Cisco WAN :: To Setup QOS On 3560s

May 27, 2013

I am replacing some WAN connections: Point to Point T1's (running from 2820's to a 7200).  I am replacing them with metro Ethernet connections with a 3560 layer 3 switch at each end.  We run Cisco Call Manager, and have IP phones at our locations.  I want to set up QOS on my WAN connection to make sure my packets arrive in the correct order.  I have a few remote users complaining of voice problems, crackling, etc.  The 3560's are acting as routers, and don't directly connect to all the phones.  So I won't be using the mls/auto QOS features, I don't think.  I am trying to use service-policies and class-maps to handle qos, as I have done in the past, but I'm not finding the correct commands.  This is the QOS I currently have set up on my 7200/2820

Cisco :: Catalyst 3560s / 3750s - EEM And TCL Script To Disable Inactive Ports

May 4, 2013

I've browsed around to the other  support strings to make sure I didn't miss anything, but I can't seem to  get this to work.  I have the latest sl_suspend_ports.tcl and  tm_suspend_ports.tcl created by Joseph Clarke from strings that verified they worked as planned.   Here are the commands I issued to register the scripts -

Directory of flash:/policies/
9  -rwx        3101   May 3 2013 07:58:03 +00:00  sl_suspend_ports.tcl
10  -rwx        4669   May 3 2013 07:58:44 +00:00  tm_suspend_ports.tcl
 conf t
event manager directory user policy flash:/policies
event manager policy sl_suspend_ports.tcl
event manager environment suspend_ports_days 1

[code].....

It doesn't appear to work though.  Essentially, we have a  need to make sure all computers are always on and all ports not active  for >24 hours to be shutdown and moved to a designated vlan (I added  the 'lappend' statement to the script to specify the additional command of assigning the vlan) I'm running 12.2(55)SE7 on Catalyst 3560s and 3750sIs there a way to manually run the script?  Did I miss anything in the configuration?

Cisco Routers :: QuickVPN Setup On RV120W Without Changing Internal Setup

Nov 8, 2011

Is there a way to set up Quick VPN on the RV120W without changing the internal subnet? I have just taken over responsibility for a network and I don't know all of the nooks and crannies yet, so I'd rather not change the internal sub net. I've tried setting up a user then changing the LAN settings afterward, but it automatically removed the VPN user when I did so.

When clicking that, it takes you to the login screen with MACHINEuser... Is there any way to make DOMAINuser default or even just automatically login since you've just logged in the VPN anyway?

Cisco :: Setup DMZ With All Public IPs

Apr 30, 2011

I'm trying to setup my DMZ so all my servers will have public IPs assigned to them. I'm currently trying to use two interfaces on each server, one with a private IP and then one with a public IP. All my internal traffic will go over the private interfaces...this is working. However, I'm having a problem trying to get it so the public interfaces work. Ultimately, these will be VM Hosts and have VM guests on them, each guest will have it's own public IP.

After following the basic setups from the CISCO site, I am still unable to create a tunnel. At the moment I'm starting to believe it is how I have physically setup the network. Site 1 is using a Billion BiPAC 7404VNPX ADSL2+ Modem, Site 2 is using a Netgear DGN2000 ADSL2+ Modem, The VPN Concentrators are setup behind these devices with each firewall setup to allow the needed ports forwarded.

Cisco :: Setup A Juniper VPN Into ASA 5520

Jan 25, 2012

I have a ASA 5520 with a functional IPSEC VPN using the Cisco VPN client. This allows my remote users (Staff) using laptops to come in from anywhere on the Internet and tunnel in. Works great.Next, we need to stand up a VPN over a Juniper SSG5 so that when we have groups working outside of our network, they can tunnel back into our network. If they were going to be coming from a known, fixed IP, or even netblock, we'd probably use Route-based setup from a Juniper SSG5 into the ASA 5520. But they may very well be coming from any IP. I am thinking this leads us to Site-to-Site VPNs- it won't be Network Client access obviously, nor will it be Clientless (browser-based).

2. Is it possible to check via SNMP, if the routers are reaching PUBLIC NTP 1 and PUBLIC NTP 2 for sync?
