Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: Application Upgrade Of ACS 5.4 Manifest?

I'm trying to upgrade my ACS 5.3 (patch 7) to ACS 5.4 and I've downloaded the application bundle from Cisco. I'm transferring the app bundle via FTP towards the VM containing ACS, yet I ALWAYS get %Manifest File not found in bundle. I've opened the bundle and found the manifest .xml inside.
I've double verified MD5 checks, size files, re-downloaded everything, even copied it to the local disk of the appliance. Also browsed through this forum to see that there are people having the same problem with other ACS version upgrades and besides re-downloading and using FTP there isn't a specific solution. I'm always getting this error. I know that it must be possible to do upgrade, but I'm stuck. I do see on the FTP server logs that the file gets transferred, but as pretty much as soon as it finishes transferring (not enough time in my view to extract a 1.2 GB file) I get an error

I have successfully installed the 5.0.21.9 patch and ADE-OS 1.2 update but when I attempt the 5.1 install via "app install ACS_5.1.0.44.tar.gz local" I get the error "Manifest file not found in the bundle."
Here is a debug of the install:

I created the repository by TFTPing the file to disk:/Upgrade and pointing a repository to disk:/Upgrade. I verified the checksum of the file as it sits on my TFTP server and also manually extracted the file to verify the manifest.xml file is actually there.

I am trying to upgrade a brand new ISE 3395 from 1.0.3.337 to 1.0.4 (latest). It keeps failing with % Manifest file not found in the bundle Here is the output:

I can't find anything about this for ISE, although there are a lot of topics for the same error for ACS.

We upgraded a CSACS-1121 from ACS 5.2 to ACS 5.4 with CLI Application upgrade ACS_5.4.0.46.0a.tar.gz FTP After ACS reboot, services never start... After 15 hours, we always get same message:
ACS/admin# show application status acs
Application initializing...
Status is not yet available.
Please check again in a minute.
We installed patch 5-4-0-46-2.tar.gpg but we got same issue for 2 hours ...What could I do?

Is it possible to upgrade the CSACS-1121-UP-K9 to be a non upgrade part? We were going to upgrade from a Windows 4.x to the above Appliance (version 5.x) but there is now a reason to keep the old Windows version running therefore we cannot give the new Appliance the old ACS's licenses?!So we should have (with hindsight) bought a fresh version of the ACS 5.x rather than an upgrade.

Is it possible to upgrade ACE 4710 from A3 to A4? What does this actualy means by A3, A4 & A5.
I want to upgrade ACE from A3 to A4 becase I want to enable switch-mode on ACE. Current S/W version is A3 2.0 which is not supporting this command. While reffering the command refernce guide saw that this command is supported in A2 & A4 version from 2.0 itself but for A3 in 2.7 (which is the latest) also this is not supporting this feature.

I have two GSS. One in side A and one in side B. This in side A is primary and make management function, this in side B is secondary. Site A and B are DC work in active-active.

I read that first I have to upgrade primary. But what with secondary? How it work? When I will be upgrade primary it will be not impact to synchronization with secondary?

I am currently running A3(2.6) and evaluate the possibility of upgrading to A4(2.1). The Instal & Upgrade Guide A4(2.0) mentions that A4(2.0) does not include all features of A4(1.1). Does this apply to A4(2.1)? The Release Notes mentions a list of features merged from A4(1.1) to A4(2.1) but does not clarify if there any features not merged.

I have a pair of ACE 4710s with 12 contexts sharing the load, running A4(2.1). esterday I upgraded one of them to A4(2.3) now I cannot telnet to the Admin context.Pings ok. I can telnet to other contexts on the box and everything seems to be working ok when i do a " sh telnet" comes back with

I need to upgrade 2 active-standby cisco ACE4710, the issue is I cannot access FTP/TFTP/SFTP server via Admin context but can be accessible via other contexts.
Can I copy the ACE system software file from FTP/SFTP/TFTP server to image: directory durectly or need some other way around ? I could see the option is available to copy ftp: to image: via other context.

Upgrading a 4710. This is a brand new ACE out of the box and I have tried to upgrade a couple of times but get the same error... Here are the details:

I have a ACE20 module with a performance of 4 Gbps. I want to upgrade the performance from 4 Gbps to 8 Gbps. Is correct the following SKU for the upgrade?
ACE30-UPG-08-K9=ACE10 or ACE20 to ACE30 Upgrade for 8 Gbps Throughput
And if i want to upgrade the performance to 16Gbps is correct the sku?

I noticed that the price list of both codes is the same....
Is it right for the SKUs listed I get the new module with the performance ACE30 requested?

We are running ACE 20 modules in highly available active / standby (all active contexts on one module) mode. Currently they are on A2 (2.4) version. We are going to upgrade them to A2 (3.6a). The question is that how ling can we run them in two different SW levels? In otherwords can we have few days between upgrading both modules?

procedure to apply the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg patch. I don't know how to get the patch file into the ACS server.The procedure in the "Read me" for the patch does not indicate anything about how to this:
1. open CLI console2. define new repository in which the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg resides3. issue: 'acs patch install 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg repository YOUR_REPOSITORY'4. verify installation by getting the following version information via CLI by issuing:#show application version acs I don't know how to put the patch file from my local machine to the repository created in the GUI (if there is where the actual place to creat the repository).

I had a working server running ISE version 1.1.0.665 but someone in the build room decided to pull the power out of the server rather than shutting it down correctly. I have booted the server back up however the web management page was not accessable. I have checked the server status and the end result is the Application Server in the "still initializing" stage. I have left the server for several hours and the status has not changed.
I know people have previously run into this issue but no one has posted any resolution or confirmed that a rebuild is the only solution. I have tried to create an on-demand backup but it seems to fail when attempting to provide the credentials (which are correct) for the FTP server.

I'm currently running ACS 5.3 Patch 7 in a VM on VMware ESXi. I download the application upgrade bundle, and placed it in my SFTP repository, and ran "application upgrade filename repository name". It throws an error that the manifest file is not found in the bundle.
I tried putting the ACS.gz file in an FTP repository, and even in an ISO file to attach to the VM. In all cases I receive this same error.I did verify the md5sum on the file to make sure it wasn't corrupted..
