I am not a tech guy but have to take care of some basic IT stuff. I had Ether fast cable/DSL router and it got changed with RV 120W router. there were comment that internet is now working slowly - what could be the reason for this?
I copied most of settings. First big technical problem was with phone. It stopped working - call could get through but when answered there was no sound. We use linksys modem for VoIP. I called operator and was told to disable sip alg. I did that and service improved a little. When answering a call sound could get through but would stop for few moments and then continue. Operator told me to forward port 16384 to 16482 to VoIP modem IP. But I can only set forwarding for one port at the time in "Port forwarding" settings. Is there a way to forward to port range?

Everything works, but in my destination server, i see as remote address the IP for the RV120W. I want it to forward also the originating IP address of the client (the remote address)
Is it possible to configure this?

We have just acquired a Cisco RV120W Firewall Router and we are experiencing issues with this router. I've read some threads related to port forward issue with RV120W before writing this new topic.
We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.
We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.

I need to open port range 554 - 558 to a DVR on the internal network. Also, I need to NAT one of my public IP's to the DVR. How is this accomplished in 8.4? I was able to do it in an older version ASA software.
I’m having serious issues getting Tandberg H.323 working behind this router with NAT.
My setup is Cisco 1811 configured with Fas0 to pull DHCP (public address). This router is being used in a mobile medical clinic VAN so the setup needs to be seamless and transparent to the users. The idea with the DHCP is anywhere they go they could pull a DHCP address and then NAT behind that address. The van visits mostly small schools in the Texas Rio Grande Valley providing medical assistance and consulting to the local community. The router has an 8 port built in switch and all ports are sitting in default VLAN 1.

Now initially I can’t even get the call to connect with just using the ports above, which I should. Also knowing there are several issues with H.323 and NAT I went ahead and added all know ports Tandberg says they use…
Basically I created static NAT entries for all the ports and the ranges above. For the ranges I had to add a line for every port.
This didn’t and hasn’t worked yet even with some additional tweaking… Finally the question… am I going about this all wrong? Is there an arrangement of commands that will even work? How can I accomplish the port forwarding setup on a Linksys/Netgear router on a real Cisco router?
I have a network with multiple servers behind a PIX with 6.3 on it. I have one public IP address, and I'm using NAT. I'm currently trying to port my Exchange server to a cloud host, and the vendor is requiring I open up a wide range of ports for MAPI, basically ports 1024 on. What would be the command to forward all of the trafic cominto/from that broad range? if I could simply route all trafic to and from their two IP addresses to my email server, that would accomplish the same end goal.

I currently have an E1200. I can port forward single ports, but when I attempt to forward a range of ports it doesn't work and there is no error in the log.
Specifically I am port forwarding RTP ports (10000 - 20000). I am aware of the security risks, please do not preach.
I have configured port range forwarding (8440 - 8449) for a single PC (192.168.1.134) and am unable to access these ports from outside my LAN. I have a WRT160n that I am trying to forward some ports on for some DVR equipment. When I use the single port forwarding and enter each port separately it works fine. But I have 2 DVR's and they use a bunch of ports each so I want to use the port range forwarding because there are not enough spots in the single port forwarding section. The ports I am trying to forward are 8000-8004 for one IP address and 8005-8009 for a second IP address. I have entered it into the port range forwarding section but I can not connect from outside my network. At the E4200 there is a limit of (free to make) 15 Single port forwarding and 15 port range forwarding to fill in.I get as suggestion that I must give up a total range of ports where all the ports I use where in.But for security reasons I will not do that.
I'm trying to make the server work for minecraft and I have the port number for the port which is 25565.I just need to know where exactly to enter this information. I also know that the protocol is supposed to be set for both tcp/udp.

I have a couple of IP security camera's I'd like to be able to access remotely that also listen on port 80. I tried TCP & UDP 8009/8009-> 192.168.0.9 without any luck. Not sure how to handle the port redirects on the RV042G? Seems simple and was on the Symantec, could be user training :-)

I have a Cisco RVS4000 with Port 1 as a trunk connection to a Cisco SF300 switch. Port 1 on the router is configured 1untag,2tag,3tag,4ag. When connected directly to the router I can connect to the switches management IP. I would like to reach the switch remotely. I have set up DDNS and can access the router and I have have set a specific port to forward to port 80 on the switches management IP but this does not work. Should I not be able to Port Forward to the switch across VLAN 1?
Port forwarding on rv120 does not work. I have followed the workaround instructions: so i have created a firewall access rule on incoming port 21 to an internal ip address on the same port. The router has created the forwarding port rule. But port forwarding does not work. I have tried to use a custom service but nothing!
The router is reachable from wan, I can access via DNS the configuration page and I can ping the router on wan port.
Currently I have the RV042 router working in a dual WAN set up, it is configured to accept connections on numbers of ports like 80,443, 25 and forward them to a local ip.

I want to view the camera from the internet outside the house. I have followed the instructions given by the manufacture for port forwarding. I'm having yet another issue with my RV220w. I thought this would be a wise buy, but I keep finding reasons to hate myself for buying this router.Anyway, I need to forward port 3389, Windows Remote Desktop Protocol to one of my internal servers. I have defualt NAT, defualt firewall, etc. etc. I have seen documentation that says that Firewall -> Port Forwarding is non-functional, so I attempt to set up port forwarding via Firewall -> Access Rules. I did not see "RDP" or any other obvious acronym for Remote Desktop Protocol in the services list. So, I made a custom service, called RemoteDP, TCP protocol, port 3389 to 3389.No, I cannot RDP to my server from WAN. This was easily achieved with a cheap NETGEAR router from 2005.
Today i installed an RV180 VPN router as replacement for a netscreen ns-5GT.Exactly the same configuration, everything works, except port forwarding from WAN to a host inside NAT.My ports are open (online port-scanner sees the ports as open), the hosts are accepting connections, but a connection can't be made.Probably a bug in the firmware.
We have the following proplem with the RV 120w router with the last firmware. We can't manage to set up port forwarding. So the situation is like this: we have WAN ip: 192.168.2.68 and our router connects to VPN server and gets an IP like 10.0.10.X. In the inner network we have PCs and a DVR (digital video recorder) with ip 192.168.1.215. Our DVR uses 3 main ports like 81 (http) and 37777 (tcp), 37778 (udp) and we try to make port forwarding with the router interface like the manual says (look and the sceenshot). But when we try to enter our DVR and see the picture from the outside network (we type in browser 192.168.2.68:81) nothing happends. It just dosen't work.
Before cisco we used d-link router and everything worked just fine with the same port forwarding rules.So we need to enter WAN address in Cisco and show the 81 port in the address bar and see the picture from the DVR 192.168.1.215 from the inner network.
i have a WRVS4400N Router and behind that router i am running a OPENSWAN Server. I know that the WRVS4400N has a VPN Service on board, but for specific reasons i'd like to use my own ipsec server.
The problem is that i cannot forward the IPSEC Paketes (4500 and 500) coming from the internet interface to the LAN. All other port forwardings like SSH works. I think the reason is that the IPSEC Services (Pluto, etc.) are already running on the router and therefore the pakets cannot be forwarded. The log shows all forwarded port (e.g. SSH) but does not show any IPSEC traffic.
I'd like to turn off the VPN Service on the router, but I cannot find any configuration switch that allow my to do so.

Problem: Everything back to normal on the LAN except that port forwarding to the NAS no longer works.
Gerfingerpoken: I opened another port (1235) and forwarded that to the NAS (in addition to the original port). No success.
I tried a port scanner. The port scanner reported that port 1234 was open on the router, but didn't mention 1235. I repeated with yet another port. Same result: only port 1234 is reported open by the port scanner. Software rebooted the router, same result Hard reset (button) the router, still no change.
QUESTIONS: 1. How can I test if the router is actually forwarding new ports? (software tool?)
I have recently replaced an RV082 router that had failed with a new RV082. The previous router was set up to forward port 443 ssl requests to a server in the network. Worked flawlessly for years and that is why I replaced it with same model. The new router is also set up to forward port 443 ssl requests to the new server. The issue is that the router responds with its own certificate and does not forward the request to the server.
