Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: Create A New ACS 5.3 User Via RESTclient (Mozilla Plug-in)

I'm trying to create a new ACS 5.3 user via RESTclient (Mozilla plug-in). Which are the header and the body content to send invoking https://172.26.0.72/Rest/Identity/User/ with POST method?
At first I use ACS 4.2 to create static ip address user for remote access VPN,It's easy,just configuration it at user set>Client IP Address Assignment>Assign static IP address,but when I use ACS 5.2 I dont't know how to do it.
I try to add IPv4 address attribute to user by read "ACS 5.2 user guide" ,it says this:
Step 1Add a static IP attribute to internal user attribute dictionary: Step 2Select System Administration > Configuration > Dictionaries > Identity > Internal Users. Step 3Click Create. Step 4Add static IP attribute. Step 5Select Users and Identity Stores > Internal Identity Stores > Users. Step 6Click Create. Step 7Edit the static IP attribute of the user.
I just do it,but it's not work.When I use EasyVPN client to connect ASA 5520,user could success to authentication but will not get the static IP address which I configure on Internal Users,so the tunnel set up failed.I try to Configure a IP pool on ASA for ACS users get IP address,and use EasyVPN client to connect ASA , everything is OK,user authenticate successed.but when I kill IP pool coufigurations and use the "add a static IP address to user "configurations,EzVPN are failed. how to use ACS 5.2 to create a static ip address user for remote access VPN?
We have installed ACS 4.1 as authentication server for wireless SSID. Need to create list of ACS user expired on specific date.Is it possible to create report in ACS 4.1 as per user account expiry date?
We are running ACS 5.2 patch 6 and want to restrict access for users to be able to add devices to the system.For example, admin person in site A can only add devices into the site A group and cannot see/access other sites groups.
We are using ACS 5.2 and we are trying to create a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Identity Store. We have a user to be used in the Active Directory creation General page and we would like to know how the test communication / ACS to AD communication takes place.
Our user is a predefined user in AD and has admin rights, but the password expires every 60 days. Will this affect the communication between AD and ACS 5.2 at everytime the entered user's password expires?
I have an instance of ISE and NCS with a WLC 2100 plus a couple of LWAPs. This is an evaluation POC lab to sell ISE and NCS to our management to make our life easier.The problem I have amoungst many is I can create a guest user directly on the ISE and the guest can login, the ISE monitor shows the guest authenticates but the clients webpage passes them back to the login page not onto the original client url. The web auth is pointed at the ISE/guestportal/portal.jsp page.If I point the web auth at the internal WLC page using a WLC local user account it works.If I set the guest access to pass through it works without issues getting dhcp and dns. On the ISE is there a policy needed to say if guests are web authenticated give them access? The need is for AD authenticated users to be able tocreate guest users. The AD authentication works for sponsorship and guest creation its just the guest access redirection I am having issues with.
(WLC 4400) which enables employees to browse to a custom made webpage, where they can create an account for company vistors to access the internet. It's important for the employees not use any login credentials, they arrive on a webpage where they specify the login & password which the vistor will enter to browse the internet. Is there any good link to documention about this topic?
How can i create customized user in Cisco ASA 5505 having the following Privileges? note i dont have AAA server.User can only perform show running, ping, traceroute, show xlate. I have review one of the firewall configuration and found two type of password defined, what is the difference b/w enable and password?

I am just wondering if it is possible to have two user accounts in Cisco RV042 V3 (Firmware: v4.1.1.01-sp (Dec 6 2011 20:03:18). User accounts to mean that one user can access the router with an administrative level access can do all the changes and management of the router's configurations and settings while another user can only do viewing of the system summary tab and connect and manage the simple configuration to connection to the ISP in both WANs, like setting up the connection type and release/renew the ip address for dynamic ip assigned by the ISP DHCP server.
We are planning to setup a new WLAN using Cisco 2504 WLAN Controller and 1142N Access Point.Is it possible to create individual user accounts for the users those who all are connecting to this WLAN Network by using the 2504 WLAN Controller ?
Time Warner used remote access to get into my wrt54g system and create a new user id/password for security. As a result, my hp printer will no longer communicate with my computer. I've never had a router or network in my place and I've just bought a DIR-825. I previously had a DIR-615? but returned it because I was having this problem. Now I'm still having it with the 825.When I use IE or Mozilla Firefox(preferred) I can usually navigate 2-3 pages before the program stalls and goes (Not Responding) for about 15-20 seconds before it starts going again. Then it repeats again in about another 3-4 pages or so.

in permenantly removing the "private browsing" option in the new Mozilla FireFox internet. I use Windows Vista for home computer and obviously Mozilla FireFox for internet usage. I am not good with too many computer terms, the more basic the better. I've seen other places discuss how to remove it completely, have it not be an option, from Internet Explorer but not Mozilla. I have children in the home that I don't want to have access to it. Just easier for our situation to not have it.
My computer connects to my institute LAN.They provided us a configuration according which I configured TCP/IP v4 settings and firefox settings.All the webpages open smoothly but other internet realted services apart from firefox are not working eg Skype,Windows Update,Mu Torrent etc.The LAN connection says "No Internet access"(The sites are opening nicely though) and puts a yellow exclamation marks on the LAN symbol in system tray.
I'm at the point of setting up admin access for engineers needing to have insight into the operations and status of our ACS 5.3 systems. any way to create a Dashboard that can be applied to all admin user accounts? (perhaps a custom role?)I've been able to customize the dashboard for my own account to show what is most relevant, but am unable to figure out how to apply this layout and setup to all other users.
Basically, I have a number of folks that need to see this data, but that I can't exactly count on to setup their own dashboards to show the important details. If there were some way to build a tab/dashboard/portlet, etc (whatver it may be) and have it apply to all users, that would save me TONS of work so that I don't have to login to each person's account and set things up for them.For example, I want to have all users see a tab/dashboard that shows the applet "Live Authentications", but with the protocol already configured to display TACACS vs the default which is RADIUS.
My internet connection has suddenly turned really slow and pingtest.net tells me I have severe packet loss, which makes sense as nothing will stream or load properly. I'm running Mozilla Firefox (newest version) and have tried all the usual diagnostics and resetting everything?
I have a fresh install of an ACS 5.4 virtual appliance. This ACS instance will only be used for TACACS+ AAA for network device administration. It is up and running on the network. I have time, timezone, NTP and DNS configured. ACS admin accounts and logging are configured. I created an internal user, a network device, a network device group, an internal identity group, a shell profile, and command set. It is joined to the Enterprise Active directory domain, and a couple of AD groups have been selected for use in policies.The default network device is enabled and configured with a TACACS secret. I have a lab router configured and pointed at ACS and I can SSH to it with the ACS internal user.The problem is: I can’t create any rules for any policies. If I try to add a rule (or edit a default rule) to the “Service Selection Rules” or “Default Device Admin” or Identity, group mapping or authorization, all I get is a popup with the message “Resource not found or Internal Server error”. If I click “customize” anywhere I just get empty selection/transfer boxes. If I try to change to a single result policy from compound rules I get a “System failure – your changes were not saved” message. I have installed this twice now with the same results.This is my first experience with ACS. I’ve gotten through most of the configuration guide but I don’t know ACS well enough to know if I’m missing something incredibly obvious, or whether it’s just broken.
We are running two ACS appliances but we cannot figure out how we can add a user into 2 differents groups.Here's the context :We have a company A which is having devices, this company uses Group A.then we have a company B which is having devices, this company uses Group B.But the admin has to manage the devices for both companies A & B.We don't want to mix devices from company A with company B.Is there a way to add the user into both groups A & B.
when I click 'Create...' under Access Policies > Default Network Access > Authorization, and then press the 'OK' button, it says 'Please configure at least 1 condition.' However I have no way to configure conditions as the 'Conditions' text is just bold text and not a link or any sort of configurable area. If I go to 'Customize' on the bottom right and add conditions to the right list box, I still have no options when I press Create. Also, the 'green light' next to Default Network Access is grey with a line through it. This is the most cryptic system I have ever used
We are using ACS 5.1 in our network. We have created users and grouped them as per the requirements. We want to restrict the user sessions in the network. A user should authenticate and able to access a network resource. But when he is active with that session, we need to block him from another successful authentication. We want to avoid multiple users using same user credentials for logging into the devices. whether this can be achieved by making configuration changes in ACS.
I have ACS 5.1.I have created the Identity Group 'Admin' and added 2 users in that, say User1 and User2.How do I permit only User1 to get authenticated when he logins in to the device?There is option to select 'UserName' while creating Service Access Policy , but I have observed that though I have mentioned only User1 in the rule, User2 is also getting permitted
On the ACS ver5, there is a "User Change Password" feature. When i click the UCP WSDL, it gives me a page with WSDL language. how is it supposed to be installed? does it copy or install to any web server
My company's security group uses Tripwire to monitor for changes in start-config and running-config on network devices in PCI scope. We are migrating from ACS v4.2 to v5.2. I need to create the account for Tripwire on the ACS Appliance but did not want to assign the admin role which would give access to configure terminal. The user role does not have privileges for show start-config or show running-config. Am I missing something or are these the only 2 roles available at the CLI? Can another rolle be added?
I want to have a local user in ACS that is permitted to login to routers. I have TACACS with AD already working but cannot get a local user to work. I used to do this in ACS 4.x.I created a user in the internal identity store.I tried configuring a policy to allow this users TACACS authentication multiple ways to no avail. I cannot find a config example doc and cannot figure it out from the user guide as the documention is sorely lacking.
