View 2 RepliesI have a requirement to preserve markings end to end across a network utilising 3750X switches, I am marking the packets without a problem, but due to the rewriting function the marking is being overwritten by ther COS-->DSCP maps.To simplify the scenario I have set up a test environment (see Diagram) and am using ICMP as a simple test using ICMP to test with Both 3750 have 12.2(35)SE5 3750-1

I have used wireshark to verify that the packets are being marked, with the' mls qos rewrite ip dscp' they are, without rewriting does not occur.Moving my sniffer to the 3750-2 I am monitoring the Layer3 connection (marking preserved), however on the layer 2 trunk the marking has been reset to 0 , if I remove the 'mls qos rewrite ip dscp' from 3750-2 then I see the marking on the layer 2 trunk, however I am then unable to remark anything generated on this switch. I believe with the 'mls qos rewrite ip dscp' enabled the L3 to L2 transistion removes the IP DSCP sets the COS to 0 and themnthe COS to DSCP mapping ensures the DSCP is set back to 0.I have tried implementing additional marking policies on 3750-2 but to no avail.What I need is ensuring that that a frame / packet marked in 3750-1 can keep it's marking to the end system over layer 3 and a layer 2 trunk. The only place I wan t the marking to be stripped off is when the dot1q tag is removed as it goes through an access port.
We an 887m router in our office with an unmanaged switch. We have two networks, 192.168.0.x and 192.168.11.x connected to router on the same interface (192.168.11.253 is a secondary ip) but I can seem to be able to route packets from one network to the other. Internet traffic is fine from both networks. I can't see what I'm doing wrong here. I can ping the 192.168.11.253 (router) from the 192.168.0 network but nothing beyond that.
I tried this at home with no other config and its the same. Is this by design?
I have two network card in my server and they are connected with different network and we are sharing data between them, but i dont know how, how to transfer data between these two different network.

I'm trying to figure out how to do this with a minimum of setup and post-processing. I'm also an audio guy, so I understand a lot of the tech issues. I had was to use a USB mic connected to USB to LAN converter to connect it to a computer that was authenticated on the network, and have recording software write the audio file to the server. I'm using a Windows Server 2008 with Domain-based authentication. The network is running through a Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch.

Except on the site where the controller is installed, all other APs are configured in FlexConnect mode through our MPLS network to prevent roundtrip for local communications (local client to local server for example).
Because of important slowness on one site where 8 APs are installed, we captured the traffic going in and out of our MPLS router and we discovered that the APs are consuming about 150kbits/s each in one-way communications with the controller (controller to APs), even when nobody is present (the capture was done this sunday).
Could you confirm me if this behaviour is normal or not ? What could explain such a large amount of data between the controller and the APs ?
I'm trying to get a node in SVI1 on VRF1 to speak to another node in SVI2 on VRF2 to reach each other. After hours of failure, I went to outside resources. Everything I read on the internet says it's not possible on this platform and at least one TAC engineer seems to agree.
I just can't believe such a high-end data center switch is not capable of handling such a basic feature.
I have an ASA 5510 attached to 2 internal networks. Everything is working except communications between the 2 internal interfaces.I can ping the FW from either interface and I can ping hosts on both networks from the CLI but can't get any traffic to pass.I'd like to open the connection to all traffic. In this setup I’ve enabled port forwarding on my ADSL router (port 25 and 110) and configured the ASA accordingly, and my mail server is located inside my network.
My problem is currently I can send mails from my inside network to outside but my not receiving any mails which originate from outside. I’ve attached my current ASA configuration as well,

How to configure ASA not to drop packets with ip option 7 (record route)? According to the docs, ip inspect ip option will drop all ip option packets except 0,1,and 20 (EOOL, NOP, or RTRALT):
"If an IP header contains additional options other than EOOL, NOP, or RTRALT, regardless of whether the ASA is configured to allow these options, the ASA will drop the packet. "
Also, policy-map type inspect ip-options treats only these 3.
I experinced critical problem for our customer service pertaing to communication fail for FT between FWSMs.
I can just find the log in FWSM as follows and can't find any physical log as interface down in C6500 at that moment.Now our FWSM OS version is 3.2(7) and jsut monitor-interface option is applied at outside interface in FWSM.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe just moved into a new apartment. In our old place, we had Comcast cable internet with a modem and our wireless router worked fine. Now with Hotwire, we can't get the router to work. Here are the details:
-We can plug our computer directly into the ethernet cable outlet in the wall and it connects.
-We didn't get a modem from Hotwire.
-Wireless router: Linksys WRT54G
We've tried already to change router back to default factory settings. Didn't work. We reset our passwords for the router. Didn't work. Tried to put in the MAC address of the computer and it didn't seem to work. We originally were able to connect a computer to the internet through the router sometimes but just the wireless section didn't work.
When I view my DCS-932L camera in the Main Console of DViewCam, I can here the sounds in the room being viewed. But if I record the video and play it back, there is no audio on the playback. I have the microphone on the camera enableI now have sound recording, however, the audio is about 3 seconds behind the video. Is there a setting somewhere to keep them synchronized? I have checked all the video sync checkboxes I can find.
