Is there a way or software can I use to send messages to all wirelessPCs in my network without doing any configurations or installation on those PC.I've used net send command for that, but is there another way?
The LMS 4.0.1 keeps sending ICMP messages to VLAN interfaces that have been removed months ago.these logs are filling up my log server [code] How do I update the poller to use the latest config information for the switch?
on ASA 5540 , i configured the logging setup as following :
log in to the internal buffer : buffer size 1048576 bytes
Then i save the buffer to FTP server to save the log messages in continuously way everything was working fine but suddenly sending the ftp traffic to FTP traffic has stopped suddenly before in the live log viewer it was showing when ASA throws the ftp traffic to the ftp server but this stopped suddenly nothing has changed in the ftp server setting (same username and password and the connectivity is there) sending logging traffic to the ftp server came back just when i reboot the ASA.but this is not solution.
i need to be able to find out what application/service is sending out net bios broadcasts on a network segment the requests are for machines that no longer are on the network but something is trying to obtain there ip address as they are not in dns any more i am assuming this is why they are resorting to netbios broadcasts i need to some how isolate what application or service is trying to find out.
I can't connect to the internet. When I double click Local Area Network under Network connections it says it has both sent and received packets. It is set to automatically acquire an ip address. The computer is connected to a router. I can ping 192.168.1.1 but when I try to reach my router's settings it says page can't be loaded. I tried to hook the computer up directly to the modem and connect that way. It said it was connected and it was sending packets but I still couldn't do anything. I've turned off the windows firewall. The computer is Windows XP SP1

For a customer I have configured a new ASA 5505 firewall with 8.42 software. I had to build 3 ipsec tunnels to different locations and firewalls. All tunnels are working except one. I have to translate the inside network 1 to 1 to a different private range before it is sent over the tunnel. Each host from network 192.168.133.0 /24 has to be translated to a 192.168.112.0 /24 host and then sent over the tunnel. (e.g. 192.168.133.22 translated to 192.168.112.22)
My customer is seeing these Errors coming up on one of his 2504 WLC's (ver7.3) The MAC's and IP addresses Mentioned seem to be completely fictitious as the customers IP plan is way off these subnets and the vendor lookup tool cant resolve the MAC addresses.I can confirm that there is no conflict.I've seen them appear on other 2504's across his network on seperate occasions.
i have an acer aspire 5315 and im running windows vista home basic, My wireless has had no issues at all until i came to oklahoma yesterday and my internet will not connect to my dads wireless, but at my moms it had no issue, and at the airport i connected to there wifi with no issues also, is there some kind of setting that gets changed when you connect to the internet in the airports that wouldnt allow you to get on your internet at home?
My desktop pc is currently wired into myowireless router and my laptop is fully wireless. How do I send data(pictures, music etc) from my laptop to my desktop & vice versa?
Replaced my DLink 655 (had stopped working) with the E4200. Every time I enter a new url, there is a 10 second delay while the 'sending request' message is showing at the bottom of the browser. When the website is connected, there is another 'waiting for xxx' delay for several seconds.I am on a Mac system (laptop and desktop). This never happened with the The delay occurs with wireless or with wired access. Happens with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Does not happen if I plug the desktop directly into my cable modem. I have Optimum Boost which is the fastest ISP in the area (possibly the country).I emptied the cache thinking it is DNS problem, works for a few minutes and then back to the same routine. I've tried every setting I know.
What's the use of paying for the fastest internet access and (supposedly) the fastest router if I have to wait 15 seconds each time I visit a website. Frustrating thing is that this sometimes, not always, even happens when I am going back to a page I just visited (back button on the browser). This has to be router issue since it does not happen when my laptop or desktop is plugged directly into the modem. This does not happen to me at work either. It does not happen when I use Cablevision's wireless network in Nassau county.
i have currently a 2504 WLC and some 1602i AP's.Basically so far i have configured the WLC as per the guidelines on the startup and now i want to join the AP's (which i haven't managed to do yet) and the setup the wireless network.I can get the AP to join and pickup an ip address and that is it. It comes up with different error messages from the WLC, and through hyper terminal, none of which i understand but the main jist is the following:
*spamApTask4: Feb 19 15:05:56.171: #CAPWAP-3-DECODE_ERR: capwap_ac_sm.c:3844 Error decoding Join request from AP 6c:20:56:0e:23:e0 AND 0Tue Feb 19 15:06:19 2013AP with MAC 6c:20:56:0e:23:e0 (AIR-CAP1602I-E-K9 ) is unknown. AND
We have been having issues with random packet drops and or some sort of radio lockup which happens a few times a day. I have a test AP setup with a few clients only a few feet away and I see this combination of messages. Should I be seeing these clients drop off and then reconnect immediately? Granted these test clients are not passing much data but my assumption is that they would not become deauthenticated because of lack of activity? This setup is using a radius server for authentication. I tested it before with just WPA2 PSK and only had a few disconnected over a number of days, compared with many a day with the Radius.
We have a WAP 200 wireless G access point. It worked perfect before. About two weeks agao, we didn't change anything, it began to send empty alarm email every 10 minutes. We upgraded the software to newest version, restarted it several times. But till now, it still keep sending empaty alarm email.
We have 5 Cisco Aironet 1100 wireless access points and we are having huge problems in the last few days with them disconnecting some mobile barcode scanners that we have.
We have two Aironet's in the top of the factory which work fine and 3 down the bottom which keep kicking the barcode scanners off. If we use the barcode scanners at the top of the factory they work fine, as soon as we come down to the other 3 WAPs it they keep connecting and disconnecting.
We get the following error in the Event log on the access points.Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left) BSS On the barcode scanners. [code]
When I tried with Security disabled, I could FTP and see my drive from an external network. However, once I rite & Security is enabled with write and read "" granted with a user profile created, the FTP Client has some error message; Could it be due to mode in FTP settings? (passive is set)
I have a WLC 5508 and several 1142 access points. The APs are not showing up in the WLC. When i console into the APs, im getting the following errors,
*Dec 26 23:04:28.035: %DTLS-5-SEND_ALERT: Send FATAL : Close notify Alert to 65.125.15.212:5246 *Dec 26 23:04:28.074: %CAPWAP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to

Ive tried resetting the WLC, reloading the APs. I even factory defaulted one of the APs and still getting the same message.Ive verified that the WLC is set to accept MICs and SSCs.
I'm building the use case to test / detect for rogue devices on the network. I have in my enviroment Lan controller 5500 controller with AP (aironet 3500). I want to detect for rogue devices/ap connected to my network. I know before i can see this activity on the network i have to configure the controller / ap to detect this behavior.
Authorize AP's against AAA function to make sure that all the AP's registering to your WLC are authorized AP's of the network.By enabling this feature, only those AP's whose mac-addresses are present in the authorization list, will be able to register to the WLC. url...
Using Rogue detection. feature, the WLC will be able to detect any AP that is not a part of its RF group and contain it. url...the forum I have seen other talks about the same issue and saying that if I have any APs in "Rogue Detection" mode sitting on the trunk port on the switch then only, this AP will detect the Rogue on Wired.
I purchased an ea6500 to replace a ea4500 about a week ago and in summary, I will be exercising the 30 return policy at the retailer, and probably never buy a cisco router again.not connected to router, and router not found messages appear alot.
Internet connectivity stops, unable to log into ea6500 completely frozen, but still routes to other LAN devices (like the SPI firewall i have the monitors network usage). then ranomdly comes back, and goes. can switch AP, and other will work, non-stop. is DEFINATELY ea6500.
sometimes I have to power cycle 6-7 times before it will maintain a wireless network that doesnt drop every 15-30 seconds.otherwise when i connect to the wireless, it log on for 10-15 seconds, then drops off and "Attempts" to reconnect.often stalls out, and crashs when USB external drive is connected at first. (again, power cycle 6-7 times to get to work properly)windows 7, and OS X 10.8 on 3 differant machines.
seems to connect better on the windows machines, and sometimes connecting with a windows machine allows apple ones to connect properly after... weird (OS X bugging up DHCP server? bacisally, when it goes down. it can take an hour to get my wireless back up, power cycle, and then see if its working proplerly, it usually isn't, try again... etc.
One Day the internet is fine the next day The Internet Stopped working. The problem is my pc is sending packets but not receiving any i though it was a bug or something so i restarted my pc after i restarted my pc the internet was working fine until a couple of minutes passed it stopped receiving packets again.i tried resetting the modem but nothing worked.I tried winsock fix or resetting TCP/IP and stuff but nothing workscause its starting to frustrate me.
Our computer is sending but not receiving packets. We've tried 3 different wi-fi adapters, and that wasn't the problem. We have no idea what's wrong? It won't pick up any wireless signals by the way, and it works fine while connected via Ethernet.
I have noticed poe log messages in my cisco 857 router, looking around there is mention of a cosmetic ios bug pertaining to 877 router but not the 857. BUG - CSCsd68389. Why i am getting these errors on my 857?
