Cisco VPN :: ASA-6-110003 - Routing Failed To Locate Next Hop

Oct 30, 2012

I have a issue with our ASA firewall. I have a firewall which has inside, outside and DMZ interface. I have VPN clients that connect correctly and can acces the internal network. However for the profiles I have setup to connect via VPN to the DMZ network fails with the following messages.

ASA-6-110003: Routing failed to locate next hop

&

ASA-6-302014: Teardown TCP connection......No valid adjacency

I have connections to the DMZ which aren't VPN but are via the outside and internal interfaces with no problem.

The route table has a route to that network, and I have a nat in place

Cisco VPN :: 5505 - Routing Failed To Locate Next Hop For TCP From Internet

Jul 2, 2012

We need to connect from an external computer connected by cisco-vpn-client to one internal server that is behind an ASA 5505 config with Easy VPN. The VPN connection with the client to our 5520 firewall is fine, but when I try to connect to the server on the LAN, FW log says:

Routing failed to locate next hop for TCP from Internet:172.17.1.215/1108 to Lan_Interna:172.33.0.50/3389

Cisco Firewall :: ASA 5510 - Failed To Locate Egress Interface?

Jul 22, 2012

having a bit of trouble setting up our 5510.  None of us have ever played with a firewall before.  We've got most of the basics covered.  I was able to get to the outside world to do a software update to the box, but my laptop that sits in the inside can't see the outside.  We only have the default access rules in place at the moment.  Our old ISA firewall rules don't really translate all that well to this new box.

Cisco Firewall :: ASA 5510 - Failed To Locate Egress Interface

Mar 9, 2011

I have ASA 5510 with 8.3 version and using multi context. I created a new context ABC and tryed to add routes in the context for the ABC networks it would not work.  There was an error in the log stating, “failed to locate egress interface”.  I changed the metric on the static routes from 1 to 2 and it started working.  Is it normal in a multi context?

Cisco Firewall :: ASA 5505 / Failed To Locate Egress Interface For TCP From DMZ

Apr 9, 2013

I have ASA 5505, in routed mode, basic license.I run a web server in DMZ. I can reach Internet from DMZ. Also, the trafic from outside can reach the web server. However, if the web site is requested from within the DMZ, the request will fail, and the firewall log contains the following message:

Failed to locate egress interface for TCP from DMZ50: 30.30.30.10/49213 to 170.70.30.114/80

I don't have DNS, so the request must go to Internet, even the web site is hosted on the server in DMZ.

Here is sample of my config file:

interface Vlan1
nameif inside
security-level 100
ip address 162.160.1.3 255.255.255.0
!
interface Vlan2

[code]....

What can be the reason for requests, originated in DMZ, to fail, and how could it be fixed?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Nexus 5020 - Fan Chassis Failed

Oct 24, 2011

I have an alert from monitoring system about: “ fan for this system is not in the NORMAL state”. In the switch I found that the problem is with fex 3, see below:

Nexus5020# sh env fex 3 fan
Fan Fex: 3:
------------------------------------------------------
Fan             Model               Hw         Status
------------------------------------------------------
Chassis     N2K-C2148-FAN       --         failure
PS-1           N2K-PAC-200W         --         OK
PS-2           N2K-PAC-200W         --         OK

Technician said: fans appear to be operational, BUT the only thing that appears abnormal is STAT light is amber (not sure what it means).

Also, if I compare the temperature from module 3 with module 2 (which doesn’t have an alert) is almost the same, this is why I think the fan is working fine, since module 3 is not hotter that module 2.

What I can do to reset this fan (chassis)?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3750 / Replacing Failed Member In Stackwise?

Dec 18, 2012

The stackwise marketing info states that when a failed member is replaced with a new switch the replacement switch "gets the exact configuration of the old device".  I would figure it takes a little more than just disconnecting and connecting a new switch in the same spot on the stack. doing this with 3750 family switches?  What are the steps to prepare the stack for a new member?  what steps need to be taken on the replacement switch before insertion into the stack to make sure it gets configured like the unit it was replacing?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3745 Router Failed To Exchange The Reference Signal

Mar 17, 2013

I am almost new to the networking field, hence I might have lacking some basic knowledge. I like to know the impact if the ground of any router get disconnect. WIll the router stops work?  We have two peripheral router in my organization, both are connect with the MPLS cloud through the MUX. One router (3745) have ground connection, where as the other (3845) don't. Recently the 3745 router start generating CRC error on the WAN interface. Once we remove the patch cord connecting with the MUX for loop test and reconnect later, the interface did not come back again. FInaly someone advice me to check the ground connection. I found it was loose. Once I fix it properly and reboot the router the interface become up. The person told me that some cisco router send the reference signal through the ground to the MUX connecting with it, if the MUX and router failed to exchange the reference signal the router will not work, is this true ?
