Also was wondering if it is possible to change the Annex B version I have to Annex A if I bring it back to England?
I've purchased a router SRP547W and I would disable DHCP server. On the control panel I can't see anything about disabling this function. I don't need dhcp server on router and I don't need dhcp relay. My firmware version is 1.2.4_003.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe have an SRP541W on which I thought I had disabled DHCP, its turns out that in fact I haven't. After seaching again for the DHCP on/off funtion I found it under the Vlan settings (Wierd place to put it I thought).
The Router has a static ip address on the LAN side of 192.168.1.254 and is connected to a Cisco 2700 series on the WAN side. Our network DHCP is served by an SBS 2011 server hence my reason to switch off DHCP on the router. However when I select Static IP address from the Address Type in the VLAN settings and try and save the changes I get an error that is IP Address / Subnet Mask value is illegal. Great but why when the router has and IP address assigned and the subnet mask is set do I get this error. On the VLAN settings page there is no option to set an IP Address
The operation steps on router (WRVS4400N):
1.Set the IP mode as Dual-stack IP and then save
2.Disable the IPV4 DHCP server
3.Use other deivces to connect the router.
The connected devices have the same IP address(2005:123:456:789::1),I am confused, why is it?
I need support for wap4400n and I did not find it in the user guide and the administration guid.Is it possible to disable DHCP in this product? I want the wap4400n Access Point to distribute DHCP from the windows server.

How do I disable DHCP Proxy and switch to DHCP bridge mode for one WLAN ?
I have ASA5505 as my main router (192.168.15.1) and it currently it also serves as DHCP server. I have a WNDR3700 (192.168.15.2) which work as an access point and it provide wireless access for wireless devices. I have few dhcp clients where i can't setup static IP, and i want to restrict them to use static IP through MAC reservation.
1. Make ASA5505 to do the MAC reservation f, which will be easy setup for me. But as per my search its not possible.
2. Disable dhcp on ASA and enable dhcp on my WNDR3700. i tired this and dhcp clients are getting IP from wndr3700, but the problem is dhcp clients gateway defaults to 192.168.15.2 (as well as dns) and therefore no internet connection.
Can you confirm that if I want to disable temporarily a dhcp pool on a 4500, I need just to shutdown the interface VLAN corresponding to a specific dhcp pool?
ip dhcp pool test
network 10.X.27.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 10.15.27.250

How to disable dhcp proxy on controller and what is the impact of doing it in the middle? We tried once by giving 'config dhcp proxy disable' command but seeing virtual ip again.(likely it gets back to proxy mode). We also have ip helper address on the L3 interface. We have only external dhcp servers configured..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BEFSR41v2 and have since upgraded to a wireless router. I now need a hub and have read that I can disable the DHCP in the BEFSR41 and use it as a hub. If I understand what I've read, I hook the cable running from my current wireless router into the uplink port on the BEFSR41 and then have the 4 ports available for expansion without using the WAN port - does this sound correct? Also - should I have the router (now configured as a hub) set to obtain the IP address automatically, set a static IP address or what? Finally - the firmware is the original firmware 1.42.7 (April 2, 2002) and I've read where people have problems after updating the firmware.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile trying to configure my RV042, I "turned on" the DMZ Host functionality (under Setup > DMZ Host) by entering the LAN IP address of one of our machines. I now believe that I don't actually want this on. According to the Help page (and also the manual) it says:
"Enter the IP address of the network device that you want to use as a DMZ host. Alternatively, enter zero (0.0.0.0) to disable the DMZ Host."
So I try to enter 0.0.0.0 as the address, and it give me an error:
Are the instructions just incorrect? Is there a way to turn this off?
We have an RV042 router at location that we are a tenant of. They ran a security scan of it and found that TCP timestamp is on. Is there a way to disable that feature? I do not see an option in the web management tool.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe use a phone system that requires SIP Application Layer Gateway to be disabled on the router. We replaced the older RVO42 routers with the WRVS4400N routers and the VOIP phone works fine with this check mark option disabled.
Does the new RVO42 router allow you to disable this option? I did not find it in the manual so far. I do not want to buy two routers and find that it will not work with the phone system. We need Dual WAN this time so I thought we would try RVO42 model again as long as it is the latest version. Any issues with newer RV042, RVO82 with NEC VOIP phone systems?

I am trying to configure the DMZ on my SA520 router but without success. After a lot of tests I reduced everything to a very simple test case that is not working: I setted the "Optional Port Mode" to "DMZ" and enabled "DHCP Server" in the "DMZ Configuration", but DHCP on the DMZ does not assign any address.I am wondering if my optional port is broken or not.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just tried replacing a cheap domestic router/switch with an RVS4000 V2 on our work network. This has a WAN connection to a cable modem for internet access via a dynamic IP address.
When I first connected the RVS4000 it got a WAN ip address via DHCP of 192.168.100.11. This is the type of IP address we get when there is an upstream problem with our ISPs cable network, and sure enough we had no internet access. The RVS4000 was set to use DHCP on the WAN interface. So I logged a support call with our ISP but they said there were no problems at their end.
I then swapped the RVS4000 out for the original router. This worked fine and got a WAN DHCP address of 77.xxx.yyy.zzz as it should. Swapped back to the RVS4000 and back to the same problem of getting a 192.168... address.
So, I downloaded the latest firmware from Cisco, which was V2.0.3.2 and flashed the RVS4000.
I then tried again connecting the RVS4000 to the cable modem but this time it would not get any WAN DHCP address at all. On the Status/Gateway page of the web interface it said that the WAN interface was down. However, on the front panel there was a yellow light indicating a live connection on the internet port.
I have a customer using a RVS4000, DHCP is enabled; the unit is set as gateway but there are no DHCP address assingments coming from the router.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco RV220W router (firmware version 1.0.4.17).
I would like to have two separate networks with the following specifications:
Netwrork1: address range for the network is 192.168.0.1-254. All devices should be able to reach eachother within this network and connect to the internet either on LAN or through Wifi. From this network I should also be able to reach the device management page of the router. Also the devices should get the ip addresses throgh DHCP.
Network2: address range for the network is 192.168.5.1-254. All devices within this network should not be able to reach the devices in network1. All devices on this network should reach the internet through Wifi only. Device management page should not be available on this network.
I have configured the router as shown in the attached screenshots but the problem is that in Network2, devices get IPs from the 192.168.0.1-254 range and not from the 192.168.5.1-254 range. Also there is no internet on these either.
I have Cisco router RV082 and I need to set up in this way. There should be two sunb nets.. each should have it´s own DHCP and each sub net should work in different external IP.. (one Internet port a and second DMZ/internet port)
Is it possible to set up?
I know how to disable the DHCP on the SRP527W but i was wondering how do i configure DHCP relay to point to a network DHCP server.
