View 8 RepliesI am getting "an error occurred while reconnecting...etc" when a previously successful drive mapping suddenly does not work. The short answer is to disconnect, then re-map the drives, but that is a real pain when you are accessing the same shares all day, and it seems to drop out whenever it feels like it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a Dell Vostro 220s running Windows XP with an integrated NIC. It had a few hundred viruses on it and after removing them, I can't get an internet connection. The icon says connected with 0 packets sent and 0 packets received. DHCP is enabled and other computers on the network can connect to the internet. The drivers are installed and detected as working properly. I have rebooted also, with no luck. Ipconfig fails with the error "An Internal error occurred: The request is not supported."

About 3 PCs in the office are connected to the office server through wireless connection (including mine), and another 3 are connected through a wired connection. My connection to the server doesn't work at times. I get an error message that "An error occurred while connecting to . The network path was not found." The other PCs using the network have no problem connecting to the server. Also, the internet connection is shared from the server and I have no trouble with it. The problem is only with accessing the shared folder on the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOS: Windows Vista Home Premium?Trying unsuccessfully so far to reconnect a client machine to a wireless network that it has been on for a year or so.ISP was down for about 2 hours the other day and when it came back up, the client machine started getting the IP address conflict. Went in to release and renew and got the following error messages:
on release: An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection: An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.
on renew: The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address.
The next thing I tried was to go in an give a manual IP address to the Wireless Adapter. But the TCP/IP properties are greyed out and I receive the following error message:Some of the controls on this property sheet are already open. To use these controls, close all these property sheets and then reopen this one.
trying to export WCS data in order to migrate to the NCS but getting bellow error messages while following the Exporting WCS data doc:

The procedure i am tring to follow:
To export WCS data, follow these steps:
#Step 1 Stop the WCS server.
#Step 2 Run the export command through the script file and provide the path and export file name when prompted.
#Step 3 For Linux, run export.sh all /data/wcs.zip. For Windows, run export.bat all datawcs.zip.
I do have enough available space, the WCS runs as VM

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am able to connect to firefox internet but when I try to log in to my Yahoo Messenger or iTunes store it tells me that my internet connection timed out. I try to connect to Internet Explorer and it will not connect to the web there. I have went into the tools box in Internet Explorer and clicked on internet option and than connection and I was going to try to change the proxy server LAN and when I would go into it to change that I would be able to find the address to put in but can not figure out what the port section is. I am using a wireless connection and it shows that i have connection even when I try the troubleshooting section that checks the connection and it tells me that there is no problem with it. I also tried restarting my wireless router and than restarting my computer which did not work.
Than I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to internet and still nothing. When I would login to my Yahoo Messenger and pushed the troubleshooter bottom it says, "We are not able to make a connection to the Internet. One of the following may be true: You're not connection to the Internet. Check cables, modems, routers, etc; Your Windows Internet options including the Windows Firewall settings are incorrect.; There is a problem with your Windows network settings, for example, the DNS settings in your Internet Protocol (IP) settings are incorrect or the DNS server is specified incorrectly or is not responding.; For more information, check the Windows online help and search for terms like "DNS" or "Firewall."

I have a cat 3750 switch with the folowing snmp v3 config:

-snmp-server user lmsadmin admin v3 auth md5 password1 priv aes 256 password2
The credentials on the device in LMS are as folowing:

When I run a credentials verification job, I get the following error message:
Error performing SNMP operation.
I have tried this on LMS version 4.0 and 4.1 with the same result.
i've the following problem. Check device credential verification job shows "Error performing SNMP operation" for a cisco 3750 configured with snmpv3.On the switch i can see that the lms can access the switch via snmpv3. Also cisco view works fine. Bug CSCsm89609 describe the problem but it should be fixed in RME 4.3. We are running 4.3.1.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've set up a USB drive to be shared via the router (tried both a fat32 and an NTFS drive). When I login from a windows machine I can use the share point without any problems. When I try to use it from a Mac (mounted via smb://192.168.1.1/sharepoint) I can access the folders and download files. I can even create folders. When I try to copy a file onto the share point (normal file name, small file size) I get an error saying "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items." The console log says: "7/3/09 1:01:06 AM kernel smbfs_composeacl: smbfs_setattr 13, ignored "
If I try to copy the file directly via a terminal window I see this:

As I see it there is a problem with leopard trying to set permissions when copying and the router refusing. How to get this to work?
I had been working on our client servers through Cisco VPN using internet datacard. But from past 3 weeks after logging into Cisco VPN using my username/password, when I try to connect to any of the servers, it is giving connection timed out error.
Whereas, my team members across other locations are able to connect to the servers using my VPN username/password.
I thought there might be some issue with my laptop or internet datacard. I got my laptop formatted, even tried out with fresh new laptops & new internet datacards, but the issue remains same.
I have tried using vpn_5.0.06.0160-k9 & vpnclient-5.0.05.0290-k9 to connect but issue did not get resolved.
I got this error this operation returned because the timeout period expired error code 0x000005b4
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 different network topology - network A and network B Both of them are connecting to the same gateway (a firewall) to the net. they're using the same range of public IP pool to NAT the private IPs. in shorts, all setup is almost the same except the devices' brand between A and B.I have no problem to access the webpage using network A. But whenever I attach the same laptop to network B, the same page won't display at all.I've done wiresharking to network B and the result shows "ICMP destination unreacheable (Communication administratively filtered)" which reported by unknown device (suspected to be the webpage's gateway).

We are trying to install the latest version of Nexus 1000v to ESXi5.1 and the installer application is much better than the previos one, but we are having problems with implemetation, because deploying of OVA file times out.
First attempt: Nexus-1 was successfully deployed on ESXi-1, but Nexus-2 which should be deployed on ESXi-2 returned an error: "Deploy OVF template":"Operation timed out." Second attempt: Deploying of Nexus-1 returned the same error Third attempt: The same as the first attempt.
It looks like that there is a time limit which is used for deploying OVA file and since file needs to be uploaded to ESXi it takes too long, so the installation fails. Is it possible to extend this time?
The router 1841 is connected directly to the layer switch. the network diagram is below:

i'm currently studying at a college which has a website with a student intranet that is available to log in from any computer. So far it has been working well and I can log in on my home laptop and upload documents and look at presentations etc. Today for no reason when I try and log in I get the message Error Code 500: Internal Server Error and the webpage does no appear.I have had no problems previously and this has only happened today and yesterday, I went down to the college and accessed the website fine from the computers in the library but still no joy from my home computer.

I was searching for a solution and I fixed the problem, the internet connection on my PS3 was working only for about a day. Later I started to get the 80130182 error, I tried to reset my modem and my PS3, I have unplugged everything and I plugged it back in, still didn't work. My laptop is experiencing internet problems. I cannot connect wirelessly. It says I'm connected and my strength is excellent, but when I open google chrome i get Error 105 (ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED) unable to resolve the server's DNS address. I tried reloading and changing the settings as it says the issue might be also restarted the laptop numerously and still nothing happens.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two computers connected to DSL with a modem and a 4 port ethernet switch.Only one computer is on the switch at the moment because the other is getting parts repaired. About a month or two ago, we had problems with our ISP because the main tower in town was having work done so connections were spotty.With the work being done for a month, I've still been having problems and I am not sure if it's related to my ISP or modem/ethernet port or what. I got this error when connecting: TCP/IP CP reported error 738: the server did not assign an address. It took around 10 redials for it to connect. I've gotten this error before (along with other errors I don't recall as it's been awhile) and my internet will randomly slow way down.
I just had an svchost.exe error that I got resolved via the techsupportforum virus section, where my computer would freeze when trying to connect, and I hadn't had any connecting errors for awhile. But now that the infections are gone, I am getting errors again. It seems quite odd.I rent a modem from my ISP and it stopped working before so I got a new one. They said I had hit the reset button on their modem and that was probably my problem and could have also messed up my ethernet switch. So I'm wondering if that is an issue also, as I am using the same switch with a new modem.

View 4 Replies View Relatednetworking error which seems to make no sense to me, i have computer 1 (tower computer) computer 2 (laptop computer 3 (tower computer1 & 2 have networked happily together for 4-5 years, sharing files and printers both ways. 3 was connected and happily joined the network but only with 2. 1 can see files on both 2 & 3, have now disconnected 3, have reset and rebooted router and both computers are up to date with software patches, i can not work out why 2 (or 3 before it was disconnected) can see 1 on the workgroup but can not access 1 in any way. i can, however, copy a shortcut from 1 through metwork places into 2 and access those files from 2. but network wizard or manual setting can not get full sharing.
