My customer is using Cisco Works LMS 4.0 ( Product # : CWLMS-4.0-300-K9 ) and we they are willing to upgrade it to Cisco Prime LMS 4.2 (or latest version). as well as adding additional device licenses to become 750
I'm trying to restore backup after upgrading Cisco Prime v4.1 to v4.2. However, getting the following error in the log. [code] The log shows the error is a continuous one and affraid it may be a loop. Currently my restore progress is stuck at 70%RME restoration.[code]
I have upgraded NCS 126.96.36.199 to PI 1.2 lately. The installation process completed successfully. But now i am not able to log in to the GUI anymore as root. After entering the password all I get is a blank site (undefined).I get the same result with all known browsers. Rebooting or restarting NCS does not change anything.
after an upgrade of NCS 188.8.131.52 to CPI 1.2 on green field, it was not possible to reuse the GUI. During the upgrade, I''ve shortly seen an oracle DB error, but the upgrade was going through, without problems. At the end, it was not possible to use the GUI, and every trial to start the services was stopped with errors.I've found the following severe Bug ID's in the support forum: Bug CSCuc29378 Prime Infrastructure 1.2 won't start after a db restore/Upgrade from NCS184.108.40.206 Oracle DB bug as well: CSCtw59460.I see only a new installation from scratch (1.2) as solution, but the bug is not resolved in V1.2, as seen in the bug tool.
- As the customer has an v.1.0 license who worked with NCS 1.1.1, do I need an upgrade order to be able to activate an installation from the v 1.2 ova (new PAK)??
- I'm searching for a one year CPI partner license, because I heard about in some Cisco Live sessions, but I did not find a way to acces´s to it.
I have a client who has LMS 4.1 with SAS support, I know that I can upgrade him to the Prime infrastructure for LMS and NCS, however he is licensed for 100 devices. He also has WCS 7.0 with 50 AP licenses, I want to upgrade his LMS to Prime infrastructure and then migrate his WCS to NCS, but how do I know combine the both so that he is on one platform.
I'm currently running CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 on Windows 2003 under VMware and just got upgrade licensing for Prime Infrastructure 1.2. I am assuming that I will need to upgrade the current server to Prime LMS 4.2 in order to ensure that data migration to Prime Infrastructure goes well. I am planning to follow Cisco's recommendation to run Prime LMS and Prime Infrastructure in parallel for a time and migrate individual functions.
My real question is about Syslog handling. All of the managed devices are currently sending Syslog data to LMS. As a last step in the migration, is it possible to change the IP address of the Prime Infrastructure server to replace the Prime LMS server so that the Prime Infrastructure server will just start getting all the Syslog data, or do I need to go change hundreds of managed devices to point to a new address?
I have two Windows 7 computers and neither one will successfully upgrade a 1242 AP to LWAP. However, I go to a coworker's XP machine and run the tool without issues. On Windows 7 I keep receiving the error message of ACL or Firewall is blocking. I have added rules and then even tried disabling the firewalls completely on both computers and still no success.
Is it possible to upgrade the CSACS-1121-UP-K9 to be a non upgrade part? We were going to upgrade from a Windows 4.x to the above Appliance (version 5.x) but there is now a reason to keep the old Windows version running therefore we cannot give the new Appliance the old ACS's licenses?!So we should have (with hindsight) bought a fresh version of the ACS 5.x rather than an upgrade.
I am using Prime LMS 4.2.2 software to archive configuration for my cisco Network Device switch and firewall . All works fine except for two new Cisco ASA 5525 and ASA 5545 ( Software Version 220.127.116.11 ) . I have already checked credential , ssh access , snmp configuration and all seem correct. But Archive configuration job end with failure. This is the error message:
Will Cisco LMS Prime 4.1 be getting a map module, so you are able to see a graphical map of up and down status of devices? I know the topology map is a module within LMS, but what would be nice to see is a graphical map, where you are able to manipulate the icons to place them on that status map.
I am currently running NCS 18.104.22.168 and trying to upgrade to prime 1.3, but running into some issues, i applied the patch ncs_patch-22.214.171.124-upgrade-12.tar.gz, but when i try to acutally upgrade i get the following...
admin# application upgrade PI-upgrade-bundle-126.96.36.199.tar.gz defaultRepo Save the current ADE-OS running configuration? (yes/no) [yes] ? Generating configuration... Saved the ADE-OS running configuration to startup successfully (code)
A customer is asking to upgrade their LMS 3.0 to Prime 1.1. However, the customer or their previous system's integrator never actually installed LMS 3.0. The licensing and PAK were never used as well. My question is, can I still use the migration top level part # R-PI-1.1-UP-K9 to upgrade LMS 3.0 to Prime 1.1 because there was no licensing ever installed? How would the migration of the current licensing work with the new licensing PAK if that is the case? Or does the customer have to purchase a fresh Prime 1.1 licensing (top level part # R-PI-1.1-K9) because LMS 3.0 was never installed?
I'm trying to migrate old data from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 ... I have already created the zip file from WCS and imported it into the defaultRepo on Prime. I see it in the directory when I do a show repository defaultRepo so I have confirmed that it is there. My issue is that it appears Prime 1.2.1.012 won't accept the cli command of ncs migrate.
how I can proceed with the migration? I haven't been able to find any similar command in the Prime CLI so at this point I'm lost as to where I should go from here. I really don't want to have to tell the customer they have to downgrade to Prime 1.1 in order for them to perserve their maps especially since the Deployment Guide for Prime Infrastructure states that it is possible to migrate date from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 as shown below ...
Data Migration # Data can be migrated from WCS 7.0, NCS 1.1, or LMS 4.x. More details on migrating data from each of these applications are spelled out in the following sections.
my customer is using Cisco Prime 4.1 as an Upgrade from LMS 4.0 and has made a discovery of a new added Cat 4506E with a Sup 7E and Modules. All the devices have been discovered, excepted the module WS-X4712-SFP+E.Is this card not supported yet ?I could not find any detailled and actual information about the support or not of this module, or about the conditions for the Module support it in Prime 4.1..How ist it possible to proceed to having this module discovered ?
We have installed the Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 in our production environment. We have configured SMTP settings, but unable to find where we can configure username and password for SMTP authentication. It's only giving a option to enter email address without any authentication parameters.
WCS 7.0 to Prime Infrastructure 1.2 migration?I am so confused on the migration procedure as I found the documents in Cisco kind of contradictory. Some document said it is required to upgrade WCS to NCS 1.1 before to go to prime infrastructure 1.2.And the other document said WCS can directly upgrade to prime infrastructure 1.2.
