Cisco :: Prime LMs 4.2.1 Installation Error
Jun 12, 2012We are getting the below mentioned error while installling Cisco Prime LMS 4.2.1 evaluation version on WIndows 2008 Enterprise R2.We tried installing on a high end VMware server .Prerequisites are all taken care by us.We are getting a LMS installation abort log saying that Swap space is not configured properly even after increasing the Paging size to 32 GB.Our physicalmemory is 16 GB.Hard drive has 2 partitions,one is 35 GB and other is 200 GB.

Oct 10, 2012On our NCS and now also on our recently upgraded Prime 1.2 we get the following error when doing a simple search in the search window at the top right of the screen:
There was an error while parsing and rendering the content. (Tried to register widget with id==mseLicenseInfoDialog but that id is already registered) This occurs whichever role you log in as and only happens on teh simple search, when using teh advanced search we do not see it.

May 9, 2013I'm currently running CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 on Windows 2003 under VMware and just got upgrade licensing for Prime Infrastructure 1.2. I am assuming that I will need to upgrade the current server to Prime LMS 4.2 in order to ensure that data migration to Prime Infrastructure goes well. I am planning to follow Cisco's recommendation to run Prime LMS and Prime Infrastructure in parallel for a time and migrate individual functions.
My real question is about Syslog handling. All of the managed devices are currently sending Syslog data to LMS. As a last step in the migration, is it possible to change the IP address of the Prime Infrastructure server to replace the Prime LMS server so that the Prime Infrastructure server will just start getting all the Syslog data, or do I need to go change hundreds of managed devices to point to a new address?

Vista Ultimate X86 - Error Setup Cannot Be Completed?
Oct 26, 2011I tried to do a a system recovery to my sis laptop a " emachine e620 " but the recovery cd didn't work so I used another vista cd the pc had " vista basic x86 " so I decided to install " vista ultimate x86 " everything was going fine until the pc said error setup cannot be completed I tried like 10 times so I decided to desable some devices and change the hard drive to in the bios to mointed I thik is call like that then the windows did a perfect install super fast now my problem is with the " network controller " I went to emachines drivers and support pick the rigth ones and my network controller still missing the drivers I can see the wifi saying on the screen off and on but not internet.

Apr 2, 2013I have just setup a new WLC 2504 controller to manage a WiFi service that will span 6 geographic locations. The local networks at each location are on different subnets (all 192.168.x.x) and are linked up via IPSEC VPN links, and there is Active Directory spanning the sites, with DNS and DHCP servers running at each location.
I tested the WLC at our main office with a single AP, and it worked fine. The AP set itself up, and wireless devices connect with no probs. Great! Yesterday I headed out to one of our remote sites, and connected an AP to their network - and that seemed to work fine too. Within a few minutes I was able to see the WiFi network I'd setup, and my smartphone connected to it straight away (as I'd rpeviously connected at the main office), so I was pretty happy that all was working well.
This morning however I've had notification that wifi performance at the remote site isn't great. I've got someone to check their ip address, and I've found that their IP address and default gateway match the LAN at the main office where the WLC is based - NOT the LAN where the wireless client is. Obvioulsy this is not ideal!
(I guess I HAVE done something wrong!?). And how can I get wireless clients at remote sites to pick up an IP from the DHCP server at THEIR site?

Nov 28, 2012A customer is asking to upgrade their LMS 3.0 to Prime 1.1. However, the customer or their previous system's integrator never actually installed LMS 3.0. The licensing and PAK were never used as well. My question is, can I still use the migration top level part # R-PI-1.1-UP-K9 to upgrade LMS 3.0 to Prime 1.1 because there was no licensing ever installed? How would the migration of the current licensing work with the new licensing PAK if that is the case? Or does the customer have to purchase a fresh Prime 1.1 licensing (top level part # R-PI-1.1-K9) because LMS 3.0 was never installed?

Apr 18, 2013I'm trying to migrate old data from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 ... I have already created the zip file from WCS and imported it into the defaultRepo on Prime. I see it in the directory when I do a show repository defaultRepo so I have confirmed that it is there. My issue is that it appears Prime 1.2.1.012 won't accept the cli command of ncs migrate.
how I can proceed with the migration? I haven't been able to find any similar command in the Prime CLI so at this point I'm lost as to where I should go from here. I really don't want to have to tell the customer they have to downgrade to Prime 1.1 in order for them to perserve their maps especially since the Deployment Guide for Prime Infrastructure states that it is possible to migrate date from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 as shown below ...
