Jan 21, 2013I have RADIUS servers configured to authenticate administrative users and authorize them at a low level. This is working well. I also have a local level-15 user in case all of my RADIUS servers time out and someone needs to change something. This also works well. The issue I'm having is that a low-level user can log on using the RADIUS severs, then issue the "login" command and enter the local level-15 user's credentials and then operate at level 15.
I do not want the local account to work at all, except in the case that all RADIUS servers are unavailable. What I've described above works around this. How to disable the "login" command or force it to try RADIUS servers first? This is for ASA 8.2

My friend used to do this on his website and it worked across multiple games, so people only entered his website and didnt need to remember the IP. if you type in [URL] in minecraft then u can add that server without the IP, thats what i mean.

What I need to know is how to add the IP address helper command to the switch?I have a number of IP phones which are not getting an IP address from DHCP (PCs which are diasy chained off the phones are all working correctly). On the higher end switches I would have added the IP address helper command to the VLAN and that would have sorted it. How to do this on the small business switch.

May 22, 2012I have a client that has 2 servers behind the same router. They have an IP block from Time Warner -> (x.x.x.18-.30) The router has the IP address of x.x.x.18. Server A (192.168.1.6) is setup with the forwarding of ports 22, 23, and 115 and can be seen with the ip address x.x.x.18. An external company needs to access the other server and is requesting an external IP for Server B (192.168.1.5) which need the same ports open along with 6200.What is the best way to set this up with what they have? The router is a Linksys WRT54G. Is there a way to set them up with a x.x.x.19 address from time warner? Is this something time warner will need to do?

Servers :: Default Gateway / IP And DNS Address For Client PC?
May 29, 2012Client is having 1 file server running small business windows server 2003. Server is not configured with domain, it is working only on workgroup. We have around 15 users who are using that server as file server only. Now my main question is do i need to configure DNS server in that server?we also have internet connection running (have problem in that also, will explain next time) with wireless router to connected with switch. So do I need to setup dns in server also or just put static ip (I prefer static then dhcp) & dns server from ip will be ok? If I put dns which I got from ISP, so will it create any problem with using those file from server?the second question is..
