We currently have an issue with our main ISE. When logged in using the admin account (member of superadmin group) we no longer see the Profiling button/menu and also missing oter options in the GUI. On another standalone ISE we do see al those options?
Both are running on the same software version 1.1.1.268.We are using ISE 3395-K9 appliances
how profiling works exactly ?How intelligent is the profiling engine, meaning: Will it discover that one device has more than one different MACs and will merge the entries in the database ??
Example:This is in fact the same device, there is only one WLC-2500 in the network ....If it can discover that, what needs to be configured on the ISE to do that ?

Everything seems to work fine except that there is no Wireless option in the menu. I updated the firmware and reset to factory defaults, but the wireless option still does not appear in the menu.
I have just change the DNS domain name of my ISE from CLI and restarted the appliance (its a 3395 appliance)However,, when i log in via GUI it doesnt reflect the new dns name.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ISE 3395 appliance that comes with ISE version 1.1.1.I've decided to upgrade it to version 1.1.2 patch 5 (latest patch version) and played with it for a few days. I set it up as a stand-alone box.
Now, I need to deploy this box as administration and monitoring. So, I put in the command "application reset-factory" to set it back to factory.Does it mean the ISE version of this box will still be at version 1.1.2 patch 5 and I will get a clean box to do whatever I want, similar to Cisco IOS of "write erase" and "reload" to have a clean box?
We have integrated WLC 5508 to cisco ise 3315 with ios 1.1.1 and using Guest Sponsor portal for wireless guest users.Where we have created open ssid in wlc and redirect web login portal in wlc for guest users. We have enable all respective node in policy service for profiling and also configure snmp in wlc as well as in ise.
When guest user is connected to open ssid its get redirected to web login page of ise portal and when it gets login we are only able to see the username which guest user login but not the end device in monitoring log.
Wireless End devices are not able to get profiled can any one tell me what configuration I need to do on ise or wlc side to profiled end guest wireless device like android,iphone and laptops
While installing ISE 3395 i am getting error failed to start DB!
Database is not available withintimeout of 240 seconds.this could be reason of incorrect network configuration or lack of resources on the appliance or VM, run the folloing CLI to re-prime database 'application reset-config ise'
So we have multiple ISE Servers with differing personals. I was having an issue with our new ISE setup not identifying AD Group Attributes when using them in Authorization rules. We have 2- 3395 appliances running Admin and Monitoring/Troubleshooting Personas and 2- 3395 appliances running as Policy server personas. We are running v1.1.1.268 with the latest two patches. I was unable to pull Active Directory Group Attributes in any of my Authorization rules. After Resyncing all the boxes with the Primary Administration box I was able to do this. There is no bug listings for this occurrence nor do we have Smartnet to call support for other reasons.

Unfortunely the "Access Restrictions" menu is missing in the admin GUI; I 've got all the others : "Set -up", "Wireless", "Security", Storage, Applications and Gaming, Administration and Status. I've checked the Firmware already and i'm using the very last one available on the cisco web site. I also noticed that I do not have the "Linksys by Cisco" text on the upper left corner as one can read on user guide but just "Cisco".

I can't find anything about this for ISE, although there are a lot of topics for the same error for ACS.
I used to share the internet between a Win 7 Home edition machine and a Win 7 Starter through ad hoc connection.(The Win 7 Home machine has the internet cable connected to it). I have noticed the Internet Connection Sharing button missing from the Win 7 machine for awhile now. As far as I remember I did not do anything untoward the Win 7 machine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BEFSR41 ver 4.3 and I upgraded my firmware to 2.00.4.8 from within the router. Had a problem with the flashing power light. Resolved the issue after reading another post on this forum using the TFTP utility. Now, however, if I go into either Port Forwarding or Port Triggering and change anything, there is no Save Changes button to click on in either page. They are missing. If I click away, or close the browser and come back, all changes I made are lost. I have tried reloading the firmware at least four times. I've powered off, pressed the reset button and any combination of these that you can reasonably think of. The buttons are gone! I have tried accessing the router from both IE and Firefox, accessing the router from all the machines on my network, to no avail. Everything was working fine before the upgrade, of course. The router does not have the option to save the old firmware before any upgrades are made. The original firmware has been overwritten so I can't go back to it.

I am trying to set up port forwarding on this router but it seems I need to use virtual servers but in all the guides there is a menu for this under the advance settings nat menu.I do not have that option, I have downloaded the latest firmware but still nothing.
When I upgraded my cisco 3750 ME from c3750me-i5k91-mz.122-46.SE to c3750me-i5k91-mz.122-58.SE2.bin all commands for radius disappeared? However, there are a lot of commands to ldap which was missing in the previous version. Seems as if the radius has disappeared and been replaced by ldap?

I have a problem trying to export logs to the Cisco ACS View from my ACS 4.2In the document [URL] Cisco states that one of the mandatory attributes for export to work is "Network Access Profile Name" under TACACS+ Accounting (under ACS 4.2 System configuration -> Logging settings). Well, I don't have this mandatory attribute listed in ACS under TACACS+ accounting log configuration. I tried to ignore this attribute, but then ACS View complains about null value for the attribute mentioned above.Is this some bug in ACS View or ACS or maybe I simply missing something?

Secondly I have a slave router running all the wired/wireless things in the kids rooms its a netgear and when i say 'slave' I figured out if you put the input from the first router into port1 instead of input it works as a slave.
Problem is I need to get into the router menu on the netgear, it was ip add 192.168.1.1 then when i slaved it it was 10.0.0.1 - (I think) but I have tried recentley to get onto it and can't for the life of me. I have tried wirelessly and through ethernet cable but can't get the menu.
After an upgrade from LMS 4.2 to 4.2.1 Legacy menu is completely empty. Is it a bug? If it's empty, how to get to some of DFM options (like rediscovery, discovery status etc.) They seem not present in "Site map".

I was configuring a new unit straight out of the box to test a configuration for a client. I got most of of the configuration done and was noticing the menus were quirky and so I check to firmware and discovered it was 1.1.16 (* down level).
I finished my setup and rebooted to complete the changes, when I went back to log into the console it would Actively refuses to connect . the first time after powering on it shows the page title as setup before failing
I have tried a hard reset ( 15 Seconds reset) but it does not work . it doesn't even reset the settings. (static IP etc still there)

Currently I have a Netgear WNA3100 connected which works fine but I to use the TP-Link to connect to a second network simultaneously.Here's the problem.The drivers installed just fine for the TP-Link adapter. Windows shows that its connected as a USB device (USB2.0 WLAN) and Network & Sharing Centre shows it is being "Wireless Network Connection 4"(The Netgear one shows as "Wireless Network Connection 2")However, when i try to use the TP-Link one to connect to a network, it doesn't show up in the "Network Connections" menu on the Taskbar, and when i disconnect the Netgear one it says that it can't find any wireless connections at all; note that "Network & Sharing Centre" still shows the TP-Link Adapter as being connected to the PC).Tried Reinstalling the TP-Link Software, updating it, etc. Restarted PC. Disabled Netgear connection. Physically Disconnected Netgear Adapter and still no luck.
