I can make some "local policy" with client of SSL VPN AnyConnect and block access to internet?
The user would only have access to the internet if he was connected to the VPN (by internal proxy).
We have a RA Vpn split_tunnel setup in one of our locations which is working fine in all areas except for traffic destinged for one specific website using https. This vendor only allows the HTTPS connections to them to come from certain outside IP addresses. ssentially it should work like this:RAVPN_client (10.4.4.0/27) --> https request to vendor_ip (208.x.x.x) ---> ASA55XX --> NAT_to_outside_ip --> https request to vendor_ip (208.x.x.x) need to understand how you would go about NATing ONLY this specific https traffic from the RA VPN while not having to alter the setup otherwise. Internal hosts (aka behind the ASA physically) do not have any issue getting to this site, as its nat'd to the outside ip address as we expect.Here is what we are using for the NAT Exemption list he 10.2.2.x, 192.168.100.x and 172.23.2.x are other remote sites that we have. RA VPN users are using the 10.4.4.0/27 do not have any issues connecting to them, no matter the protocol.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI already have traditional IPsec VPN access working just fine through this device. Users connect and authenticate using a windows AD server for RADIUS and everything works great. However, the customer wants to use AnyConnect instead of the traditional VPN client. So I added a SSL connection profile (the anyconnect essentials feature is enabled on the device) and told it to use the same IP pool and RADIUS server group as the IPsec clients. I used the ASDM wizard to configure it and had no issues completing the wizard. when trying to make a connection to the webvpn portal I get a 404 error instead of the client portal. Also when trying to connect with the Anyconnect client, I get the usual "Untrusted VPN certificate" warning, but the connection attempt fails when I click through it.The strange part is when I look at the issued certificate in the browser or the client, it's showing me the certificate from the RADIUS server. Why is it looking there for certificate and more importantly, why does it care at all about a certificate when I've specified in the connection profile to use AAA to authenticate?

I installed the "Cisco AnyConnect Sercure Mobility Client" Version 3.1.01065 on my Windows 7 Ultimate PC. When I try to connect to my VPN service I ge the following message:
Security Warning: Untrusted VPN Server Certificate! AnyConnect cannot verify the VPN server: XXX.XXX.XX.XX
-Certifiate does not match the server name
-Certificate is from an untrusted source.
-Certificate is not identified for this purpose.
Without purchasing a certificate from a 3rd Party vendor, is it possible to register a "Self" generated Certificate to get rid of this message? If so are there any "Detailed" (e.g., simplified or not in Cisco-eeze language) instructions on how to setup the Firewall to "push" the certificate to the VPN client so the message doesn't come up for the user?
it's probably just me but I have tried real hard to get a simple AnyConnect setup working in a lab environment on my ASA 5505 at home, without luck. When I connect with the AnyConnect client I get the error message "User not authorized for AnyConnect Client access, contact your administrator". I have searched for this error and tried some of the few solutions out there, but to no avail. I also updated the ASA from 8.4.4(1) to 9.1(1) and ASDM from 6.4(9) to 7.1(1) but still the same problem.
The setup of the ASA is straight forward, directly connected to the Internet with a 10.0.1.0 / 24 subnet on the inside and an address pool of 10.0.2.0 / 24 to assign to the VPN clients. Please note that due to ISP restrictions, I'm using port 44455 instead of 443. I had AnyConnect working with the SSL portal, but IKEv2 IPsec is giving me a headache. I have stripped down certificate authentication which I had running before just to eliminate this as a potential cause of the issue. When running debugging, I do not get any error messages - the handshake completes successfully and the local authentication works fine as well.

How can I configure an ASA 5505 NEM client to allow access to the Internet when the tunnel to the headend is down? I am planning on deploying back to back ASA 5505s in network extension mode but I do not want to block Internet access on the client side if the tunnel to the server should go down.

Ideally, this would be accessible from the DfltAccessPolicy or another dedicated policy, but right now I'm happy with any access. Everything else seems to be working as expected. I've rebuilt this config a number of times without success. I can ping the IP from the ASA itself.

I'm trying to get the AnyConnect Clients access to the 192.168.137.0 LAN behind ASA-1 at 1.1.1.1. Having both 192.168.238.0 and 192.168.138.0 both access 192.168.137.0 is acceptable.
There's probably a lot of cruft in this config, as I've been reading all over forums and docs without much success.

I just configured a ASA for Remote VPN. I think that every works fine but I have no access to the Clients into the Local LAN behind the ASA.

After AnyConnect has establised the connection I can ping the inside Interface from the ASA but I can`t Ping the PC behind the inside Interface.

We have configured a Cisco ASA 5505 with AnyConnect access. This works great. However, these users cannot seem to ping devices on the private network. We have configured all devices on the network with a 10.10.10.0/24 address space. The inside interface of the ASA i 10.10.10.1/24 and the VPN return addresses are 10.10.10.50 - 10.10.10.65/24.They users can utilize SSH and Oracle or MySQL calls but cannot seem to ping. Obviously, I am over looking something.

I have an ASA 5505 that is on the perimeter of a hub & spoke vpn network, when I connect to this device using the VPN client I can connect to any device across the VPN infrastructure with the exception of the sub net that the client is connected to, for instance:
VPN client internal network connects to 192.168.113.0 /24 and is issued that ip address 192.168.113.200, the VPN client can be pinged from another device in this network however the client cannot access anything on this sub net, all other sites can be accessed ie. main site 192.168.16.0/24, second site 192.168.110/24 and third site 192.168.112/24. The ACL Manager has a single entry of "Source 192.168.113.0/24 Destination 192.168.0.0/16 and the "Standard ACL 192.168.8.8./16 permit.
I have two ASA5505 with a site to site VPN.One of the ASA is connected to the internal network 192.168.150.0.The other one is connected to 192.168.151.0.
I have also configured IPSec Cisco client VPN to the one which is plugged to 192.168.150.0.
I would like to know if it is possible for a client connected with the Cisco VPN to access the network 192.168.151.0 through the site to site VPN.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have one user who is unable to Access Remote Network resources when connected to the VPN on his home network. VPN shows connected and he is given a remote IP from the VPN Pool, but he cannot ping any IP on our network. When connected using Sprint Wi-Fi card he is able to connect and access remote network from the same laptop. Maybe there is some network overlap that I am missing.

However, I cannot connect to the Internet while I'm connected to AnyConnect. I've tried different DNS servers in the AnyConnect profile, different Split Tunnel settings. I just can't seem to figure out the Internet issue. And the strange thing is I can't resolve any Internet addresses either through the AnyConnect connection. When I try pinging [URL] it just says that it can't find the host [URL].

i have a question about tunneling a software EasyVPN client to a client ASA Network. It looks like this:
EasyVPN Server 192.168.202.0/24 Network extension mode to Client EasyVPN ASA 192.168.1.0/24 This works fine in both directions. But now i want to connect the client ASA network via EasyVPN software client from outside. The user are already able to connect to the ASA Server on its static outside IP obtaining an IP from a 192.168.21.0/24 pool. This works fine. But how am i able to connect to the 192.168.1.0/24 network from this client?

Upon successful connection, the client disconnects and goes into a continous loop of reconnection to no avail, a message at the bottom appears: "A VPN reconnect resulted in different configuration setting. The VPN network setting is being re-initialized. Applications utilizing the private network may need to be restarted."At times I also see after this loop of attempts to reconnect: "The VPN client agent SSL engine encountered an error. Please retry, or restart AnyConnect."Note: I added the VPN applications to the trusted zone of KIS 2012, unchecked the SSL and HTTPS 433 ports and added exceptions for the applications, again without use. I tried uninstalling and installing after disabling KIS but the problem persists.

The VPN users are supposed to download and install the client from the web-site. Then they enter the URL to connect to our VPN. This worked fine during the test and only some users are having issues. This seems like Windows issue.

when it comes to IOS based SSL VPN setup, so have run into an issue which I can't seem to find an answer for.
What i'm after is a way to restrict access to an AnyConnect authenticated and connected client, on a specific profile, to a list of specific websites (all on the Intranet). Everything else must be blocked.
On the IOS device, I had it fudged to pretty much retstrict access to a certain IP and port, and used a mod rewrite in Apache to re-write a URL from that IP to the host the site actually resided on. It's cludged together and working, but it's not ideal (and it's not going to allow for scaling up to what I need).
I can find plenty of references here and on the net to using regex to create block lists based on a global policy to disallow specific URLS, but I need the inverse of that, and, only applied to a specific policy group.
Is this possible on an ASA5505? Is it possible on *any* ASA?
I am having an issue I need to have the outside interface terminate a ssl AnyConnect Client. I have several groups the will login and I need multiple inside interfaces to satisfy my security needs.
I have one group call ombudsman-mhdd and they need to go out interface g0/1.231 and another group called oet-router go out g0/1.232.This works on my 8.2 box but I am having trouble routing traffic out these interfaces.
