I have a cisco Swtich SGH 300-20 Gigabit switch i configure 2 vlan one is default and one is vlan 10
 
Vlan 1 ip range  172.16.0.0/23
Vlan 10 ip range 172.16.2.0/24
 
Client on Vlan getting Proper IP from DHCP Server all i need is to distribute internet bandwidth we have 6/3 mb and i want to give 4/2 mb to vlan 1 and 2/1 mb to Vlan 10
 
Int Gi16 on switch is configured as trunk port and is connected to cisco 2811 router
 
what are the command used to distribute bandwidth between these 2 vlans

So my case is: computer from router1's network can ping 192.168.222.2 (router2 -FastEthernet0/0.197 )computer from router2 network can ping 192.168.232.18 (router1- FastEthernet0/0.380),but can't ping 10.132.1.126 (router1- FastEthernet0/0.382).

How can i connect vlan 380 and vlan382.I want the three vlan to see each other.Is this happen with IRB or not?

Whenver I try to establish a tunnel on SDM_CMAP_2 and run a test using CCP, I get 2 failure reasons:

1. The peer must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following peer(s) are  routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.130

2. The tunnel traffic destination must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following destinations are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.134
 
The tunnels on SDM_CMAP_1 are all active Do I need to include a default route for the second ISP on the router? If so, how do I get this done? When I tried it, I had loops on the user LAN segment of the network.

What are the benefits of using a Layer 3 switch as opposed to a router for distributing traffic? Basically the building I work in has a fiber line coming in which then gets connected to a Level 3 switch (NetVanta 1534) which is then connected to all the ethernet ports and what not. Why would they choose to use this device as opposed to a router? Or just a regular Layer 2 switch?

I am looking for some tips on managing my router. I have noticed lately our bandwidth useage has gone up and maxing our DSL line.Cacti is monitoring just for traffic trending and I am in the middle of getting NetFlow going.
 
Our router sits on the edge with no internal way to access it (or at least so I think right now.)
 
My thought is to enable NetFlow and port forward it into our network and use ManageEngine to see whats going on.I dont have any ACLs running on the router... We have two connections DSL and T1, I have them into a routing policy.Our nating and firewall sit behind the 2811.

Currently, we have a Cisco router (28xx), ASA 5520, and a core switch 4500. We have different vlans. We also have Auto QoS running for our Cisco IP Phones.My manager just asked me to see if I can either reserve some certain bandwidth for one vlan, or give that vlan higher priority on internet traffic than the others.

1.) Anyway we can reserve some more bandwidth for one vlan than other vlans?

2.) If #1 cannot be done, how can we provide higher priority on the internet traffic to one vlan than the others?

3.) Is #1 or #2 the same config? If not, which one would be easier (without changing our current QoS settings)?

4.) If 1 or 2 can be done, which device I should config the settings on?

5.) This question may be duplicate, but do we need to reset our current QoS to achieve the goal?

This is existing network diagram and find attached file for configuration of Router and L3 Switch:ISP provided 6 Mbps internet access link with ethernet Handoff  which is terminated over Cisco 1841.ISP also provided pool of 30 Public ip's 125.63.74.33 /27 , range from  125.63.74.34  to  125.63.74.62.In my current setup, all Inside to ouside traffic going out through 125.63.74.34 public ip because this public-ip NAT overload with Router F0/1 interface.
 
1) I want to divide 6 Mbps link physically into three parts 2Mbps, 2Mbps, 2Mbps for three VLANs.
 
2) I want to also configure each vlan IN/OUT traffic with different Public ip. is it possible or not ?
 
 Vlan2 =  172.25.162.0 /24 =>  Inside to outside / Outside to inside traffic through  125.63.74.40
 Vlan3 =  172.25.163.0 /24 =>  Inside to outside / Outside to inside traffic through  125.63.74.41

I have 2 switch groups.
 
2 SGE2010's with VLAN's defined as 10,20 and 30
 
Vlan 10 is the management VLAN, and it uplinks to our border router.Vlan 20 is the workstation VLAN, and all workstations point to the switch as their default GW? Vlan 30 is the ip phone VLAN, and all phones use this as their gateway.
 
I would like to put a LAG between said switches, we have some servers on the ip phone switch that need to be accessed by the workstation clients, and the single 100mb link through the router is probably not going to be enough.As I understand it, because the switches have different networks on them, a simple lag will not work. I did create a lag, and assign ip addresses to each side, however in that mode, it doesn't appear I can block vlan 10 from transiting the LAG, and with out that block I will end up with a logical loop, and spanning-tree will block one of the uplinks, or the LAG itself.

I'm going to have several SG300-28P switches to setup.  I'll need to create multiple vlans for data, voice, and wireless traffic.  I have the following questions in setting up this configuration:

1) For managing the switches via IP, will LAN1 be the default management network?  Should I create a seperate VLAN for managing the switches?
 
2) For uplinking the switches together, I plan to trunk a port to connect the switches together.  What's the configuration on the trunk port to forward all vlans from one switch to another?
 
3) On some ports, I want to configure a trunk for two vlans (Data and Voice) where the phone has a pass through for PC.  The phone supports tagging for the PC and the VoIP traffic.  For example on port 10, would VLAN 100 and 300 be set to tagged?

Cisco Routers :: RVS4000 Not Distributing IP Addresses?

I work for a company that recently upgraded to a Cisco RVS4000 router in place of a failing D-Link router.  I configured the RVS4000 to utilize the same address space as the D-Link previously did (192.168.0.0 Network Address, 255.255.255.0 Subnet Mask, RVS4000 in Gateway Mode with IP Address 192.168.0.1, DHCP Scope from 192.168.0.101 - 200 managed by the RVS4000) before installing it on the network.  I powered down the D-Link as well as the cable modem, then all of the workstations in the office.  Then, I installed the RVS4000, powered up the cable modem, and once it was ready, powered on the RVS4000.
 
When devices connect, the RVS4000 is assigning them an IP address in the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet, instead of the 192.168.0.0/24 subnet.  I have verified that the RVS4000's GUI is showing the correct settings, but connected devices are not picking up addresses from the correct address pool.  In troubleshooting, I went to each workstation, released and renewed their IP addresses, and they picked up addresses in the correct subnet.  I thought everything was solved, but the next day, the same problem resurfaced.
 
I left the DHCP lease time at the defaul value "0", which according to the unit's documentation should correspond to a 24-hour lease period.  I suspect this is why I had to renew the clients' IP addresses the next day (today), but I still don't get why the RVS4000 wants to give out addresses in the 192.168.1.0/24 scope.  Could this be a holdover from the factory settings?
 
Additional Information: I did not set up any VLANs on the network and the office only requires one subnet as there are not a lot of devices connected, nor do we need the traffic segragated.  The VPN functions of the RVS4000 work fine.  Using the QuickVPN utility, I can access the network and resources on the network remotely without issue.

I just received a new Cisco SG300-10 and am configuring it in Layer 3 mode.  I am trying to setup multiple routed VLANs going back to a FiOS Actiontec router.  My configuration is as follows.
 
Fios Router: 192.168.1.1
Assigning DHCP 192.168.1.2 through 100.
 SG300-10 has VLan 1 ip 192.168.1.5 used for Mgmt.
VLAN2 is 10.0.2.1
VLAN3 is 10.0.3.1.
 
I have a static route set on the fios router for both subnets setup as follows.
 
Destination 10.0.3.0 Gateway 192.168.1.5 Netmask 255.255.255.0 Metric 1
Destination 10.0.2.0 Gateway 192.168.1.5 Netmask 255.255.255.0 Metric 1
 
I have a laptop connected to Gi8 on the Cisco (Vlan 3) and statically assigned 10.0.3.3, with a gateway of 10.0.3.1.  DNS set to the fios router (192.168.1.1). 
 
Everything pretty much works EXCEPT, I cannot get out to the internet from either vlan.  Traffic routes between vlans/and the default subnet on the fios without issue.
 
When I ping out, DNS resolves, but will not go past the fios router.  Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Cisco Switches :: SG200 Vlans Across Two Switches

I am trying to set up three vlans across two switches. The switches are Cisco SG200 and SG 300 series. There are 20 devices connected to the two switches including a router for Internet. Among these devices are five wireless access points all hardwired to the LAN. If I understand correctly the first thing I have to do is aggregate the two switches. I ran two cat5 cables to ports 1 and 2 of each switch. As I understand it all I need to do is to create SAG with the two ports on each switch. I think I need to use tagging but I don't really understand how to do this. Once I get the trunking set up correctly I want to create one vlan to which all devices will belong for Internet access. The other two would be for data and VoIP. Do I create vlans with the same name on both switches? When I assign the devices (by port) do I need to enable tagging? Which type of port setting should I use? I am assuming that by including the acess points in the vlans will mean that any wireless device connected to them will have acess to the Internet and the devices in the same vlan.

I am trying to get WOL working across different VLANS on a SG-300-10 Switch in Layer 3 Mode.  To achieve this, I've setup an UDP-Relay (GUI menu IP Configuration) for UDP-Port 7 to 255.255.255.255 (this should flood all interfaces with the paket), however, WOL doesn't work across different VLANS.  When I am connected directly to the corresponding VLAN, WOL works fine within the same subnet.

Trunk from 3500 going into SF300-8 #1 QNQTrunk from SF300-8 #1 going into trunk SF300-8 #2QNQ from SF300-08#2 going into Trunk SF300-24, All Vlans from Network 1 seem to be communicating properly between the 3550 and SF300-24 and is isolated from the Transport Network by QnQ.  I am having one problem, I can not ping the SF300-24 or get to the management interface.  I am able to access other devices on the SF300-24 Vlan1 from devices on the 3550 Vlan1 and vice versa.

My ISP is providing me with 1 public IP on a /30 network and 14 public IPs on a /28 network.  In this example the 10.0.0.1 is the default gw provided by my ISP and 10.0.0.2 is my SF300-08. If I setup my router to route to 10.0.0.2 as the default gw through the interface between the switch and router, can I configure the static routes in the switch to route further to 10.0.0.1?

is it possible to have these 2 networks on different VLANs and configure inter-VLAN routing? I don't want the switch accessible from the 10.0.0.2 IP.

I am IT teacher at a middle school in Nuremberg, Germany. We have in our school 5 VLANs, 4 Switchtes, 1 L3 switch and 1 router.
 
2 months ago the old L3 switch (Catalyst 3550-12T) is broken. In the short term I've borrowed a Catalyst 3750G-24, so that the network continues to function. Now a SG 300-10 switch was purchased. This should be configured the same as the 3550-12T or 3750-24G.The network looks like this (there are much more PCS than in this image):

The DHCP server in VLAN 30 is also a FOG server. The Fog server images all PCs in school. PCs in VLAN 10, 20 and 30 boot from PXE. The MS Server in VLAN 10 has been configured by the DHCP options 66 and 67.
 
The Catalyst 3750G-24 routes the multicast, but the SG 300-10 I do not have the option of using the commands ip multicast-routing distributedip pim sparse-dense-modeto work and must configure igmp. I'm having problems with the igmp-configuration on the SG 300-10. Therefore, I have uploaded the configuration of the 3750G-24 and the configuration of the SG 300-10 (without ACL).

I am having problems accomplishing these tasks with my new SG 200-18.
 
I have a LinkSys WRT54G2 connected to port 1. I would like ports 2-8 to be in one VLAN with access to the Internet and to be able to share their printers, hard drives, etc. with other computers on ports 2-8. I would like each of ports 9-16 to be on a separate VLAN with access only to the Internet and no other ports on the switch. I would like to be able to manage the switch from any of the ports 2-8.
 
After I create the VLAN 1009 (see screenshot below), port 9 can browse the Internet and cannot see the other ports on the switch which is correct. However, ports 2-8 can no longer access the switch at 192.168.1.20 in order to manage the switch.

I have a 2960 and a 2811 with a hwic card I have one port set as 100 meg and another port set at 10 meg. Both are set to access mode. i need one port for failover (10 meg) . I can't do ether channel on the hwic. How do I prevent a loop when I connect my second connection. While having both connections up. Should I use bpdu guard? the goal is to have one port fail over if the 100 meg goes down. And I'm currently running ospf so it should take the faster connection.
