We have an issue with View db (Monitoring & Reports) backup on ACS, version 5.2.0.26. We have scheduled incremental backup daily and full backup monthly. Everything has been working well, but since yesterday following errors have appeared, and full and incremental backup stopped working:

We are trying to make a restore from the backup done on ACS version 5.1 to a new appliance running ACS5.2 Before doing it I found this note in Cisco ACS user guide:
Note: You cannot back up data from an earlier version of ACS and restore it to a later version. Backup and restore must be performed on the same version of ACS. If you need the data on a different version of the ACS, you can perform an upgrade after you restore the data. Refer to the Installation and Setup Guide for Cisco Secure Access Control System 5.1 for more information on upgrading ACS to later versions.
How should I understand it? This note has conflicting statements. We can't restore to a later version but if you need data on a different version of ACS you can perform an upgrade AFTER YOU RESTORE the data. Doesn't it mean that the restore will still work? How would I do the upgrade to version 5.2 or even version 5.3 that was announced to be released very soon? I didn't find anything on the software upgrade in ACS5.1 guide.

For some reason i can't get access anymore to the web interface of our ACS 5.3 appliance.Where i used to get a certificate warning first, and after that the ACS5 login screen, i now get totally no response anymore in my IE browser.
I can telnet to port 443 of the unit however. And i (fortunately) still have ssh access to the unit. So i did a reload (microsoft habits) but that did'nt solve anything.https access to other systems from the same browser is functioning fine

It's a newly install.

I have setup an Identity Firewall on a ASA version 5.6 on a DMZ interface.I have installed the ADAgent on a domain member Win2008 and configured as follows: [code]
where ashdew is a domain user and ACL 122(only one line) is applied on the dmz interface and NAT is properly configured.The ADagent has been properly tested and ASA can register to it.The ASA can connect to AD DC controller and query user database.I have placed a laptop ip 172.17.h.x on the DMZ and can ping the DMZ interface.
The laptop cannot authenticate on the domain and the asa does not seem to retrieve the user identity.Do I need to add extra rules in the access-list 122 to permit trafic to DC?Can I check on the AD Agent if it can retrieve the user to ip mapping ?

I have a WRT54GL v1.1 that has firmware version 4.30.14 build 5 installed(according to the device). The latest version listed on your website is 4.30.13. What does this mean? How do I get a backup of my current version?The device seems to be working fine and the manual I downloaded seems to cover it. I'm on a Mac so I have to set it up manually.

I have deployed 7 appliances 5.2.0.26.4 CSACS-1121-K9 whose 6 are performing AAA authentications while the last one is is the primary and is the master for configuration and log collector.
Since this morning, I cannot access anymore the view where I can see all Radius authentication for today. I obtain the following message:The server workspace storage for on demand transient reports is full, please try again later or contact administrator to increase on demand transient report storage capacity?
Moreover, if I generate other report, I have the message:18002: iPortal generate report failed.I could find some information which makes references to a Cisco bug CSCtb98071, as below:
Launching a shared report in the ACS 5.1 Monitoring and Report Viewer displays an iportal error for a particular scenario.
#Symptom: You will see the following iportal error message when you launch a shared report:
#iPortal generate report failed.

#Conditions: This error occurs when you add a report to a group in the interactive viewer and save it as a shared report.
#Workaround: Avoid using the option Add Group from the interactive viewer for hyperlinked column entries when you save the report as shared
However, I am not adding any report to any group, so I don't understand why this error appears and how to solve it.

we have installed a new appliance of LMS 4.2.2 in our VmWare environment. The platform is running licensed to work with 1300 devices. We have approximately 500 devices in DCR, most of them are small switches ranging from Catalyst 2950 to Catalyst 3750, and also a bunch of Nexus 5548 switches.CiscoView is not working for any of them, we get an error message which we cannot interpret. We have updated to the newest possible device packages, but all to no avail.

We have a Cisco ACS 5.2 deployment (appliance). It has an existing integration with Active Directory. We utilize this with RADIUS to authenticate our wireless users and TACACS for managing our network equipment.The RADIUS reports are useful for other teams (outside my own) to be able to troubleshoot password and account lockouts (everyone forgets to change the password on their phone).I would like to allow this team and other access to view the RADIUS authentications report.

I am having trouble viewing all the Administration logs in ACS View. I have my Local Log Target set to a Maximum log retention period of 90 days. In ACS View I can display authentications that go back 90 days + However when I try and display the "ACS_Configuration_Audit" in View and perform a Custom query that goes back 90 days it will only display about 35 days of Admin logs.I know the logs are there because when I go into CLI and do a search like "show logging | i "ObjectType=Administrator Account" the Administration logs go back over a year.why ACS View cannot display all the Admin logs?The ACS is running v5.1.0.44 Patch 6 (Also experiencing this in a v5.2 ACS as well)

we have ACS 4.1 appliance and will do upgrade to 4.2. We need backup user database and system settings.via Gui I am not sure what all we backed up - dmp file seems to be only encrypted user databse but it can be crypted back up file.
How is possible do complete backup of current machine (user database and system config)? Is it possible via Gui or has to be done CLI access?After upgrade will be on machine previous config and database or or will be appliance completelly re-imaged?

I've been setting up building and testing our new ACS 5.x boxes and I've been running into a spot of bother with the backup restore feature. This most likely due to my unfamiliarity with the tool.
As part of my testing for Backup/Restore, I first backup the data using the Removal and backup tool in Secure ACS View (found under data management. I then confirm that the new FULL backup has been populated my test repository and is available in the restore feature. (also under Data Management) My next step is to create a few test Network Device Groups, Identity groups, and users Then I go back to the restore feature select the Back up file I just created, I also check the box Skip View Database backup before Restore and hit the restore button.
The box goes through the expected steps including a reload. When it comes back up I would expect the test users, groups etc I created after the last backup to be gone as they did not exist at that time. Although I find the opposite is true. Any settings I made after the last backup are still present. I do not have incremental backups enabled.
I essentially want to test a backup of the database of users and groups/rules etc make changes and then restore that database to the previous backed up configuration.

Due to some wrong access policy applied in the administration control settings. GUI access is not functioning. So we need to take a backup thru CLI mode using FTP server. I have tried using the backup command in the console & taken the backup using the following steps. But the backup file is less than 1kb. I need the exact Db backup to be taken.
Step 1 Log in to the ACS SE. I have saved the running configuration to startup first and rebooted the ACS 5.1. Since then it has stopped Authentication logs, though I can login to the network devices using Tacacs login, but I am not getting Tacacs authentication logs ?

Automatically backup is already set on local machine, but the thing is, i want to configure automatically backup on my file server (ex. \1.1.1.1acsbackup). We have ACS 5.3, and trying to set up sftp backup on freesshd server. SSH connection works, but ACS cannot copy backup file to sftp server, we get following errors:

I am not able to backup ACS 5.x server by means of SFTP protocol. We use ACS 5-2-0-26-2. My configuration of repository is:

command 'backup acs01 repository SFTP' does not work and I receive the following error message on ACS server:

How to successfully performed backup by means of SFTP protocol? Do I need any other configuration settings except repository? Do I need to store my SSHD RSA key to ACS? I am able to copy files using SFTP from other computers, so it seems that SFTP server is set correctly.

My internet stopped working all of the sudden on my 2nd computer my 1st computer works fine (using atm) my 2nd computer stopped working all of the sudden it worked fine for about 2 years but the internet just went off for some reason it shows a computer with a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point on the bottom right corner it says connected but with limited connectivity ive tryed everything i know it is a windows XP i even bought a new internet cable today and the computer still does not work im new to these forums.
