Cisco Switching/Routing :: 2960 - How To Recover Password

I have a cisco 2960 switch. Trying to recover a password. Have tried several different ways to recover it. I have let the switch load completely, then pressing the mode button waiting for the light to turn amber and then green. I also have held the mode button down, plugged the switch back in until the mode light turns from amber to green. Either way I will type flash_init. Then when I type load_helper I get a invalid command response. The command load_helper isn't even listed.

In an attempt to restore a Cisco IOS I deleted the file C2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin my swich
Before deleting the same was as follows:Directory of flash :/

I tried the steps mentioned in the links below:

the other similar resolutions on the cisco/other website but none of them works for the Cisco 4506 switch I have.
1. Reboot
2. Press the "CTRL + C" button on the laptop to put the router into ROMMON mode.Result: Works fine and gets into the ROMMON 1 mode.
3. confreg 0x2142Result: This one does not work. confreg=0x2142 and that command is accepted by the switch but it does not tell us that we have to restart to make the changes. Now it goes ROMMON 2 mode.
4. resetResult: I type reset and the switches seems to be power cycled but it again goes to the password prompt which I dont know and this is the password that I am trying to recover or break.

I just received a Catalyst 2960-C (WS-C2960C-8TC-L R) switch and I am unable to sign into its web GUI in order to configure it. I've tried both the Cisco Network Assistant and Internet Explorer and I am unable to log in either way. The documentation provided by Cisco states that the default password is simply cisco and that a username is unnecessary. Needless to say, it doesn't work. I've also Googled for other default passwords (such as cisco-cisco as the username-password), none of which worked either. I've also tried resetting the switch back to its factory default a few times.

I have a 24 port 2960-S that is not communicating with a 2960-LST that it is directly connected to over fiber. The link is up on the LST but will not come up on the -S. What command should I use to bring up this link? I have tried no shut from the (Config-if)# prompt.

l have my term server 2511 and l was tryng to recovery the password but at the rommon mode, l cannot have any access even when l do confreg 0x2142
He brings me tho this: transaction "CONFREG' domaine server (172.16.15.30) (172.44.244.10) (172.244.15.17).
What those this mean. l when to all process still cannot do this.

I couldn't recover my password so I just created a new account.I just recently bought the ASUS RT-N16 since I switched to a different ISP that provided only a modem.
The problem: Some computers in the house will connect no problem to the network and without trouble. Other computers will be able to connect to the network but it will be restricted. When you go to the internet browser it shows an Asus logo and says: "the cable for ethernet is not plugged in". All the computers are wireless and in fact I am writing this while connected to the RT-N16 (wirelessly). Also, sometimes a computer will boot, I will go into the browser, it will show me that message, I unplug the RT-N16, plug it back in and the internet works again. This happens everyday.
P.S. I would also like to note that I tried connecting to the internet network with a nexus and it showed me the same error while I tried connecting with a samsung galaxy S2 and everything worked just fine. Also we got like 5 computers at home and I'd say 1 computer always connects fine, some don't connect regardless of whether you restart the router or not and some computers work only when you restart the router so I have very mixed feelings about this one...

I have a Linksys wireless router, model WRT160N. My wife got a NUK for Christmas and I can't remember the password to include the NUK in my system. I called support and after sitting on hold for 1/2 hour the tech came on and told me for $29.99 I could get my password reset. Is there a way I could retrieve the password myself so I can avoid spending the money?

Since i added another Member to the Stack, i'm facing the following problem: When i login with my tacacs user account, i will not be asked for the password. The same thing is for the tacacs account of my colleague, after entering the username he is logged in. It seems for me, that the passwords are cached only for this Switch.

My management has tasked me to give them a high level overview of the different switching we can choose for our new building.

I am using a 3750 as a default gateway for multiple Vlans on a few 2960 switches. The trunk lines are configured and working and I have assigned ip addresses to each of the Vlan interfaces on the 3750. My issue is that I can only ping the ip address on the Vlan interface of the 3750 if I have a working computer plugged directly into the Vlan on the 3750. I only have 3 vlans on the 3750 that have hosts directly connected (vlans 2, 10 and 40) the other vlans ( 20 and 70) don't have any clients plugged into them on the 3750 but the hosts reside on 2 different 2960s that connect via trunk ports. How do I keep the vlan interface on the 3750 switch pingable when I don't have hosts directly connected in that vlan on the 3750? (yes, I have enabled ip routing on the 3750)
