Currently I'm running a 733Mhz Pentium something-or-other Compaq thing with a.couple of Intel pro 1000's, that.pulls about 28 - 30 watts alone so hopefully the supermicro will be close enough!?

All connect ot the main office over a VPN, all native Cisco routers (2900 series)I want to use netflow to monitor traffic, and I started, but my results are not what I expected. I don't think I configured it properly.
Several interfaces have sub-interfaces, so if I'm reading correctly, I only export flow from the physical intyerface, not the sub-interfaces. Correct?I want both inbound and outbound traffic, so do I use the command twice with ingress and egress?What is the difference between V5 and V9?
Finally, how does NBAR fit in this? I want to see applications as well as just packets.
ragarding AP AIR-CAP3502I cannot learn option 43 from MS server but it can learn the DHCP ip address. We have 2 sites that option 43 does not learned by new AP's but other site works ok. I tried also to delete and add the dhcp scope and same issue. My temporary solution will be creating the DHCP pool with option 43 and 60 in the access switch and it work ok, new AP's able to show in the WLC. I just need more information why site AP's cannot learn the option 43 of the MS server but other site AP's work ok. Is this IOS bug? AP's issue? MS issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a wireless router (D-Link DIR-625) connected to the modem for our high speed DSL. I have two Brother MFC printers, one is a laser (MFC-9420CN) connected w/ a Cat-5 directly to the router, the other is an ink-jet MFC-6490CN and I would like to use it wireless....but I could connect it to the router if I need to.I have wireless connection to the internet, from my HP 32-bit PC (running Vista-Ultimate), but can not see either of the printers on the network, and cannot print to either. I manually configured both to have an IP within the range of my network, but they still do not work.The problem (I think) could be with the IPCONFIG. (I had no problem last year, but we recently had a few power outages, and now the PC doesn't seem to 'see' any of the printers.) I checked the IPCONFIG. it states 'media disconnected', but I can ping the one wireless printer??? I can not ping the laptop on the network or the laser printer (I confirmed it's ipconfig before pinging).
I know the network card can't be bad, or I couldn't get to the router to access the internet. I also went into the cmd prompt as the administrator and did the /release/renew/all but that didn't work either.
How can I configure Cisco 200 (SG200-08P) to learn Voice VLAN and CoS/DSCP from upstreamCatalyst 2960?
The Cat 2960 is today used together with LLDP-MED to announce config to Aastra IP Telephones. In some cases I need to use a small switch inbetween and plan to use the Cisco SG200-08P for this. However, I would like to avoid manual config of the Cisco 200 switch.
I currently use the BEFSR41 router (firmware version 1.04.06). Up until about 10 days ago I had no problem accessing websites affiliated with World of Warcraft [URL].But now, I cannot load any of these sites.Also, when I use the Blizzard Launcher for WoW, the news panel does not load. The game itself, though, loads fine.This is definitely a router issue because when I disconnect the router and connect directly through my cable modem, I can access everything with no problems.These are the only sites my router is blocking. I didn't change any settings on my router so I don't know why it's suddenly blocking things. I reset my router and that didn't work.

I always thought that the acl hitcount counted the numbers of packets hitting that line in the ACL, however that is not the case. if I setup a icmp permit rule then that will only increment 1 even if I send 4 packets that hits the line. udp and tcp seems to do the same. is there some way I can make the ACL actually count the packets that hits ? where can I learn more about this ?

I have a laptop which I am trying to use to connect to either of my two PC's, but cannot get them connected.With that being said I did have some luck with RealVNC as I have the 5900 and other ports forwarded and was able to connect with my Android tablet and Android Phone to the my two PC's and laptop with no problems....well kind of. I did have issues with this at first till I figured out I had to use a 142.*.*.* ip address because my network ip adresses were behind a NAT IP.Now back to the connecting my laptop to my two PC's issue.I have tried using the 142.*.*.* ip address and I have tried using my network ip 192.*.*.* to no avail. I've been running into an issue with Cisco CSM for a number of years, but always found a way around it. Im attempting to get to the bottom of this to find out once and for all, if this is infact a limitation of the device, or a config issue/work around is possible.
Here is my situation. My CSM's are configured in bridging mode. Traffic works great, traffic bridges across vlans correctly. Everything works and have many instances of smilar configurations running in production. Every once and a while, a client requests that a "real" server (ie LWCMW-021)
cannot ping its VIP address (10.95.88.68). I am assuming this is related to the NAT Server, but not 100% sure. Clients have requested this functionality for some type of application based purpose, but Im unaware if CSM in bridging mode can provide this or not.

but for 9.1 im running now I need to do this

So if I make an ACL to permit outside public access to the public IP (A.A.A.A) in 9.1 do I use real B.B.B.B ip address or the object itself obj-B.B.B.B?
I have the following situation. A colleagues installed a spam block (Norton something) and he put two ip's on itsinterfaces. 192.168.2.20 and 192.68.2.21. One will be used to receive and one to send mail but both on port 25. They use a sinlge real IP 175.75.67.32. I am using a 5540 ASA with 8.2 IOS.
I am pretty sure this cannot happen but i got some advice to NAT the outgoing IP/Port and then PAT the incoming port to both IP's and it will work. I tried to do it with no success. I know that ASA 8.4 changes everything in NAT/PAT but is there any way with the newer OS my setup can work or not?
I recently installed a very basic version of XP on my old laptop (Gateway MT3707).After hours of searching for the correct drivers, I found them, and installed them. After installing the correct drivers for wireless internet I was able to pull up the list and find my network on it.When double clicking on our wireless network it asks for a network key (also called WEP key or WPA key).Now we have a password for our network, but after an exhausting amount of tries that won't work. I not sure if that is what its looking for. In our apartment we run mac OSX, windows vista, etc., but usually the password for the network is satisfactory. I have never ran into this problem.I hate to be a noob, but I don't know where to go from here.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had assumed it was quite difficult or at least time consuming for anyone to break into a password protected WPA2-PSK encrypted wireless network. I'm still a novice or a learner when it comes to computer networking, so I realized this could be untrue.
Some days ago, my 9 year old nephew visited my parent's home where I had set up a WPA2-PSK encrypted network with what I know to be a strong password for both the router and the security phrase.
When I arrived back to my parent's home, I found out that my nephew was some how able to use the password encrypted network. There was no way he could have known the network password himself. I don't mind if my nephew uses our network, but it shows there are serious holes in the security of a WPA wireless network if he was able to bypass the password.
My parent's later told me that while I was away, my nephew was unable to connect to the network, and so used his cell phone and called his father (my brother-in-law). In just a short of time, my brother-in-law explained to my nephew how to bypass the password on our wireless network and use the internet. My parent's are not too happy about what happened and did not realize what my nephew and brother-in-law were doing at the time.
No matter what password is used to protect the network and no matter how complicated, my brother-in-law uses some type of technique to bypass them. And as demonstrated by the story above, he even uses his own children to bypass our network security.
I would greatly appreciate if some users could instruct me on how to better secure my parent's WPA-PSK2 network from this criminal to prevent the breaching from happening again. And if he was able to break through, then I'm guessing it really isn't too difficult for others to breach the security of a WPA-PSK2 network either.
We have below queries regarding new version of ACS 5.3.
a) Is it possible to view real time logs for AAA clients and for ACS administrator?
b) Is it possible to track each and every change record for ACS Administrators and sessions in ACS . Ex addition and deletion of commands in command sets. As of now, we are able to see that config has changed by ACS admin but not able to see which commands are changed (Added or Removed)
c) As per user guide of ACS 5.3, we have an option for creating customized reports but unfortunately we are not able to see same option in ACS 5.3 GUI. Need confirmation on the same.
d) Is it possible to do configuration changes for ACS via Command line.
I have a problem with that the ACE20 (A2(3.2)) does send the connections to a backup real server in the serverfarm. I will how to troubleshoot in this case ? This is serverfarm configuration.

I recently installed a Cisco ACE 4710 version A4(2.0) into our test network. Load balancing across a number of web servers appears to be working ok and serving pages to users. However, when i tried to check the real time stats via device manager (Monitor> virtual contexts> context > Real servers) a number of fields specifically "current connections", "total conns", "failed conns" etc were showing N/A. Do I need to enable this somehow i.e. polling, if so how?
