Dec 17, 2007When ever I create a network object in ASDM 6.0(3) the UI also wants to send the command 'asdm location (network object IP address)' to the device.What is the purpose of 'asdm locaction ....'? Is it telling the ASA-5540 that the IP address is allowed to connect to the device using ASDM?If that is the case why does 'asdm location xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'get denerated for every network object I create?

it also gives me the same error if I try and change the Device type from default to a sub group. I'm sure I could do this previously. The ACS build is (VMWARE install):

Jan 26, 2012My boss is asking me to write a batch file or use a utility to monitor the uptime of 16 different ISP accounts that we use across several stores. Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?

May 1, 2013I can get on the internet and surf just fine but when i go to maps or Gas Buddie, or check in with Facebook it says" my device can not be located. Are location services turned on on the device." I have checked on my ipad and location services are on, on everything. I had no problem with the other router I had. I also have a Sprint Airave connected to my internet, but again i had no problem with the other router. The router is definitely faster than my old one and set up was easy but its very frustrating to not be able to find my location.

I've used the VPN Site to Site wizard to configure the VPN but after the wizard completes how does one verify VPN connectivity via ASDM? Also, I've run debug crypto IPSec and isakmp and see absolutely nothing? So how does one verify that the VPN is up and if it is not, how does one troubleshoot why it is not? When i connect to switch router 3945 and switch 3750, router 2911 on Cisco view then I receive "cannot find applicable device package for 10.1.241.10". Need to reinstall device package. The version of Cisco work LMS is 3.2. I check Active log and receive message .
