I have a PS3 and I just got wireless internet. I was excited to update games and such and I knew it would be fast because both are close together. Every time I get done downloading one update, it gives me an error and I've found it to be dmz.

About 3 PCs in the office are connected to the office server through wireless connection (including mine), and another 3 are connected through a wired connection. My connection to the server doesn't work at times. I get an error message that "An error occurred while connecting to . The network path was not found." The other PCs using the network have no problem connecting to the server. Also, the internet connection is shared from the server and I have no trouble with it. The problem is only with accessing the shared folder on the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOS: Windows Vista Home Premium?Trying unsuccessfully so far to reconnect a client machine to a wireless network that it has been on for a year or so.ISP was down for about 2 hours the other day and when it came back up, the client machine started getting the IP address conflict. Went in to release and renew and got the following error messages:
on release: An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection: An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.
on renew: The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address.
The next thing I tried was to go in an give a manual IP address to the Wireless Adapter. But the TCP/IP properties are greyed out and I receive the following error message:Some of the controls on this property sheet are already open. To use these controls, close all these property sheets and then reopen this one.
I'm trying to open certain websites but the browser gives me this message: "Network Error (tcp_error) A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out" The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

The short answer is to disconnect, then re-map the drives, but that is a real pain when you are accessing the same shares all day, and it seems to drop out whenever it feels like it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a Dell Vostro 220s running Windows XP with an integrated NIC. It had a few hundred viruses on it and after removing them, I can't get an internet connection. The icon says connected with 0 packets sent and 0 packets received. DHCP is enabled and other computers on the network can connect to the internet. The drivers are installed and detected as working properly. I have rebooted also, with no luck. Ipconfig fails with the error "An Internal error occurred: The request is not supported."

The procedure i am tring to follow:
To export WCS data, follow these steps:
#Step 1 Stop the WCS server.
#Step 2 Run the export command through the script file and provide the path and export file name when prompted.
#Step 3 For Linux, run export.sh all /data/wcs.zip. For Windows, run export.bat all datawcs.zip.
I do have enough available space, the WCS runs as VM
I can not download anything especially my games and it will freeze up or crash when I try to download or click on anything some one will send to me.

I drove last night to my mother's house and proceeded to connect to her own wifi router wirelessly. Although my sister's computer that's on windows 7 connects ably, and both our iPhones connect, my computer will not. My computer finds the network( it is unsecured without a password if that makes a difference ) connects, receives an ipv4 address in ipconfig, yet does not obtain Internet access. It labels the network as an "unidentified network".

But i could only manage to setup 'one way' - the XP Home could access the Windows 7 Ultimate but not the other way Whenever i double click on the XP Home, it will prompt me to login. But no matter what i enter, it will say its wrong. What weird is the 'domain'. The login dialog will show that im login into 'Domain: Windows7PC' when im trying to login into the XP. And after i have enter 'wrongly', it will show the username as 'Windows7PCusername' and ask to try again - it means im login into the Windows 7 And if i try to prefix the PC's name in front - \WindowsXPusername then it will prompt \WindowsXP is not accessible..... The specified username is invalid

I started having this stupid problem after i built my first computer, in my old computer it was all fine, am using an ethernet cable between my pc and laptop, it is crossed or whatever its called, when i plug it in it gievs me an error, limited connection or no connectivity which pisses me off, i have all the drivers installed everything is up to date.. sometimes it connects, but after 10 mins it disconnects again, and sometimes it works fine until i reboot my pc..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Time Warner Cable business class service with no static IP, with a wireless modem which is plugged to a CAT5 distribution panel. On the jacks (2 other rooms on the house) I have a Linksys E3000 and a Linksys Valet router for signal boost and gadgets usage (TV, cameras, etc).The main router (TWC) has it's own external IP which TWC assigns to me and internally distributes via DHCP the range 192.168.0.x. With that said:
- The E3000 has a 192.168.0.6 IP -- this is fixed setup on the TWC router (ubee brand) by MAC address
- The Valet has a 192.168.0.7 IP -- this is fixed setup on the TWC router (ubee brand) by MAC address
- The main router has the 192.168.0.1 as the gateway and web-interface
Whenever I connect something to the E3000, it is distributing the 192.168.1.x range and the valet 192.168.2.x range.That works perfectly for my home based business until I decided to use more stuff on the network such as a IP printer, IP cameras, etc.
- The IP cameras are connected to the E3000 due to signal strength and I have manually assigned them the 192.168.1.15 and 192.168.1.16 IPs and ports 9001 and 9002.
- The printer is connected to the E3000 and I have manually assigned the IP 192.168.1.30.
Issue 1: Port forwarding On the main router (TWC - UBEE) I have tried to setup a port forwarding by informing the Local IP as 192.168.0.6 (E3000 IP), Internal Port 0, Public Interface IP (0.0.0.0), Ext Start Port 9001, Ext End Port 9001, Protocol - Both, Enabled Yes. On the E3000 I did the same config (screen shot attached e3000.png).This is not working properly. I can't get into the camera.
Issue 2: Printer/ The printer is only accessible if I connect to the E3000 (because it is on the 192.168.1.x network)
Issue 3: How to configure all the devices on the same subnet? If I want everyone to be on the 192.168.0.x network, how to configure properly the E3000 and the Valet? I have tried to force them into the same network but it would not work properly. It would not get an IP from the UBEE router (main).

I want to get the modem and router out of my computer room and in the basement where the cable enters the house. I want to do this to clean up the computer room wiring a bit and to run line drops to different rooms in the house where the internet will be utilized.Currently there are two PC's, a laptop, a tablet, sometimes a phone, and an XBOX using the internet. I want to get my printer back up and running on the network but thats another story. Only one PC is currently hardwired. I would like to run two cables into the room with the PC and XBOX that are currently using wireless, at least two into the computer room for the PC and network printer, and one or two into the living room for the blue ray player and possibly an internet tv.

They can reconnect after a WLC reboot....
We have swapped APs.....
I have seen this error in other forums but it says not to worry about it. There has to be a connection between this and clients getting disconnected. We have anywhere between 10-50 clients on the system at any one time.Is this a client issue (nic firmware, version) or is this an error in the controller??

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have setup a webserver on my home PC and I have forwarded port 80 on my router to the IP adress of the PC that is running the web server. The web server is working great; I can get to my web pages from outside of my home by going to http://MyIpAddress/Anyway, the problem is with the Windows Media Player plugin I'm using. I want to embed 6GB MPEG-2 videos into my web pages. I have some videos on my PC and I want to be able to watch them remotely by connecting into my web page. It works fine when I'm at home; other PCs can connect and play the videos no problem. The problem is when I'm at work. When I'm at work, I go to my web page (via my IP address in a web browser) and the Media Player plugin says "Connecting" for a minute, then it says Ready, but the video will not play. I tried using a smaller, AVI file (680 MB) instead to see if the problem was streaming such a large file, but the video still would not play.Do I need to foward more ports on my router so that Windows Media Player can connect back and get the information it needs?
