our WAN is connected via L2WAN and using EIGRP to connect the sites. Currently there are 35 EIGRP neighbors over L2WAN and we are to install 15 more sites and will be connected to the same L2WAN. Some sites are still using Cisco 2651XM and we would like to know if it can still handle another 15 EIGRP neighbors. Some sites are 2800 and 2900 routers. And is there any other things to consider for EIGRP over L2WAN?
View 5 Replieswe have 5 sites connected with a combination of direct fiber and Service Provider Ethernet. The equipmet consists of 3750 stacks with IP Services. Currently each site runs full EIGRP and is a EIGRP neightbor to all the other sites. Everything is working fine right now.
We would like to upgrade the R5 site to a 3750x stack with IP Base (cheaper than IP Services) and configure it as EIGRP Stub. My concern is with the following statement in the IOS command reference guide.
Note Multi-access interfaces, such as ATM, Ethernet, Frame Relay, ISDN PRI, and X.25, are supported by the EIGRP Stub Routing feature only when all routers on that interface, except the hub, are configured as stub routers.
We have a deployment of 400 store. Each of those have 2 GRE tunnels running over MPLS & 2 GRE Tunnels running over Internet leading to our 2 data-centers. At each Data-Center, we have 1 ASR-1002 connecting both MPLS & Internet MPLS tunnels (800 total per router).
I saw in the documentation that OER & PfR cannot support more than 20 external interface (in our case GRE tunnels) per MC. Does it means that we need to have 20 routers acting as MC to be able to use PfR for our Internet GRE tunnels ?
Is there any more scalable solution for this ? How big company address this issue when they have a lot of interface to run PfR ?
I have LMS3.2 running and have set up daily log rotation of my SYSLOG file via Common Services-Server-Admin-Log Rotation. In LMS2.6 I set this up from the command line and was able to set the number of rotations to 120. I found in LMS3.2 setting up the rotation via the GUI that the number of rotations is limited to 90.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have 2 Hubs (Cisco 7200 - 2 for redudancy). Every customer have a Spoke (Cisco 881). The Spokes are 24/24 connected to the 2 hubs (2 dmvpn tunnels) to give us the access to our equipments of monitoring and for support. Every Spoke have a NAT table with a specific NAT range for every Spoke. Like this we can reach every devices with a unique IP inside the VPN.For example:
- Spoke_001 have a NAT IP range of 10.80.0.0 255.255.254.0
- Spoke_002 have a NAT IP range of 10.80.2.0 255.255.254.0
...
To connect to the hubs with our laptops, we are using the Cisco VPN client. We have different profiles created in the hubs:
- Admin profile with an ACL that allow the connectivity to every Spoke
- Integrator profiles: that allow the connectivity of one integrator to some defined Spokes.
So the integrator profile looks like this in the hub

The problem is that if we can't summarize an ACL in less than 50 lines, we will have to create a second profile and to know wich one to use for wich network...

I recently built my gaming PC and everything works great. Except for when i try to use my wifi. Usually my wifi is really fast, but recently its been really slow or not even detecting my network. I tried disconnecting my modem and router but it still had no effect on the performance of my WiFi.

My whole LAN operates on 172.16.x.x/16, there are no 192.168.x.x devices connected. In the past I've had 192.x.x.x devices running but for a long time and the router has been restarted since then. I've tried several clear commands in the terminal but this entry is stuck there and I've also seen it in a wireshark scroll on a pc when monitoring the routers' adsl traffic - it shows up an an SNMP entry and I do use SNMP on my router, but that data goes to a 172.16.x.x. machine. How can I clean this entry out?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a Cisco 2651XM at the edge of our network, which routes our public IP block. This sits on a 100 Mbit/s ethernet pipe (full duplex) up in the datacenter. We are also running 100mb full duplex on our our side of the network. We have several public servers behind the router.
We have recently set-up a new Apple OS X Lion Server to serve a few websites. However, when downloading some files from the server the from a remote location, I noticed I can only get a maximum of 15 Mbit/s out of the connection.
When downloading a large file over HTTP (Apache) from this OS X Lion server from another server on the same internal network (behind the router), we get a full 100 Mbit/s transfer speed.
However, when we download the same file from anywhere on the internet (external side of the router), we can only manage to get 15 Mbit/s out of the transfer.
However, we also have other Linux & Windows servers that we can achieve a full 50 Mbit/s (our office connection speed) externally under the same network conditions.
So it also appears it's only for a single connection - not a limitation for the whole server. If I open two HTTP connections, I can get say 15 Mbit/s out of each transfer - totalling 30 Mbit/s... if that makes sense.
Update: I also notice slower ping latency when pinging from outside the network. Most of the servers reply in 15ms while the new OS X server usually takes over 40ms on average.

I have some tunnels which terminate to my home router. I'm allowing the other ends of the tunnels to use my voice setup. I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.
We just installed a Cisco ME-3400EG switch at one of our sites. A Cisco C3750X switch is connected to the 3400. When we run the command CDP NEIGHBORS, the 3400 shows no devices. We can access the 3750 via the 3400. Also, when we run CDP NEIGHBORS on the 3750 we do not see the 3400 (but other devices are displayed). How can we get CDP to display the devices on the 3400? We have already tryed CDP RUN.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwe're running 4 c4500 Switches at 2 sites connected to each other via Layer-2 crypto boxes and VPLS in a point-to-multipoint configuration which ist completely transparent (it's more or less like connecting them via a Hub - every switch sees the other 3 ones as neighbors). Our basic configs have udld globally enabled in aggressive mode. I wanted to disable that for the interfaces (routed ports) to the crypto boxes, because I don't want them in ErrDisabled for 5 minutes if there are connectivity problems in the VPLS-cloud (every switch also had 3 UDLD neighbors because of the P2MP configuration). In if-config mode I could do this simply with "udld port disable", but I thougt it would be better to run normal mode (not aggressive) to have the chance to use the UDLD show-commands. So I configured "udld port" for the affected interfaces.

With the cisco 2651XM I always got a max download of 400kb/sec but with the cheap router I was getting 580kb/sec. Clearly something is wrong with my cisco config, I put this down to the mtu setting, which in the cheap router wasn't shown but set to auto. I've tried different mtu settings in the cisco router (including 'no mtu' but never get more than 400Kb/sec.My isp indicates optimum mtu is 1500 but that doesn't produce any speed increase.What can I do here to get the cisco router working to maximum speed?

I use the following config to export traffic from the adsl card to a fasterthernet port so I can look at the adsl traffic in wireshark on a pc:router(config)#ip traffic-export profile my_rite router(conf-rite)#int FastEthernet 0/0 router(conf-rite)#bidirectional router(conf-rite)#mac-address abcd.efgh.ijkl (mac address of PC) router(conf-rite)#exit router(config)#int dialer0 router(config-if)#ip traffic-export apply my_rite this config works and I can see stuff going on in wireshark but it's only one way. This config only shows traffic going out from my adsl card, but no incoming. There is defintely traffic going both ways because everything about my adsl connection is working perfectly. I've tried using a different fastethernet port, even tried exporting to a different pc but all I see is outgoing ie: source is my public ip address but never as destination . I have bidirectional in the config but it still only shows outgoing. I even tried a different IOS (c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T8.bin) but still it doesn't show incoming traffic. Could it be my ISP in some way hiding incoming traffic from view?

I have a cisco 2651xm router here at home, and at another remote location I have a cisco 1760 router, both are connected to the internet via adsl (WIC1-ADSL card).The problem is that from home I can't connect to the snmp-service on the 1760 router. I'm using a PC that's on the LAN of the 2651XM router, the blockage is in the 2651XM router, because if I swap it for a cheap plastic domestic router I can get snmp data from the 1760 router, and this is without any port forwarding in the domestic router. What config do I need on the 2651XM router so it will pass this traffic?

I have a 16 port hub (NM-16ESW) installed in this router. Is there a way to lock down this hub so that only whitelisted machines will be allowed to connect to its ports? ie: by mac address or some other type of permission method? How to be able to plug their computer into the hub and join the network unless their device has been ok'd first.
