I've checked the release notes for 5.3.0.40.5 and there are some changes/fixes for AD but nothing I can see to explain the behaviour above. I'm looking to upgrade to 5.3.0.40.5 soon but I really need the Alternate UPN suffixes to work.mydomain.com is the AD domain namean Alternate UPN suffix of another.com has been added to AD
A valid AD user can add either the @mydomain.com or the @another.com suffixes to their username and login successfully. This works fine with 5.3.0.40.2 but changes when I upgrade to 5.3.0.40.5 - users who use the @mydomain.com login ok but users using the Alternate UPN @another.com fail with the error: [code]
I just recently got the internet and I have a desktop computer that has ever rarely been used and it has never had the internet on it. I called tech support of my ISP to see what many be the problem why I can't connect to the internet and found that the source of the problem was I do not have a LAN network connection. When I open Network Connections on the computer, nothing is there. I also went to device manager and there is nothing there for Networking. Under category of "Other Devices" in Device Manager there is a question mark next to "Ethernet Controller". Are there drivers or something I need download to fix this so I can connect to the internet via a DSL connection.
My computer specs are:
Windows XP Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

My Ethernet is not showing up in device manager or Network Connections. I've checked the bios and it is enabled. I've also tried to install the drivers, but at the end of the install this error message pops up " the Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable"

I know I have to disable the onboard nic but the installed card is not comming up either in Device manager or network connections. What gives? In the bios under integrated peripherals i did enable PnP OS.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an alcatel 6850 switch connected to a 3750. Two connections (cables) are used between the switches. The two connections from the alcatel are in different vlans 10 and 60 , but the cisco ones are in the same vlan ie 1 (I know not best practice but keep with it ). The cisco cables are connected into port 1 and 4. Port 1 is forwarding and 4 is blocking. The 3750 is configured with basic default pvst configuration.The alcatel is the root bridge. As can be realised traffic from alcatel on vlan 10 cannot pass traffic to the 3750, This was established by the spt seeing the same mac from the root bridge therefore blocking port 4.To stop this from blocking in this scenario I was going to use bpdufilter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have an AP541N that has been deployed to replace a Cisco 1200 AP (B/G radio). The 1200 functioned perfectly in our environment. The new AP541N on the other hand seems to work fine right after a reboot but immediately starts to degrade service. Over a short period of time, the devices bandwidth degrades to the point were the wireless network is not usable. This happens with just one device connected. Eventually, the device stops accepting client connections. We are unable to get any relevant logging out of the device to diagnose the problem.

The original ISP i.e ISP 1 has given us a Vlan and we have configured a default route into the FWSM to go through it. DS3 - 45/45 I would like to use this circuit for all of our servers to NAT out of as well as our VPN tunnel to our remote site. It will be much more reliable than our cable line.
Cable Internet - 50/10 I would like to use this for all internet traffic that users generate. I would like to be able to fail over to the DS3 if this line goes down.
To get all traffic go out the cable line would take a dynamic NAT rule and a default route. How would I automate a failover to the DS3 with a backup route and dynamic NAT rule?
I understand that if the DS3 goes down it will take manual intervention to bring the tunnel back up and servers with static NAT will need reconfiguration.
