Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 - Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage Randomly
Mar 20, 2013
We have a ACE 4710 with a basic config, When clicking on a tab from a window within Interent explorer we occasionally get an issue with it returning: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" The details show "Access is denied" accessing a particular line of a java script file.
We have put one web server out of service in the farm to make sure that this isn't a result of stickyness not quite working. We have tested extensively by going directly to the web server directly without the load balancer and cannot reproduce the problem but we can produce the issue within a few minutes when going to the load balanced address. [code]
I am getting the error message "internet explorer cannot display the webpage", my computer tells me i am connected to my wireless and that internet is available but it will not open any webpages, no matter which browser i try. I have disabled all firewalls and run diagnostics but it just tells me there is a problem with my router, despite the connection being perfect for other devices. My computer is relatively new and i'm sure its not a virus as i have run different anti-virus and malware softwares.
I cannot access one particular website - one that I regularly use. I have checked with other users - they can access the site.
This has been going on now for about 2-3 weeks and evertime I try to access the site I get the following message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
I have a lap plug into a wired connection and it has stop working, i have ran the windows fix program which didn't work, i plugged a different lap top into the wire and that works fine!
I connected to a hotspot that is available for Me to connect to. I connected to one, then I went to the little bars to make sure it's actually connected, It says "Internet Access" (Windows 7) Which means it's connected. Then I clicked on Internet Explorer, to go on the Internet, and It says.. "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Then I clicked on "Diagnose Connection problem" It started to detect the problem.. When it was finished it said.. "Website (Yahoo!) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts."
I went to Tools, Internet Options, LAN Settings, and I checked the First two boxes. Where it says "Address" I put in [URL]then I went back, and went on the Internet but It still says ---"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Then I went back to Tools, Internet Options, and took off [URL]then tried again, then I went back to the Internet but it still said the same thing saying-----"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Then I clicked on "Diagnose Connection problem" and it ---started detecting the problem.. and when it was finished detecting it said...---"Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings."
You only want "Automatically detect settings" checked. The second check box if for a configuration script or the like to setup IE settings. That is really only used by company's that want specific home pages and other settings set to match their networks. If anything is checking in the "Proxy Server" area, I would uncheck it as you won't go through a proxy since you are connecting to a hotspot. It is pretty rare for public locations to use proxy servers.I connected to a hotspot that is available for Me to connect to. I connected to one, then I went to the little bars to make sure it's actually connected, It says "Internet Access" (Windows7) Which means it's connected.
Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage ?I'm already logged into certain websites but most of the time or in fact all the time today I'm kicked off and I receive an error "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage."
I am using CISCO ASA 5505. Client PC with Windows XP can use IE to make the VPN connection normally. However, client PC with Windows 7 cannot use IE to make the VPN connection. It just show the error of "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
I had some viruses/malware that I was able to kill using skill.com freeware. Ever since, I have had no internet conectivity although signal is excellent. [code]
I installed a new Media link MWN-WAPR150N router and I can connect two laptops and an i Pad wireless but when I try to access the Internet through a Dell Dimension 4550 desktop which is directly connected to the router, I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." I have tried unplugging the cable modem and router, downloading network drivers, repairing the connection, ip config /release and /renew, etc. and nothing has worked. The connection status shows as connected. I can ping the router successfully, but I can't ping a web site.
I suddenly can't connect to the internet using IE or Firefox every time I try I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". My connection on my wireless picks up great and shows signal strength as excellent. I took it to a place that was offering free check ups and they said that I caught a virus which I never seen any sign of catching a virus when it worked and that it had wiped out one of my hard drives and they could fix it for $229.00. I don't have that kind of money so I don't know what to do.
Experienced the same sort of behaviour with an ACE 4710 version A3 (2.5). When trying to connect to a webpage on port 443, the pages over 1 minute to download fully. I have timed the download using the plug-in firefox. What is strange is that the browser successfully makes the connection, 200OK etc, but each 'get' takes a very long time to transfer. If I go directly to the server and don't pass via the ACE the page takes between .7 and 1 second to transfer. Is there a way to speed this transfer up, I am currently looking at connection maps.
I received a new hp laptop from a friend with a cisco linksys e1000 router. The first time I hooked it up it got online and worked great. I downloaded some updates for windows and restated the laptop for them to take effect and now it won't get back online for anything. I even restored the computer to the previous settings. All I get is the error message "Internet Explorer can not display the web page. I am running windows 7 ultimate.
I'm trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 in order to set up a password. When I type it in, I receive a message, Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage. Why can I not connect?
I have a sony vaio VGN-NW20EF running windows 7, It use to work fine but now I can't access the internet wirelessly. It detects and connects to networks wirelessly and it even says I have internet access but the msg cannot display the webpage keeps coming.
It works fine with the ethernet cable. It works fine wirelessly if I use my mobile phone as a hotspot as it's a HTC HD 2 and works as a router on the go, through the phone's internet. I've restored the computer to the earliest date available and no luck.
There are 2 laptops (Windows XP and Windows Vista), 3 iPhones and a PS3 in my house which all run on WiFi (Linksys) and normally do so without any problems. Well, yesterday I woke up to find that when I looked at my connection status all of these were showing that they had 100% Internet connection but none of them will actually connect. My phone only tells me that it has no connection when I try and open Safari or any other app that uses Internet and my computer says that it Cannot Display Webpage.I have had this problem about 3 1/2 months ago and was able to have it fixed over by calling my Internet service provider and the Linksys customer support.
I have netbook with win xp It is connected wirelessly to modem the internet was working until we upgraded the modem , now i see on the netbook that it is connected to internet but when i open internet page it dispays server not found I tried the answers posted to repair ip or winsock but it didn't work
I have a network with a 2003 windows server and around 60 XP computers. I also have 2 different gateways. I am trying to access a webpage "eparts.rmpparts.com". When I enter the address it comes up to the page that says "IE cannot display the webpage".I have treid and both gateways and same result. I am also not able to ping the address from the PC within my LAN.I then went to a different network "not within my LAN" and I am able to access the site without any problem. I have accessed it from my phone also without any problems.I have tried to get to this page from the server and also around 5 other computers within the LAN and the same problem each time.I have security settings very low and also the firewalls are off. I tried on a computer that is connected to my LAN with no luck. I then disconnected that same computer and connected it to a different modem not within the LAN and had no prob getting to the site with the same PC.So I know it must have something to do with my LAN but I have no idea what it could be. I have tried everything I can think of and same result each time.
I have a 1240Ag. Earlier I loaded a startup config from a backup. The AP came back up - I can SSH into it, but when I try to access the web management page it says "IE cannot load the webpage".
For the last two weeks or so I keep getting kicked out of websites I have went to on more than one occasion. IE just says cannot display webpage and firefox keeps saying connection timed out. I have been researching this issue through other forms. Here is what I have tried so far to fix this issueReset all cookies, history, etc Renewd IP System Restore I am not running off any proxys Did a full compuer scan and removed all threats/virus' Reset SSL's Uninstalled Windows IE and Firefox and reinstalled Unplugged Router Put cookies/firewall settings to minimun or none and tried to access websitesThere is no specific trend towards the webstites I go to, that I can see at least. One is my bank account and another is a clothing store, little things like that here and there. I can't get on any mozilla websites for tech so I have been googling it through my Android. I even did a diagnostic through windows on a specific website and it said that everything checked out and that it was a web site issue, which I find hard to believe since I can access it through my phone
I got new internet installed in my apartment, intending to use the same WAP as I did on the old network. The only thing that changed from the old network to the new is the cable modem, which is identical to the old one. Currently, the WAP does not connect to the internet, although I can connect through an ethernet cable to the modem itself. My theory is that the modem is set to a static gateway, while the WAP is not. To try to fix this, I attempted to access the default gateway at 192.168.2.1. Of course, I couldn't remember the stupid password, so I tried different passwords with no results.
Now when I try to access the same IP, it loads for a few minutes, then says 'cannot display the webpage' and gives an option to diagnose connection problems. I know the internet still works, because I can go to any other page I choose. Diagnosis produces the following: 'Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (192.168.2.1) is not responding' (no error code given). Maybe this is a stupid question, but was there a limit to the number of times I could try a password? Additionally, I can't get to 192.168.2.1 on a different computer, on a different network, either. When I try the ipconfig command, the default gateway line comes up blank.
We have a NETGEAR router that we have been using for at least a year now which has not given us any problem. I bought a new laptop yesterday and created a new network on it to establish internet connection for it. Now however, the internet is not working on another laptop or the XBOX 360. The older laptop even says it's connected but the the brower pops up, it just says cannot display webpage. I feel like I've tried every strategy that I know of and it still doesn't work.
I have installed my E3200 downstream from the Verizon FiOS Actiontec (going the other way disables FiOS functions). 1. My browser can get to the E3200 (192.168.1.2) when connected via wireless, but not when connected via ethernet cable. 2. When going to connect wirelessly, the 2GHz connection is visible but the 5 GHz connection is not (I have them named differently). How do I see both wireless connections?
I'm looking for a way to configure Cisco ACE4710 loadbalancer to bypass traffic that is initiated from server side to Internet? Are there any way to configure this, so that the loadbalancer will not maintain session for this bypass traffic to maximize throughput?
Physically, it's like this. The RED line denotes a boundary, and pretty much anything North of that is not accessible to us, we simply have a L3 trunk between our switches and "their" switches (S3/S4) and talk using EIGRP.
There are other servers in the top tier, some that also require load balancing, some that don’t. Typically, I want to load balance HTTPS requests from the internet, to one of the 3 servers in the top half.
I’m not sure what mode to select, routed, one arm? What about placement of the ACE? At the moment, I’ve just configured 1/1 on it and made it part of the MG MT VLAN, it's S VI exists on the S1/S2 switches, so I’m open to change as it's still all in the lab.
Report run via Individual Web server URL’sThe report takes less than 20 minutes (average 15 minutes) to fetch and return the data. This is observed 9 out of 10 times.Report run via ACE Load Balanced URLThe report keeps on running for more than 20 minutes and never completes. The front end keeps showing report is running. The data in general when tested directly by running queries against the database (bypassing the platform) completes in 15-18 minutesThe network connectivity for each and every ports involved (Loadbalancer/Servers) have been throulgly checked.
I have done this in the past but I cannot find it anywhere......how do you display the uptime of a CSM module in a 6500? The chassis has an uptime of over 2 years, but I believe the CSM module was power cycled at some point within that 2 years and I need to find out if we may be running in to the bug that occurs after 828days of uptime. We are running 4.2(6) on the CSM and 12.2(18)SXF1 IOS on the SUP.
i'm looking for a recommendation for a setup guide including ft i've had a quick look a wiki and i can get basics but i'm not sure about if i need to setup additional contexts etc when i'm the only one using the appliance?
I have an issue with a customer that wants to update a server behind the ACE. The problem is that when the application wants to update the server it does it with the name.Doing some research I found that you can rewrite the record DNS based on the static NAT you set up on the ACE. The feature is called DNS inspection. Is the same feature as the ASA (DNS doctoring).I apply it to the outside interface and it did not work.
I am trying to configure sticky on an ACE 4710 and don't understand what the netmask part of the sticky ip-netmask netmask address {source | destination | both } name command.
Some examples use 255.255.255.255 and others use 255.255.255.0 but I don't know what the significance is or what it does?
I am going to configure for both source IP and destination IP (both).
With the current (A5) ACE 4710 lic setup, does the "X gigabit per second appliance throughput" that is licensed affect: -
A) Only "appliance" i.e. load balancing traffic, any other normal routed traffic is not included in the limit
or
B) Is it an overall throughput limit on the interfaces i.e. includes all traffic not only load balancing traffic but also normal routed traffic crossing the appliance
Looking at a scenario where the lic size I need for HTTP load balanacing would be one size if A) but would need to be much larger is B) to accomodate out of hours routed backup traffic crossing the ACE 4710
