looks like while connecting to the internet. There is also an IP address assigned to you by your router. If both machines are on the same network, then I am able to make the client connect to the server by providing the Router-IP. But when they are on different networks, they do not connect even when i give the WAN IP. How exactly do I specify an address for a remote device ?
