Setup A New Notebook And It Can't Find The IP Address
Sep 16, 2011I am trying to set up a new notebook and it can't find the IP Address. I do not know my IP address or remember my password. My server is BK Mom.

The problem is that the main PCB has a realtek chip which I believe has the most basic webserver abilities that is used in the most basic way possible. To use it ARP commands were used to assign an IP address to the chips MAC address e.g. something like: arp -s 192.168.2.5 00-05-a4-00-a8-f8(the actual MAC address was lost along with the HD)So now I'm starting from scratch in XP, how do I find the MAC address in the first place?
