I have new TP_LINK router, Model No. TL-WR1043N / TL-WR1043ND
And Its working fine most of the time but my problem or question is this, I play the WII online and its wireless through the router.I have a friend that is local in my town and we try to play online and it will never let us team up, and if we try it never lets us assign a host. I can play otherwise when i connect and search for a game in progress but if I send him an invite it will not let us team up and either host a game or join a game.
Ive done some research and Ive went in and add my WIIS MAC address into the DHCP and assigned it an IP address in the router and the WII, and it worked at first, we finally were able to join into a game on the same team, but its still not letting one of us host or, it keeps telling us unable to locate a host. Im wondering if I should put his MAC address in my DHCP and assign him a IP address?
I have 2 computers that cannot/will not acquire an IP address from my DLink router. There are 2 other computers that aren't having any problem at all...so I assume that it is not a problem with the DHCP service of the router. The 2 computers are laptops: one netbook running Windows XP and another standard laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium x86. Both computers are running McAfee and I have scanned with McAfee and Malwarebytes, and both are malware-free (no infections were found on either system on first scans...so it's not like I'm dealing with a system that has had infections removed). When connected to the network, they attempt to acquire an IP address, but cannot for some reason and then Automatic Private IP Addressing takes over and they come up with a 169.254.x.x address. I cannot figure out why this takes place, as I have gone through Winsock repair, uninstalled and reinstalled both network adapters (ethernet and WLAN) on both laptops and nothing seems to make a difference. I have even tried disabling APIPA by adding the "IPAutoconfigurationEnabled" DWORD value in the registry......still the same. I have manually configured the adapters with a static 192.168.0.x address, and I can begin to communicate on the local area level...but still cannot establish any kind of Internet connection.
I am working on development of a Windows based application which connects to a PDA like device over USB & communicates with it using RNDIS protocol. The device has a static IP in the APIPA range (169.254.2.1). When it is connected to PC, Windows allocates a dynamic APIPA IP (169.254.x.x) to the RNDIS adapter. I have confirmed that there is proper connectivity with the device (I can ping it, can access a web server on the device etc.).But the problem is that after Windows allocates the dynamic IP, a 'limited or no network connectivity' message is displayed in system tray.
Since the device & software will go out in the market, display of this message (& exclamation mark on the network tray icon) is undesirable. I know that it can be suppressed by setting property of network adapter, but would prefer a solution that would not require end users to do any settings using APIPA addresses is essential as we would like to avoid conflicts with end users' LAN addresses.
I have a host that can successfully connect to a PIX 515E (7.x OS) via VPN Client; however, I have no IP routing to the LAN from the remote host. The VPN IP pool works finem,The LAN default gateway is the inside interface on the PIX; the network is flat L2 behind it.The default route on the PIX points out; no other routes are defined,The VPN remote host can be pinged from LAN hosts, but the VPN remote host cannot ping any LAN host, not even the PIX inside interface.
I had to reinstall the hardware for a driver for my internet connection. Now it's asking me for the security key and we don't remember it and can't locate it. How can I find it, over-ride it, or establish a new one?
Is there an easier way to locate what an ACL, prefix-list, etc is applied to?ometimes its a bit tedious especially on some devices with a lot of config. I would like to see what route-maps a prefix-list is applied to[CODE]
Trying to upgrade my Wireless LAN controller model 4404, I'm running 4.1.190.4 code and want to upgrade to 6.0.202. Looking at the release notes for 6.0.202 and the compatibility matrix, the matrix indicates I two intermediate loads first. One is 4.1.192.35m and the other is 6.0.182.0 then I can load 6.0.202 code. My problem is I can't find the 4.1.92.35m code. Looking at the software download the highest 4.1 folder has is 4.1.185.0. where to find the 4.1.192.35m code for 4404 WLC?
There are two access points of Cisco AIR-AP1142 (4dbi, 2.4GHz). Settle down at height of 12 meters and at distance of 36 meters from each other. Whether will cover access points a zone on the earth in between? And on what distance on the sides?
I purchased a wireless usb adaptor from maplin (U.K. Electronic store), the device is home branded and I lost the driver cd.It auto detects as rtl81885 but I located the driver for windows xp pro sp 3 but it says it's not the right driver and I'm unable to contact the store at this moment as they're closed.
i've got a 48 port switch that's hidden somewhere that I can't find. So far, I've found 2 other switches in the hanging ceiling so there is a good chance it could be there. How I can see what devices are directly attached to this switch(I've access to it's management functions)? I figure if I can find a directly attached computer I can at least just do a wire trace.
I have a issue with our ASA firewall. I have a firewall which has inside, outside and DMZ interface. I have VPN clients that connect correctly and can acces the internal network. However for the profiles I have setup to connect via VPN to the DMZ network fails with the following messages.
I'm trying to set up an RV042 as a gateway for our home network. I've cloned the MAC address of the cable modem attached to WAN1, and have set up WAN1 to obtain an IP automatically. The System Summary page shows under WAN Status that WAN1 has been assigned an IP address in the right range for Comcast, the provider. The default gateway address looks good, and the DNS server is, in fact, Comcast's main DNS server for this area.
However, when I go to System Management > Diagnostic, the router is unable to resolve basic domain names (e.g., www.cisco.com) or ping addresses outside the LAN. I can ping the router itself successfully. Attempts to access the web through the router fail on domain name look.
we have a asa that block some ip dresse with this reason ( Drop-reason:(no-adjacency ) No valid adjacency ) and when i check the log i found this message for the same blocked ip adresse when they try to make dmvpn tunnel wyh the hub . Routing failed to locate next hop for UDP from MPLS:10.0.104.53/500 to MPLS:10.5.250.251/500 i inform you that the ip adresse of the hub (10.5.250.251 ) is connected in DMVPN Interface not MPLS ,and tha ASA is configured with na nat-cotrol command .nat is not configured.
I have an inspiron 3520 pre installed with Windows 8. the problem is that I cannot locate where to connect to a wi-fi network. it never appears on the networks window at the taskbar. where exactly can i find it?
I I try to ping a Host in the ITCS Network (i.e. 192.168.50.10) from the STI Interface I get the error that it failes to locate next hop. I'm quite confused buceause this network are direct attached, so the routes should be fine:
6Nov 30 201215:01:16110003192.168.3.990192.168.50.100Routing failed to locate next hop for icmp from NP Identity Ifc:192.168.3.99/0 to STI-Netz:192.168.50.10/0
I have two interfaces connected to two different subnet - interface 0/1 = 10.100.1.0/24 , interface0/2 = 10.100.113.0/24 as they are direct connected to the ASA i assume i dont need to add an static route but when i try to ping from one interface to the other (ping inside 10.100.113.1) i get "Routing failed to locate next hop". [code]
i have a bbsm server I'm bringing up on line. Trying to add the first site, i configured everything i think right, but the client gets a network error page, and the event log shows:
EventID:28 Source:BBSM_AtNotify Description: Failed to locate client ip:10.233.1.10 MAC: 00 00 00 00 00 db on any network device.
i did a debug on the AP1200 (12.3(4)JA) i am using and see that the bbsm is talking to the bbsm. I just can't figure out what i am doing wrong.
We need to connect from an external computer connected by cisco-vpn-client to one internal server that is behind an ASA 5505 config with Easy VPN. The VPN connection with the client to our 5520 firewall is fine, but when I try to connect to the server on the LAN, FW log says:
Routing failed to locate next hop for TCP from Internet:172.17.1.215/1108 to Lan_Interna:172.33.0.50/3389 Attached image.
I recently installed Connectifyme (Connectify for Windows - Turn your Laptop or Smartphone into a Secure Wi-Fi Hotspot) so that I could broadcast a wifi signal for my phone. Testing at home, I used it to repeat my router and connect through my computer. But when I took the laptop to the place at which I primarily need the utility (I have access to ethernet but no wifi), and used it to broadcast an unprotected ad-hoc ethernet->wireless network. Since using it in this way, my laptop has been unable to locate my home router, or my college's public wifi, though it is able to locate networks which either I am unable to connect to, or do not supply wifi internet. I tried making a ticke on connectifyme's support page, but after something like a week I've yet to get a reply. Uninstalling connectify did nothing, nor have I been able to find any issues with the network card or windows not recognizing the card. I'll be using windows 7 default utility to see how that works, but I first need to be able to reconnect to networks I know are in range.
how I can correct the issue with my wireless card not finding networks?
I purchased the Sharp Aquos TV and it had connected to the internet NO problem. Here I am months later and it is not able to detect ANY wireless networks to connect to (and we have TWO wireless networks set up!). I have even tried to manually configure by entering all the wireless info and it still does not detect. What could possibly be wrong? My wireless is working FINE ~ I'm on my laptop now.
