Cisco :: NetFlow Enabling On 6500 And 4500

Configured 6500 and 4500 to send netflow to a stealthwatch NADS.When visited by the stealthwatch engineer found that because i didnt have NDE configaured.i wasnt actually exporting any but the initial data in the flow.Now if i have got this right the command for this is - mls nde sender version 5
This is confirmed by looking at the following out put -show mls nde.Neither of these command work on my 4500 switch -does this mean that its not outputting all the data or do i not need to configure NDE or do i need another command ?

I just completed setting up a AIR-CT2504-K9 controller with 9 APs with RADIUS on the private WLAN and an open guest WLAN; I want to enable netflow exports to a collector, but see no place in the GUI to do this and no obvious CLI commands.

I got some problem with enabling dhcp snooping on 4500 (cat4500e-lanbasek9-mz.122-54.SG.bin) the topology is as below: dhcp snooping enabled only on CORE (with interface trusted to dhcp server)the problem is that I put these 2 commands
ip dhcp snooping
ip dhcp snooping vlan 1
but it is not enabled on any vlan
SW-CORE#sh ip dhcp snooping
Switch DHCP snooping is enabled
DHCP snooping is configured on following VLANs:
none
DHCP snooping is operational on following VLANs:

On B1 if I turn it on there is a "1" in the section " DHCP snooping is configured on following VLANs:" but on core no.As you can see I did put the trusted on the interface in the direction to the dhcp.First I thought it can be a problem with option 82, I've read a lot about the issues with that, but the problem would be explicable if the client did receive IP address, but it does.

I want to enable jumbo frame con a Catalyst 4500, specifically in the WS-X4648-RJ45-E card. (running this IOS version Version 12.2(53)SG1).
For what I checked, this are the only needed commands:
vlan xxx
mtu 9000
interface port 4
mtu 9000
exit
I want to be sure that these are the only needed comands and that they won t generate any disruption.

I see these errors on my 6500 router which acts as my server farm and has hundreds of servers connecting to it. I have just taken over these routers from another guy and think the errors may have been there for quiet awhile. I have another router which doen't seem to have these errors. Can you tell me how to turn off netflow? Will it cause any problems to my server farm? Is there a risk to the router if I disable something?
I ask this cause the server guys are having problems with certain servers. I am not sure if they are because of this or not. I really would like to clear the logs. [code]

We have a Cisco 6500 running the following image;
Cisco IOS Software, s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-IPSERVICES_WAN-M), Version 12.2(33)SXH4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
We are attempting to configure Netflow and export to a colloector. We have the following configuration applied to the device, we can ping from within the vrf to the destination of the flow collector
ip flow-cache timeout active 1
ip flow ingress layer2-switched vlan 1,800-801,803,821-823,861-862,871,900,998,1100-1107,1121,1200,1221,1301-1302,1321-1322
mls netflow interface
mls flow ip interface-full
ip flow-export version 5(code)
however we do not receive the flows on the collector. We can see the flow for both hardware and software but cannot see them at the collowctor.

One one of our Cisco 6509s I've globally enabled QoS and set a port to "trust cos". However when I look at the queueing for that interface, I notice that the receive queue thresholds have not changed to the default.
I'm kind of new to QoS so I'm not sure if I'm missing something.
We are using a Cisco 6509 running 12.2(33)SXI3 using the WS-X6724-SFP card. I thought I'd be seeing the default tail-drop thresholds, but instead I still see the defaults as if QoS were not enabled:

I am using a Thrid party NetFlow tool, Enabled NetFlow on the Cisco 6500 as per recommendations and getting only half amout of traffic passing thorugh the interfaces. I have verified with 3 different NetFlow based tools, everything showing the same value. Is there any bug in my Cisco 6500.

I tried to configure netflow without success.
Setup is the following.
Cisco Catalyst 6509 with Sup720-10GE IOS 12.2(33)SHX7. There are around 30 L3 vlans configured on the switch. I'm only interested for the traffic on one L3 vlan which is the connection to wan cloud.
I wanna see only the traffic that goes to and come from the wan. On other Catalyst where I have routed interfaces i successfully configured netflow. I read a lot in the forums and documentations but i didn't find the right one.

I have a problem with the 6500 not exporting netflow data. They are not exported due to no fib.I have read somewhere that this has something to do with VRF. VRF are running on the router.ip flow ingress has been applied to desired ip int.Is there anything I could do to make it export netflow data?

I'm trying to configure a egress netflow in a 6500 (VSS) with VS-S720-10G supervisor. I foud some old posts and understood that netflow wasn't supported on 6500 but i found a new document and it seems that netflow is supported in Supervisor Engine 2T:[URL] Does the netflow still not supported in VS-S720-10G? It's weird because the command is supported:

We are preparing to install a new switching Infrastructure at one of our sites. We have decided that we want to have two separate chassis as a core. My original idea was to purchase 2 - 4500 chassis and install 10Gb and 1GB line cards in each and use STP and HSRP to load balance between the two cores.
We had also contacted a vendor for thier recommendations and they came back with 2 6500 Chassis running VSS. I reviewed what VSS was as I had never heard of it and it looks to me basically to be real close to the same thing as Stacking. I didn't really want to have stacked Cores because I would like to have the flexibility to be able to take one core out and update the software or image, reboot, and such without effecting anything on the network. I can do that with the non-VSS approach but it looks like that would be more of a problem with VSS.
My question is, how to use VSS with the 6500's? How to take one of the VSS pairs off line and not effect normal network operations?

I encountered a problem migrating configuration from Cisco 4500 with IOS 12.2(53)SG4 to Cisco 6500-VSS with IOS 12.2(33)SXI7.
With 4500, we had 2 servers with JBoss running multicast to build up the cluster. They used 239.X.X.X multicast IP. There was no need to configure "ip igmp snooping vlan XX static XXXX.XXXX.XXXX interface X" neither static arp entry.
When we migrated to 6500 in VSS, we had to do:
mac-address-table static XXXX.XXXX.XXXX vlan XX interface X disable-snooping
With this command, the JBoss cluster worked well. The question is, ¿Is there any difference regarding IGMP in 4500 versus 6500?

can I plug power supply from 4500 to 6500? more specifically we have power supply PWR-C45-1300ACV. And we need to place some power supply to 6500, which has only one active module. So 1300 should be enough for it. But we dont know if they are physically compatible, if it is possible to plug. I didnt find this power supply to be officially?

I have had an EA4500 and EA6500 have the following problem:I have time warner cable internet, Motorola SB6141 modem. The modem connects to an Ooma Telo. The 4500 and then 6500 are connected to the ooma.I have this problem when the routers where placed in front of the ooma as well.
1 time per day, always at the same time, the router stops working. for both wired and wireless connections. i need to unplug the router to work. The modem and ooma continue to work, so i know there is internet getting passed from the modem to the ooma. However, the internet gets disruptted with the routers.
this must be a settings issue with the router. where everyday at the same time, maybe when timewarner changes over or something the router does not pick it up?? i dont know. i have gone through 2 routers and same identical problem.

I bought an 871w second hand with 124-24T IOS on it. I would like to enable QoS. When I use Cisco Configuration Professional to manage the router I click on QoS and it says it is not available. I know that the router itself is QoS capable.
This is my first time dealing with a router such as this and I wonder what I need to do to enable QoS.

Apparently one of my two ISPs,CenturyLink, supports 6rd connections to IPv6.
This is supported natively on my Q1000 ActionTec modem, however my modem is in "transparent bridging" mode, so that the RV042 v3 can be the only router.
how to configure the RV042 to operate in this manner.
Per the CenturyLink FAQ: the IPv6 address space is:
2602::0 /24
Most importantly, can I do this WITHOUT buying a new modem.

I'm having a problem with an ASA 5510 and software from Manage Engine (Firewall Analyzer). They are saying that sys log 113019 is not getting data over to the server where the firewall analyzer is installed. I'm checking the config and I see it enabled. Why this particular sys log info isn't making it to the reporting software when other data is.

I am using suddenlink intel pro/100 but my 1394 connection keeps enabling itself. this causes my screensaver webshots and my power options to quit working and computer shuts off on it's own. I disable 1394 connection in networks connections and then have to do a system restore to make things work right. A day or 2 later I have to do it all over again. It seems to have all started when I downloaded MS .Net framework 4.0 for a music program I don't really need. should I delete .net framework or is that a mistake.

I have few inter-AS and Hub & Spoke MPLS L3VPNs up and running but, all of them uses plain IPv4 on the PE-to-CE connecting interfaces for switching the L3VPN customer traffic. While, this is ok to route traffic between customer sites over a ISP backbone using the VRF and MP-BGP/LDP configurations which does the MPLS forwarding in the ISP backbone, i would like to know, how to enable MPLS forwarding on the PE-CE links as well to make it MPLS right from CE1 - PE1 - P - PE2 - CE2 all the way for the VPN traffic.
This way, even the last mile access to CE devices will be an MPLS link over a Ethernet PHY so that, the traffic originating from CE1 to CE 2 will be carried on a MPLS tagged Ethernet frame instead of IPoEthernet frame.
