Working as a consultant I find it annoying I cannot see a drop-down list in the AnyConnect client as you can with the traditional IPSEC VPN client with multiple profiles. How to modify the default profile to list multiple entries?
View 5 Repliesi've configured 4 connection profiles (IT,HR,Admon,VIP) on the asa everything works well, but our boss wants to know if it's possible to assign the right connection profile without using group drop-down list, what he wants is to use a unique connection profile (non-default) and via radius attributes using ACS 5.X to assing the right profile.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running some tests with Cisco Anyconnect 3.0 and trying to configure profiles with profile editor. my understanding is that when we configure a profile under the AnyConnect profile editor, it will be used automatically when client connects to the SSID.
I have downloaded both the profile editor and AnyConnect secure mobility client, when i create a new profile and save it under "Network Access Manager newConfigFiles" folder, it seems the profile does not take any effect when i try to connect to the SSID, I am still propmted for user credentials when I try to connect to the SSID. I read from somewhere that a profile should be created using profile editor when using EAP-FAST, otherwise connection would fail, I did find failures when using EAP-FAST however this does not happen if I use local auth (on wlc or AP).
so the question is how do I suppose to configure profile editor to work properly with AnyConnect? if I have multiple profiles configured under profile editor, then how does AnyConnect know which profile config file to take when i switch between SSIDs?
Is it possible to send profile name as an Radius atribute during client authentication? I would like to match users depends on profile name to sperate Identity Stores in my ACS. ASA 5540 8.4, anyconnect 3.1.01065, ACS 5.1
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to configure a client profile under the Any Connect Client Profile tab in the ASDM but keep getting an error message stating "Check that you have a proper Any Connect package installed in the Any Connect Client Software menu. Also check that your ASDM username have enough privilege." My user has sufficient privilege but I am not sure which Any Connect software I should have to enable this. Right now I have anyconnect-win-3.0.10055-k9.pkg installed. This is a lab setup using GNS3.

Based on my understanding through reading, web and email protection profile/config is global. It will be the same to every network user that is redirected via service-policy config on the ASA.
Scenario: I have two VLAN, guest and employee. Of course guest and employee have different web filter profile. Can i configure it such that guest web-filter profile is not just strict while employee's access is limited only to productive internet sites.
when a user login into the Cisco ASA Firewall (v8.3.2) via WebVPN, and accesses the applications. This works fine. In fact, the user can also create bookmarks etc.The problem here is when this user signs off and another user signs in via WebVPN, on the same PC or even on a different PC, this new user can view the screen viewed by the previous user. Basically, even though certain users can view only certain applications, but in my case, not all the time, but most of the time, users logging into via WebVPN can view someone else's profile application.
I suspect this is due to cookies or cache but I'm not sure myself. What can I do to resolve the problem.Currently, this issue is being resolved via a lousy manner i.e. we go to the SMB location and we clear the .CSP file manually, which is not the correct way to address this issue.
ASA 5510 running without issues for a while but we needed extra port so added a 4GE SSM.
Having installed the 4GE SSM we had some issues with the card not liking a connection to our switches and only working by plugging directly from the server into the firewall, not great as we wanted extra servers on the line in the future. So we upgraded the firmware and no are at an impasse.
We have upgraded to 8.0(4)3 and now we cannot get any traffic through the port, we can't even connect to an external DNS server. Running a packet trace I get an immediate error on the first step '(l2_acl) FP L2 rule drop', and it appears as though the outside connection is down.
I have some experience on setting up basic port forwarding and NAT for internet access, webservers, mail but this has thrown me.
I have an 887VA-w connected at home. I am using ip virtual-reassembly an all interfaces (dialer and all internal VLANs), I am also using CBAC (currently setting up ZBF). The issue I am having is that I keep getting drop packet error messages and the reasons can differ. Outside users with certain public ip addresses are not able to access our website. Below is a log from our ASA 5550 8.2(5) on one of the clients that's being dropped. Packet trace result shows that the outside public addresses are allowed. We do have a TAC case open.

Then I first configure a Deny from DMZ to all internal network and then a Permit to ANY. If I forget the first Deny I will allow all traffic also to my internal networks. I need a config that allows me to use 1 static ip on the outside interface of the PIX and allow with an ACL 7 ports open to the server and allow all the local host out to the internet.
I have a router in front of a few firewalls on an internet link. All traffic from the inside network must go through one of the firewalls to get out through the router and similarly there is a dmz on one of the firewalls.I am trying to make sure the router is fully hardened.Should I apply an access list on the outside interface of the router along with the access list for management access?

So in the past from 8.2 down I had one to one NATs like so

but for 9.1 im running now I need to do this

So if I make an ACL to permit outside public access to the public IP (A.A.A.A) in 9.1 do I use real B.B.B.B ip address or the object itself obj-B.B.B.B?
On firewall we have zone created for dmz and ip is 192.x.x.x and it is connected to 2950 switch(DMZ switch) with vlan 25..We have L3 switch on this we have created vlan 25 and connected cable from L3 with 2950 switch with vlan 25
As we have the servers on L3 and wanted to bring on dmz zone we have connected a cable.Now the problem is when i connect a pc on 2950 switch (directly on dmz switch) with access-list below we are not geeting any hist on it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure an extended access list on one AS5350XM but I get one way hearing on a voice calls and I can't determine why (please see the attached diagram). There is an OSPF running on both gigabit interfaces and the Loopback address is also advertised (it is actually the voip IP address). The access list is applied on both interfaces in the inbound direction. There is another gateway with IP:4.4.4.4 (no firewalls here) and the routing between gateways is working properly.

When I review the log of the AS5350xm I see many errors like this one:

So how it is possible to see this error since the access list is in inbound direction and the IP address (4.4.4.4) is open. I don't have problems when I do telnet or ssh from 3.3.3.3 to 4.4.4.4.
I am unable to remove an access list. Currently this this access list contains 4 lines of remarks. I was unsure if I was entering the command correctly and now I have 4 lines of "trash" that needs to be removed.
Symptoms:
The "sh run" command shows that I have access-list 100 defined.
The "sh access-list" returns nothing.
Process I have tried: config t
no access-list 100
no access-list remark Test (just trying anything at this point)
clear configure access-list 100 (This returns "Invalid input detected at '^' marker" and the '^' is under the 'e' in clear.)
So the "clear configure" command is not working. The "no access-list" commands does not return an error but does not remove anything.
What step am I missing? Let me know if I can provide any more information.
