Cisco WAN :: One-time Password In ISR 2911?
Feb 10, 2011I logged in first time with default user ID and Password i.e.,cisco then I did wr erase and reloaded the router but I didn't change the one-time password in ISR 2911.Now its asking for user name and passworkd and cisco doesn't work.Now from ROMMON mode if I change to 0*2142 and reset it will again come back to ROMMON mode.From ROMMON mode if I type boot will come back to normal mode and ask for username and password.

Asus RT-N16 - Couldn't Recover My Password?
Apr 4, 2013I couldn't recover my password so I just created a new account.I just recently bought the ASUS RT-N16 since I switched to a different ISP that provided only a modem.
The problem: Some computers in the house will connect no problem to the network and without trouble. Other computers will be able to connect to the network but it will be restricted. When you go to the internet browser it shows an Asus logo and says: "the cable for ethernet is not plugged in". All the computers are wireless and in fact I am writing this while connected to the RT-N16 (wirelessly). Also, sometimes a computer will boot, I will go into the browser, it will show me that message, I unplug the RT-N16, plug it back in and the internet works again. This happens everyday.
P.S. I would also like to note that I tried connecting to the internet network with a nexus and it showed me the same error while I tried connecting with a samsung galaxy S2 and everything worked just fine. Also we got like 5 computers at home and I'd say 1 computer always connects fine, some don't connect regardless of whether you restart the router or not and some computers work only when you restart the router so I have very mixed feelings about this one...

I have let the switch load completely, then pressing the mode button waiting for the light to turn amber and then green. I also have held the mode button down, plugged the switch back in until the mode light turns from amber to green. Either way I will type flash_init. Then when I type load_helper I get a invalid command response. The command load_helper isn't even listed.

the other similar resolutions on the cisco/other website but none of them works for the Cisco 4506 switch I have.
1. Reboot
2. Press the "CTRL + C" button on the laptop to put the router into ROMMON mode.Result: Works fine and gets into the ROMMON 1 mode.
3. confreg 0x2142Result: This one does not work. confreg=0x2142 and that command is accepted by the switch but it does not tell us that we have to restart to make the changes. Now it goes ROMMON 2 mode.
4. resetResult: I type reset and the switches seems to be power cycled but it again goes to the password prompt which I dont know and this is the password that I am trying to recover or break.
Cisco WAN :: 2911 Stops Responding After A Period Of Time
Nov 2, 2011I have a Cisco 2911 router with 4 T1 connections. Two are set as a multilink and the other two are for two other locations. The router will run fine, but after a month I cannot ping the gigabit ethernet 0/0 interface. I would have to manually reboot the router to get it to respond again. Before I noticed a lot of interface discards which would shutdown the 2911 and a manual reboot would be needed, but for this time it isn't the case. Where would I start with this the memory and cpu usage are fine.

They have wireless printers, iMacs, pc laptops and iPhone 4S's, all connecting without any problems. Recently, they got an iPhone5 and it will not connect to their home wireless automatically, they have to re-enter the password each time. They've tested their iPhone 5 on other networks and they do not have to re-enter the password. Apple and ATT are blaming the router. I do not live near them and I'm going to have to facilitate them remotely. At this point, I believe their router is configured with WPA2, but I can't be sure. Which configuration will work with the iPhone 5, as well as their other, older, devices that have worked for 4 years

Should I take this to mean after the first time it won't prompt them again for a password? I was wondering If my roommate wants to use my internet account if she can use the guest account every time without a password or not.
