Cisco Firewall :: ASA 5510 Running Out Of 1550 Byte Blocks

I am having trouble with our ASA5510. After upgrading the internal memory from 256 MB to 1 GB and upgrading the firmware to 8.4.2 we are experiencing that the ASA is running out of 1550 byte blocks. When that happens it is not possible to connect to the ASA by ADSM or SSH and new VPN IPSEC tunnels are not coming up. The only way I know how to fix this is to reload the ASA. This is happening every 2 to 3 days.
In the free blocks graph one can see that there is a loss of about 20 blocks per 10 minutes.

I have an ASA that is logging the message %ASA-3-321007: system is low on free memory blocks of size 2048. I ran the "show blocks" command and the "Cnt" value for the 2048 blocks is 0. How do I reclaim these blocks and what are they used for?

I have an ASA5510 running version 8.4. ICMP is blocked from the internet to the outside interface of our firewall but now our ISP is requesting us to allow ICMP from their network to the outside of our ASA. I need to allow ICMP from three blocks of IP Addresses?

I have installed a new ASA5510 with CSC, and everything is working properly except the access to websites using https. All sites/access to them seem to be blocked by the ASA. I have read that this access is by default enabled and I have tried to add configuration to allow https access to the firewall but without success. [code]

I have an ASA 5510 in a live environment. Up til a short while ago I could access this via the ASDM and ssh. However I can no longer connect to it via eithier. When I access It via SSH I get a disclaimer saying the following
*** You have entered a restricted zone! Authorized access only!!! Disconnect immediately if you are not authorized user! ***
It then cuts me off.
When I try to access the ASDM I get the following
The firewall is running all its services without a problem and I can ping the device without any issues. Also none of the config (to my knpowledge has been changed). I set up a console session and http server enable is still there with

I have a cisco asa 5520 version 8.2.
I found big problem with ping. I can't ping any internet ip with packet size bigger than 990.
I checked runing again. I see config every thing fine. I can't ping bigger than 990 byte.

I have CISCO 5510 firewall running with IOS ASA821-k8.bin.My company has purchased another ASA5510 with IOS ASA843-k8.bin.We need to run both firewalls in Active/Standby mode.
If I upgrade the IOS of old firewall to ASA843-k8.bin the the running configurations does not work properly.It does not pick the network objects and NAT rules as they are configured with OLD IOS and running.
Or if I restore the configurations of old firewall at New ASA the result is worst. Even firewall with new IOS does not show any Access Rule and NAT rule and does not supprt network objects.

We just changed over to Comcast Business and after changing the outside interface to new IP and setting static route. I have access to internet and everythig appears to be good, However asdm will never fully load, alway stuck at 17% or 77%, and I always see "parsing running config".
When I do a show run it will not fully load either, always stop at certain out put. 5 seconds after pulling the Comcast cable out both asdm and running config will load fine.

I have allways configured and run LDAP Server Groups authenticating to Active Directory Domain Controllers using LDAP, never an issue, until I hit a Domain Controller running on a Windows Server 2008. I have been unable to authenticate with the common setting with an ASA5510 running 8.0.1.

I have a new ASA 5510 running 8.3(1) and ASDM 6.4(5)
I am trying to use the real time log viewer to troubleshoot some access issues, but I am getting delays of up to 30 seconds or more between my client connecting to the ASA and the corresponding events showing in the RT Log viewer. I am using a simple filter for source IP as it's quite a busy device.
I've seen an article that says to turn off certain logging IDs (such as 304001 from memory) which I have done, but no different.

I have an ASA 5510 running 8.4(2) which has a site to site IPSec VPN to a 3rd party who run some form of Checkpoint. The VPN establishes and allows access to a server in our DMZ on all ports that we have tested (so far HTTP, SSL, RDP, FTP) except for SQL which doesn't even seem to reach the server. I've got Wireshark running on the DMZ server and if the 3rd party initiates a TCP conversation from their server on any of the working ports to the server I see all of the expected packets arrive with the correct IPs etc (no NAT takes place across the VPN) but when an ODBC client attempts to query the SQL server on our DMZ box the packets do not arrive at the server. What I can see is the RX byte count on the VPN increasing each time the query is run but definitely no SQL arriving at the server.
Also if I revert the ASA back to the old PIX it has replaced with the same VPN config but on version 7.x then it works just fine.

Currently I have an asa 5510 set up with one block of outside IP addresses. Everything is working fine in regards to my initial setup. However we needed to purchase additional IPs from our provider and ended up being a whole complete different block. Where I am getting stuck is getting the new IPs to NAT to inside addresses.

I need to replace an existing ASA 5540 with a new ASA 5525X. I would like to pre-stage and configure the new box with the existing config, migrate license and export certificate files before swapping it with the old one during a change window. The new firewall will run 9.1 on deployment. Now the same 7.2(4) cannot just be copied over to 5525X running the minimum 8.6 version. There is a Web based tool available at [URL] according to Cisco documentation but the page does not load for me (Cisco intranet only tool ?). Is there another tool for automatic conversion ?

We have 2 IP blocks from my ISP. We have been using just one a /30 block with one IP address used on the outside interface of the device. The new block is a /29 range and I would need to use just two of those IP addresses. Here is the situation I am facing.A company we partnered with wants to set up a VPN, they will send us 2 Cisco 861s to put behind our ASA. Is it possible to assign these 861's with public IPs from the block that we are not currently using? (the /29 range)? I know that it might require an upgrade to the Security Plus.

I am trying to get up to speed on this topic as quickly as possible.
Here is my issue:
1) We are able to access the webiste
2) We are able to upload data packets
3) We allow the website to time out while we are uploading data packets
4) When we attempt to re-access the website the ip is blocked a) this includes pinging and trace
5) After an undertermined period of time the ip is unblocked and we are allowed to access it again.
The ASA 5505 router is the last forward facing stop before entering the VPN tunnel. We have tested by circumventing the ASA and we are unable to duplicate the disconnect. We have reviewed the config file and have not been able to identify what rule/settings could be affecting this.
when tracing port usage, the actions use 2 tcp ports and 1 udp port, the 2 tcp ports open and close by each transaction, when the ip block occures the 2 tcp ports are "dead" the udp port remains open (appearhently sending the remainder of the data packets)

I tried to create an ACL for IPv6. But the acl always drops my packetes. Only in case I allow an Permit Icmp6 any any statement. It works.
With detailed IPv6 entries. I have got drops.

i cannot send emails to outside, i have an access rule on interface inside permit source: inside destination: any servic: tcp/smtp and when i make paket tracer it shows me that the packet is dropped but i cant see through which rule!!

I have a Cisco RV042 Wired Router. I've got a static IP and a MS Small Business Server in my Router Network. I have forwarded the essential ports to use the IIS and the Exchange Server of my SBS2011 (https, http, smtp, rpc).
I can use the IIS, if the firewall is activated, but the exchange Server can not receive any emails. I have also created some firewall access rules for the mentioned services but without success.

I have Dell Vostro 1550 Laptop.Os- window 7 ,32 bit.Earlier I had window 7,64 bit on my laptop ,when I install 32 bit window on it after a clean format, Everything work perfectly except the bluetooth.I tried several bluetooth drivers but none of them fix my problem.I received an error while installing the bluetooth driver that the" system has been modified can't install the driver".when I tried another driver then it says please activate bluetooth first ,when I did so by pressing the function keys then a message appears on the screen saying "starting bluetooth" after few minutes the msg disappears and nothing happens,it doesn't start the bluetooth.

I've been trying to change the Parental Controls on my Linksys 1550 router, but I can't get Cisco Connect to finish startup, I keep getting an "unexpected Error". I have an ASA 5510 running ASDM 6.4(9) and Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.4(4)1.I am trying to configure for the first time and I am accessing the ASA via its Management Interface.I am successfully able to connect to the device and get to the Cisco ASDM 6.4(9) page.When I try to run the startup wizard, a couple of prompts displays up to the point where the java applet runs and aks me to enter my IP, username and password.As it is a new system, password and username is blank so I enter and I get a message saying "loading software from cache" which later changes to "software Update completed" and then nothing happens.I am running MacOSX 10.7 Lion, Java version 1.6.0_33.I did try and run this on a Windows system and i was able to load the interface.
