One of the connections is an ADSL and the other 2 are leased lines so they terminate with an RJ45 connection.
Would something like a Cisco 2911 + HWIC ADSL card be sufficient enough or would you recommend something else?

My idea was to give the MAC adress of another router(that i can control), plug the LAN cable in the WAN of the second router, and then connect more computers to that router. Would that enable Internet acces for all the computers behind the 2 router?would it work if i make one computer with an extra network card, register that computers MAC adress and forward internet by the second network card to a router or other computer?

DS3 - 45/45 I would like to use this circuit for all of our servers to NAT out of as well as our VPN tunnel to our remote site. It will be much more reliable than our cable line.
Cable Internet - 50/10 I would like to use this for all internet traffic that users generate. I would like to be able to fail over to the DS3 if this line goes down.
To get all traffic go out the cable line would take a dynamic NAT rule and a default route. How would I automate a failover to the DS3 with a backup route and dynamic NAT rule?
I understand that if the DS3 goes down it will take manual intervention to bring the tunnel back up and servers with static NAT will need reconfiguration.

The Cisco will have 5 gig ports, 4 ports connected to DSL modems each modem connected to a different ISP, and the last port connected to a Cisco LAN switch.
802.1q will be used on the internal router port to split the LAN segments up into VLAN's as the building contains lots of different businesses.
Each customer in the building has there own servers and set of public IP addresses assigned e.g
Customer A - ISP 1 uses 81.34.65.78 NAT'd to 10.0.0.1 Vlan 5 port 25 (SMTP)
Customer B - ISP 2 uses 217.23.67.87 NAT'd to 192.168.1.1 Vlan 6 port 25 (SMTP)
and so on
The outbound traffic also needs to go out of the correct DSL line which ever has been assigned to that customer.
Am i right in thinking the only way to do this will be to use "Route Maps" ??

I have a primary internet connection which is broadband and the secondary connection as a Reliance data card in my laptop. I have noticed that which ever connection,connects the last, becomes the primary connection and if the primary ever goes out, the second connection takes over and gives me continuous connectivity.Is it possible to configure and specify which connection I want to be primary regardless of which connection connects last etc?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor over a month I am trying to find a way that makes me able to use two internet connections at the same time, and assign certain programs to one connection. This is because me and my brother do game on the ADSL cause of the low latency of it, when one of us do surf the whole connection lags. I do have 2 internet connections at home, one is ADSL(1.5MB Connection) and one is WiMAX(10MB Connection). Both of these routers/modems are connected to the same network. I want to use the ADSL for gaming(light usage) and the WiMAX one for browsing and downloading(heavy usage).
I came up with three ways:
1) ForceBindIP - (1) (2) - Didn't work for me with Windows 7 64bit on Firefox 12.0
2) Using VMWare - Which I do not want to.
3) Using Astaro Security Gateway Home Edition - Which is a bit complicated and I have to run a dedicated PC for it with special setup in order to make it work (Live Demo)
