I have a 2911 router where I was configuring the device to allow remote desktops connections. Everything is working properly, but for some reason my ACL has disappeared.
View 5 RepliesI have 2 2911 routers that will be connected via fiber with an ethernet Gig handoff to each router. Each router will then be connected to local networks on a second ethernet interface on the router. I have always connected routers via serial connections so this is new to me. Outside of the usual ethernet interface addressing configuration, is there anything else that would need to be configured on the 2 routers?

It seems the difference between using my computer and the 2911 is that with my computer I am able to set the default gateway as the end node's ip.

I have a Linksys WRT120N with two desktops connected via wired connections.In the house, there are two students accessing the Internet through WiFi via the WRT120N.One of the laptops (on an Apple laptop) seems to lose its' connection from time to time.The other laptop (Lenovo) is located the furthest distance from the router and only gets two bars signal strength.Would my best option to improve the signal strength for the Lenovo laptop and hopefully, also increase reliability for the Apple laptop be to purchase a new router such as a Linksys E1500 with speed boost or would it be best to try a Linksys range extender (RE1000)?

I had found a document that I thought would take me through the configuration but it doesn't appear that the command syntax is the same on the 2911's as it is in the document. I have configured Priority Queueing in my Cisco 2911 Router. I have set queue list high, medium, normal and Low. But when I put show interface gi0/2, it is showing the queueing strategy is priority queueing but it is not showing the (size/max/drops) values.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are having 3 internet connections coming in to one of our customer's main offices for redundancy and etc. I would like to replace the 3 routers with a one for easier support and management. One of the connections is an ADSL and the other 2 are leased lines so they terminate with an RJ45 connection.
Would something like a Cisco 2911 + HWIC ADSL card be sufficient enough or would you recommend something else?
We are about to install a cisco 2911 router to replace a linux based router.
The Cisco will have 5 gig ports, 4 ports connected to DSL modems each modem connected to a different ISP, and the last port connected to a Cisco LAN switch.
802.1q will be used on the internal router port to split the LAN segments up into VLAN's as the building contains lots of different businesses.
Each customer in the building has there own servers and set of public IP addresses assigned e.g
Customer A - ISP 1 uses 81.34.65.78 NAT'd to 10.0.0.1 Vlan 5 port 25 (SMTP)
Customer B - ISP 2 uses 217.23.67.87 NAT'd to 192.168.1.1 Vlan 6 port 25 (SMTP)
and so on
The outbound traffic also needs to go out of the correct DSL line which ever has been assigned to that customer.
Am i right in thinking the only way to do this will be to use "Route Maps" ??

I am trying to configure a shdsl port on a 2911 router for CO mode of operation.The dsl-group auto command does not seem to change the port to operate in CO mode and the link will not come up to a remote router that has a card installed operating in CPE mode.The configuration I have applied for the shdsl controller is.

I am using Cisco 2911 & IOS version is 15.1. My problem is that after some days (e.g. 15-20 days), the routing table suddenly stops updating & then I have to enter the default route again to make it up. I am using Track 1 to track default route here. After primary link goes down, the Track is also going down but after coming the primary link up, the track is not coming up. So, I have to add the default route again to make it up.

I'm trying to set up ip sla for vrrp tracking but the commands seem gimped? I don't even have an option for ip sla <operation number>. All I've got is ip sla responder/server/key-chain.
we are in the planning phase for a network upgrade. We have two C2960 Switches connected via one (L2) Etherchannel (4x1 Gbit/s) which works very well. In the next phase we would like to upgrade our router to an 2911 series which has 3 gb interfaces. and indeed we would like to create an etherchannel as well. our plan is to use 2 of the 2911 to connect to the first 2960 switch and the one left to the other 2960. i think we will achieve some redundancy with this config.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure intervlan routing between a cisco 2801 router and HP/Amer switches. Using int fa0/1 and subinterfaces I was sure I had it configured correctly, but I cannot ping the default gateways when I place a host in a particular vlan. Below is what I have configured.
HP switch - port 9 connects to fa0/1 on 2801
ip default-gateway 10.1.100.1
trunk 9 Trk1 trunk
trunk 10 Trk2 trunk - to another switch

After trying to configure remote client VPN access to a Cisco 2911 ISR using the CLI I tried to use the Cisco Configuration Professional. However, either way I have the same problem. A client can successfully connect and access servers but just once. When the client disconnects and tries to connect again there is no access to the servers even though the VPN tunnel appears to be up. I've tried multiple versions of the Cisco vpn client SW and all behave the same: 1st connection can access servers, subsequent connections can't. I've also tried a second (different) client after the original connection and still no luck. If I reload the router the client can get the vpn connection and access the servers but if the client disconnects from the vpn and tries again there is no access to the servers.
I've also tried it with and without NAT but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
The config generated using CCP is as follows:

When i connect to switch router 3945 and switch 3750, router 2911 on Cisco view then I receive "cannot find applicable device package for 10.1.241.10". Need to reinstall device package. The version of Cisco work LMS is 3.2. I check Active log and receive message .

1. how can i use 1 line as an active and other line as a failover(when 1 line is down other line should automatically bear the traffic).clear config will be useful. NATTING using MAtch address objects( roughly )
broadband service provider 1: 97.89.X.X 255.255.252.0
broadband service provider 2: 10.0.x.x 255.255.240.0
2. there are only 20 users to set up a voip line now. here we have telecom provider where they should route the traffic to make any international calls( say telecom public ip 200.200.109.110)from lan - wan everything is allowed from wan -lan we have to allow only telcom provider IP(200.200.109.110)
Need to confirm about 2911 isr, what interface numbers are given to a 9esw when placed in the far left hwic slots (hwic slot 2+3).
I need to build some configs but its going to be a few more weeks before the kit arrives.
I would like to ask if how can we determine by mear physical inspection if the power supply of a CISCO2911/K9 router is AC, POE or DC? Do we have images of the actual spare power supply?
