I have two GSS. One in side A and one in side B. This in side A is primary and make management function, this in side B is secondary. Site A and B are DC work in active-active.
I have version 3.1.2 and I have to upgrade to 4.1 becouse 4.1 work with DNSSec. This is true?
I read that first I have to upgrade primary. But what with secondary? How it work? When I will be upgrade primary it will be not impact to synchronization with secondary?

Is it possible to upgrade ACE 4710 from A3 to A4? What does this actualy means by A3, A4 & A5.
I want to upgrade ACE from A3 to A4 becase I want to enable switch-mode on ACE. Current S/W version is A3 2.0 which is not supporting this command. While reffering the command refernce guide saw that this command is supported in A2 & A4 version from 2.0 itself but for A3 in 2.7 (which is the latest) also this is not supporting this feature.

We are currently running ANM server version 4.1. I am trying to upgrade to version 5.1. But when I run the "application upgrade anm-va-5.1.ova Upgrade" command, I receive an error that states: "Manifest file not found in the bundle".I then tried to run the install command with the same error.

I am currently running A3(2.6) and evaluate the possibility of upgrading to A4(2.1). The Instal & Upgrade Guide A4(2.0) mentions that A4(2.0) does not include all features of A4(1.1). Does this apply to A4(2.1)? The Release Notes mentions a list of features merged from A4(1.1) to A4(2.1) but does not clarify if there any features not merged.

I have a pair of ACE 4710s with 12 contexts sharing the load, running A4(2.1). esterday I upgraded one of them to A4(2.3) now I cannot telnet to the Admin context.Pings ok. I can telnet to other contexts on the box and everything seems to be working ok when i do a " sh telnet" comes back with

I need to upgrade 2 active-standby cisco ACE4710, the issue is I cannot access FTP/TFTP/SFTP server via Admin context but can be accessible via other contexts.
Can I copy the ACE system software file from FTP/SFTP/TFTP server to image: directory durectly or need some other way around ? I could see the option is available to copy ftp: to image: via other context.

Upgrading a 4710. This is a brand new ACE out of the box and I have tried to upgrade a couple of times but get the same error... Here are the details:

I'm trying to upgrade my ACS 5.3 (patch 7) to ACS 5.4 and I've downloaded the application bundle from Cisco. I'm transferring the app bundle via FTP towards the VM containing ACS, yet I ALWAYS get %Manifest File not found in bundle. I've opened the bundle and found the manifest .xml inside.
I've double verified MD5 checks, size files, re-downloaded everything, even copied it to the local disk of the appliance. Also browsed through this forum to see that there are people having the same problem with other ACS version upgrades and besides re-downloading and using FTP there isn't a specific solution. I'm always getting this error. I know that it must be possible to do upgrade, but I'm stuck. I do see on the FTP server logs that the file gets transferred, but as pretty much as soon as it finishes transferring (not enough time in my view to extract a 1.2 GB file) I get an error

I have a ACE20 module with a performance of 4 Gbps. I want to upgrade the performance from 4 Gbps to 8 Gbps. Is correct the following SKU for the upgrade?
ACE30-UPG-08-K9=ACE10 or ACE20 to ACE30 Upgrade for 8 Gbps Throughput
And if i want to upgrade the performance to 16Gbps is correct the sku?
ACE30-UPG-16-K9=ACE10 or ACE20 to ACE30 Upgrade for 16 Gbps Throughput
I noticed that the price list of both codes is the same....
Is it right for the SKUs listed I get the new module with the performance ACE30 requested?

We are running ACE 20 modules in highly available active / standby (all active contexts on one module) mode. Currently they are on A2 (2.4) version. We are going to upgrade them to A2 (3.6a). The question is that how ling can we run them in two different SW levels? In otherwords can we have few days between upgrading both modules?

We upgraded a CSACS-1121 from ACS 5.2 to ACS 5.4 with CLI Application upgrade ACS_5.4.0.46.0a.tar.gz FTP After ACS reboot, services never start... After 15 hours, we always get same message:
ACS/admin# show application status acs
Application initializing...
Status is not yet available.
Please check again in a minute.
We installed patch 5-4-0-46-2.tar.gpg but we got same issue for 2 hours ...What could I do?

Everytime I make a config change to one of the contexts on our ACE20, I get this message: Config Application in Progress. This command is queued to the system
If I run show download info, I get:

I have two Windows 7 computers and neither one will successfully upgrade a 1242 AP to LWAP. However, I go to a coworker's XP machine and run the tool without issues. On Windows 7 I keep receiving the error message of ACL or Firewall is blocking. I have added rules and then even tried disabling the firewalls completely on both computers and still no success.

Is it possible to upgrade the CSACS-1121-UP-K9 to be a non upgrade part? We were going to upgrade from a Windows 4.x to the above Appliance (version 5.x) but there is now a reason to keep the old Windows version running therefore we cannot give the new Appliance the old ACS's licenses?!So we should have (with hindsight) bought a fresh version of the ACS 5.x rather than an upgrade.

We've got an application that broke after upgrading our ACEs from A5(2.1) to A5(2.2); the problem lies in how the ACE handles URLs with embedded backslash characters in them - e.g.: URL
Prior to the upgrade the ACE would forward these to the back-end servers; after the upgrade the ACE resets the client connection.
(We're doing SSL offload on the ACE; the back-end connection is HTTP over port 80, only the client-side traffic is over SSL.)
Some browsers will convert these to percent-encoded form - i.e. URL
and things work for these; but other browsers won't do this. So I'd like to set up a rewrite rule in the ACE that will replace any (or at least the first) '' with the string '%5C'. Just how to do this isn't clear from the command ref, and the config guide is a tad shy on similar examples.

I want to deploy a high availability solution for web servers in two data centers. In the primary data center I have deployed a group of web server and I want two deploy additional servers in a secondary data center for disaster recovery and high availability. I have been trying to addACE20-MOD-K9 in ANM 4.2 (0) but when I try to import it times out and I get
""Failed to import ACE configuration: Device discovery failed: Connection timed out.""
I have double-checked credentialn and access rules on the module and they seem OK. I am trying to add the module with the Admin credentials and ssh/telnet access is permited.
Is this the right way or I'm missing something. Module version is A2(3.2a)

I have an issue with a customer that wants to update a server behind the ACE. The problem is that when the application wants to update the server it does it with the name.Doing some research I found that you can rewrite the record DNS based on the static NAT you set up on the ACE. The feature is called DNS inspection. Is the same feature as the ASA (DNS doctoring).I apply it to the outside interface and it did not work.

I face an issue while creating source nat on cisco ACE. There is already a default source nat ip for the context. I created a new one for smtp traffic alone. Iam facing issues in prefixing the newly created nat-pool rule(nat-pool 100) above the default one (nat-pool 2257) on the external gateway interface as its not placing that on top ,due to which only the default snat ip is getting shown on all servers.

I am trying to configure sticky on an ACE 4710 and don't understand what the netmask part of the sticky ip-netmask netmask address {source | destination | both } name command.
Some examples use 255.255.255.255 and others use 255.255.255.0 but I don't know what the significance is or what it does?
I am going to configure for both source IP and destination IP (both).
