got this problem within the last few days
UPnP renew entry 255.255.255.255 <-> 68.98.71.182:61041 <-> 192.168.0.197:61041 UDP timeout:-1 'Teredo' (this one repeated 13 times just in that 1 info slot)
Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.197 to 109.185.100.195
Blocked incoming TCP packet from 108.170.42.83:80 to 68.98.71.182:36792 as SYN:ACK received but there is no active connection
this goes on for a multiple of different ip's and i believe its due to the fact that the game i play is p2p
QoS is off spi is off udp and tcp endpoint independent firmware version 1.21 i am using wireless cable isp using motorola sb5101 i believe i port forwarded the ports used for the game but that didnt work so i put my computer into dmz. I've also noticed a lot more jitter then i used to have and my upload speed is down about 4mbps. Was thinking it might just be outdated firmware?

We've got a network consisting out of Cisco 3750 and 2960 units on which STP is enabled. We are trying to get a WAP200 working in this environment. Problem is that the WAP200 is sending out STP data every 2 seconds (checked with Wireshark) wich is causing mayhem on the network. The situation will not settle down to a stable situation.Question:Is there any way in which the STP traffic generated by the WAP200 can be disabled ?

I have a DIR-825 with 2.60VT firmware (rented from Videotron).
Even though the manual says the stateful firewall should have a timeout on connections of 240 seconds or 7800 seconds, all of my connections start at a mere 120 seconds. I'm having trouble with IMAP IDLE pushing e-mails because the connections timeout so quickly (before any stay alive can be sent). A connection to the e-mail server gets opened on 143 (Videotron) or 993 (encrypted - google, e.g.), and I see the connection on the Internet Sessions page, the timeout starts at 120. When it hits 0, the connection is no longer displayed (it is not renewed), and the IMAP IDLE ****s out because the server can't find the client (i.e. the connection has been closed). But it's not just on those ports or servers. ALL of my TCP sessions begin at a mere 120 seconds! Even for a home router, isn't this way too low?
confirm that their DIR-825, on the Internet Sessions page, shows initial timeout values of greater than 120 for a TCP connection? I would love to see a picture of that screen showing higher values. Does it start at 240? Do you ever see a connection start at a timeout of 7800?
I see no way of changing the timeout value. Is it possible to force connections on certain ports to begin at a higher timeout value?

I am using a Pix 515 with IOS 8.0(3).I have in my access list on the outside interface.......access-list outside_access_in extended permit icmp any 12.23.34.0 255.255.255.0 echo access-list outside_access_in extended permit icmp any 12.23.34.0 255.255.255.0 echo-reply.......in order to allow ping requests and ping replies into my inside network. This certainly works since I can ping the inside from outside and vice versa, but in the ASDM display of access rules, the hit count for these two lines is always zero. If I run 'show access-list', the hit count for these lines is non-zero.
Why doesn't the hit count show up in the ASDM gui display? Also, I have read that the PIX does not treat ICMP in the same way as TCP or UDP and there is no stateful behaviour towards ICMP. However, if I set up a continuous ping from outside to inside and then disable the above access list rule allowing echo requests towards the inside, the ping continues whereas I would expect it to stop.
In the config there is 'timeout icmp 00:00:02' if there is no stateful connection for ICMP, why is there a timeout value for it?

I am having trouble with our ASA5510. After upgrading the internal memory from 256 MB to 1 GB and upgrading the firmware to 8.4.2 we are experiencing that the ASA is running out of 1550 byte blocks. When that happens it is not possible to connect to the ASA by ADSM or SSH and new VPN IPSEC tunnels are not coming up. The only way I know how to fix this is to reload the ASA. This is happening every 2 to 3 days.
In the free blocks graph one can see that there is a loss of about 20 blocks per 10 minutes.

Our computer is sending but not receiving packets. We've tried 3 different wi-fi adapters, and that wasn't the problem. We have no idea what's wrong? It won't pick up any wireless signals by the way, and it works fine while connected via Ethernet.

I cannot seem to ping between devices on two networks hanging off a 5520 unless I use the same-security interface command. I have the relevant ACL's set up between the interfaces, but it just doesnt work unless I have that command in - if I use that command, it bypasses the ACL.

When I disconnect it from the wireless, then reconnect it, it immediately receives packets but won't send any.

The university I attend doesn't allow modems and routers, but me and my roommates desperately need wifi for our devices, otherwise they are being wasted sitting around. today I set up an ad hoc connection on my roommates laptop, but he brings his laptop places and when he's out, we have no wifi. I have my desktop computer, and I can leave it on all the time and I never leave with it, so I'd love to set up wifi on it, since it will be so much more convenient.
I brought my router from home, and ive gotten it to send out my computer's internet connection, but it brings me to the school's registration page, which I can not use, since routers are not allowed. Is there a way to use my desktop's ethernet connection and send out that internet connection through my router (it also needs to bypass the school network, somehow fooling it that my router is my computer (im guessing))? I have 2 ethernet jacks on my computer by the way.

I'm new to the Cisco WLCs and recently implemented a wireless infrastructure using a WLC 2100 with 1262 LWAPs. I have two of the 1262s plugged into ports 7/8 using crossover cables. They're functioning correctly with the exception of the inability SSH and send pings to the LWAPs behind the WLC. Is there anyway to ping/shh through the WLCs to the LWAPs behind it? I use an NMS (Nagios) to monitor the status of the LWAPs and it can't monitor them if it cannot ping them. Also, is there anyway to configure the WLC to monitor the status of LWAPs?

Have a very peculiar issue with IP SLA. Firstly, the architecture.
1) There are two sites - A & B. Both have their own internet connection.
2) Sites A & B are connected via MPLS.
3) Both sites have the below topology.
3750 CORE --> FIREWALL -->ROUTER ---> INTERNET
4) 3750 has a Default route pointing to firewall .
5) MPLS router is connected to 3750. A default information is originated via BGP to MPLS at each location. So that default route is learnt as a backup path from any location if it has to lose its local internet.
6) IP SLA has been configured at each location to track the default route using icmp-echo to hit a public IP (i.e 4.2.2.2 as an example).
Issue?ICMP probes from Site-A via its local internet fails abruptly. I can reach the public IP mentioned above from my firewall pretty fine, but not from my 3750. Whenever i remove the tracking from the static default route & push in the plain default route without tracking, it works fine. Again, if i add the tracking back, it will work fine for an hour or so & then fails back again. To my bad, Site-B had recently gone offline due to some natural calamity. So, there is no other path for internet.
My config looks pretty simple
track 10 ip sla 1 reachability
!
ip sla 1
icmp-echo 4.2.2.2 source-ip 10.1.254.1
frequency 180
ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
ip sla enable reaction-alerts
!
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.254.1 track 10
I am running IOS version 12.2(53)SE2 (IPservices images).

So I have my shiny new (used, but new to me) 5510 finally working and installed in my Dev network. I need to have icmp (ping and trace route) available from the inside network. I Google and found a few articles on how to do it. I tried modifying the class maps, but it looks like there are changes in the commands in 8.4 and the articles I found evidently were for 8.2 and lower. I tried doing it with access lists, again from examples and traffic stopped in all directions (not good) so I am back to being functional and how to do it in 8.4. Documentation seems sparse on the net with 8.4
