For example, can I upload 100 licenses for Company-X and 100 licenses for Company-Y and when adding devices into Prime, tell it which licenses pool to pull from? I'm also running ASDM ver: 6.4(7)So my question is while I'm in the ASDM on the configuration of the firewall, I'm looking at the Access Rules. When I do a show log on any of the rules that have hit counts on them, it opens up a Real-Time Log Viewer but I don't see any information. It's not showing anything, nothing appears, it just sit's there like it's waiting but no data is coming. Even though if I go back out to all the rules, I can see the hit count incrementing. The same thing happens no matter which rule I pick with hit counts on them.

I found big problem with ping. I can't ping any internet ip with packet size bigger than 990.
I checked runing again. I see config every thing fine. I can't ping bigger than 990 byte.

i know in Cisco PIX til 8.2 OS, if i have Nat control disabled and ACL permitting connection from Low Secirity ( DMZ ) to High Secuurity (INSIDE) then connectino should be successful, and i dont need any STATIC identity nat of inside IP to be created.
But i have Cisco PIX 525 with Version 7.2(2) Which is not allowing connection from DMZ to INSIDE , although nat control is disabled. and giving RFP check failure, any thought?

Deny UDP reverse path check from 10.100.100.102 to 10.100.100.255 on interface SPECTRA-LAN
This is because interface SPECTRA-LAN (VLAN50) is the interface connected to the network with ip 10.100.100.0/24 but the interface do not have a ip address so it does not exist in the routing table I believe?However interface INTERN do also belong to network 10.100.100.0/24 which also is the management interface and the default route for hosts in network 10.100.100.0/24, but has no vlan.
1. move the management0/0 to SPECTRA-LAN and give SPECTRA-LAN ip 10.100.100.1?
2. give SPECTRA-LAN a ip address in the 10.100.100.0 range?

Does ASA 8.4.3 check the source IP address of a DNS reply and drop it if the reply address is different to that in the query?
Customers DNS server does this due to a recent change, their server now has a virtual address, but replies are sent from its physcial address. This is temporary. Their PIX is happy with this.
Replace the PIX with the ASA, DNS fails, the only reason I can see is due to the way their internal DNS operates.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen we setup a connection between two hosts we receive the message "TCP checksum incorrect" , This is between a settop box on the outside and a server inside the firewall. This STB used to communicate with the server on port 443 which is NAT-en to port 12697.With a new settop box image which uses on the inside and outside port 12697 we receive this TCP checksum incorrect on the Firewall with wireshark.
Strange is that on the outside of the firewall we see an MSS of 1460 and on the inside it is 1380 (don't know if there is a relation with this and the issue we have)
Is there a newer tool for current versions of Checkpoint to ASA 8.4? I notice a lot of similarity between checkpoint and 8.4 now, but I still have to do it all line by line which has become a PITA.

Having browsed the support forums and Google - it seems I need the 3DES license. I have obtained an activation key from Cisco and applied it to my ASA 5505 however I get a warning about the device is licensed for a higher software level. the license on the ASA is Security plus. When I apply the activation key from Cisco most of the features are disabled.

I have 10 user license for Cisco ASA, i have to use this ASA for client connectivity. Can i do NAT of more than 10 users with this license? What i understand is NO.
But as per Below explaination looks like, i can if i am not doing default routing? Actually i just need to add a specific Route towards client DMZ interface on my ASA, no default route, so can i use more than 10 concurrent sessions with this license?
Do I need the security plus license to do HA with two 5520's?I was told by our purchasing department that the 5520 was supposed to be able to do HA out of the box, but when I look I see only the VPN + license. Does that mean I can download the security plus license? Or do I even need it on the 5520.
