I am configuring Clientless SSL VPN on ASA5505 with 8.2(2)17. After the login, default page should be "Home", but if activating "Anyconnect". it always goes to Anyconnect as a first page. If disabling "Anyconnect" using SSL VPN Customization Editor --> Portal --> Application, it always goes to the other one. Never get "Home" as a first page, can I set the first page manually?
View 3 RepliesI'm performing a migration from an ASA5520 running version 8.04 to an ASA5525-X running 8.6.
The issue I had was that whilst all of the SSL VPN portal configuration was migrated the initial portal page does does not load. I thought that this could be to do with ASDM and WebVPN both being enabled on the outside interface and so I tried changing the port used for ASDM and disabled the ASDM altogether on the outside - but still to no avail.
Could this have something to do with the fact that you can no longer just point your browser at the outside interface of the firewall to get to the ADSM? Does some configuration need to change for the ASA to accept connections on the outside interface?
The basic WebVPN access as it stands right now is:

with our WLC 5500 controller, once the clients get the DHCP address the page is not redirecting them to the guest portal.What is the best way to check as to why the redirection is failing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco ASA 5510 8.2 (3) with clientless SSL VPN portal enabled with some bookmarks pointing to internal servers. I just installed a new Mac OS Lion Server 10.7 box and have a share on it using both AFP and SMB. My old Mac server is 10.6 with a similar share with both AFP and SMB enabled. When using the Portal browser (or bookmarks pointing to cifs://example/server), I get an error "Error contacting host" to the the 10.7 box, but browsing to the 10.6 box works fine.
I have double checked all settings on the 10.7 and permissions, everything appears correct. I can also browse internally via SMB from Windows XP/Windows 7 using default UNC paths \exampleserver, etc., to the 10.7 box.
From what I have read, the 10.7 has a completely different design to the SMB versus the earlier 10.6. [URL].
I bought this wireless router the other day in order to get internet access on my Nintendo Wii. I set it up using the CD and followed all the instructions (made a password, wrote down the key, etc.) - and my Wii CAN detect it, but when I type in the key on the Wii I get an error message. I looked online and they said the way to fix that specific error is to "change the channel" on the router to 1 or 11. (It is currently 6). I type in my IP into the browser like I'm supposed to (the default IP of the router), but ALL the options on the page are greyed out and nothing is click-able. Here's a screenshot

I have blocked some websites and i dont want ppl know that it is blocked by router because in D-Link default error msg it is clearly mentioned that " This page is not included in the router's Allowed Web Site List". Since it's now out of warranty and I'm no longer certified getting the latest sw version isn't possible so I'm stuck with the version it shipped with.
1, How do we change the web log in page from https to http? No guest wants to get confronted with a certificate error page so https doesn't make sense.
2, The virtual interface used for Web-Auth provides for a DNS Name but if I set a name it won't resolve and the log in fails. If I delete the name it uses the assigned IP instead and works fine. How do I get the DNS Name to work since it looks more professional?
3, When changes are made to the WLC I was initially just applying the change and then saving the config but it appears for some of these changes to take affect I have to reboot. It this correct or am I just missing something.
Again some of these issues are probably addressed in the subsequent sw releases but since my device sat in a box for 3+ years I missed out on the opportunity to upgrade and now TAC is telling me { (no contract || no warranty == no software) }, despite the fact that this device reached its EOL.
I am trying to customize a web VPN portal on my 5510 but I get errors whenever I try to add a customization object. Running ADSM 6.1(5)51 on ASA 8.0(5). The error I get when I try to apply a newly created customization object is:

I have issues connecting to the webvpn as its asking for some certificate for authentication, I am using the self generated certificate, but when I try to connect to SSL gateway via its IP address , Browser expect me to provide the certificated, I want to tell the Browser to use the self generated certificate of ASA5505, but not sure how I do it.I undestand when WEBVPN/SSL clientless VPN try to establish the VPN , ASA sends the certificate back to the browser to accept/authenticate it, but when I connect I don't get any certificate where I say YES to accept it.Can I just disable certificate with SSL and just use username/password to crater a WEBVPN ?

What happens is when I boot up I will get internet access for about 2-3 minutes or enough togo to about a couple web pages and then connectivity will drop and I'll get the yellow triangle with an exclamation point on my network icon. The error traingle will go away after a few minutesand say I have connection again but when I go to a site I'll get "Can not display page" error. Things Ive tried was restarting the modem and router(it cant be a problem with either of them because I have another computer hooked up to the router and I have internet access on my other computer). Ive tried resetting winsock and renewed ip, no luck. Ive tried reinstalling Windows 7 64bit then also 32 bit. Thought maybe it could be a problem with the 64 bit. Ive gotten rid of my Nortons(read that could be a problem) so I uninstalled it. Ive tried unchecking Ipv6(or whatever it is) didnt work. I looked for Bonjour file in my services, didnt have it. I even bought a new NIC and my computer recognizes it but it doesnt work either. Drivers are all up to date, so says my computer when I tried to update them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt usually consists of installing routers in units. Occasionally I have to change the routers IP address to keep it from conflicting with other routers. To do so, I need to get to the router options to do that. Normally, typing in 192.168.0.1 gets me there with no problems. Sometimes it's a 10.0.10.1. (They have D-Link DIR-615 routers.) To make sure I know which address I need, I use the cmd and ipconfig /all. Some of the routers spit out an IPV6 address instead of the IPV4 that I need to access the router. Even after a factory reset, it still does this. I can't get in to change anything.
