D-Link DIR-615 :: When Connects Pc Using A Vpn Service Line Speed Cuts Down
Nov 20, 2011First-I use a vpn service.I had a netgear router connected to my main computer and had no problems at all.I got rid of the netgear router connected the DIR-615 to my main pc.Configured the router,and everything works ok.I get a signal anywhere in the house,and speeds are fine,as far as the laptop.I dont use a a vpn service on the laptop.Just the regular cable connection.No problems at all.I have my main pc hard-wired to the router.When I connect my main pc using a vpn service my line speed its cut down 80%.I had my main pc connected to a netgear router with nothing else,and my vpn service worked fine.I dont understand why my main pc is not working with the vpn service.The only configuration I did was to forwarded a port to utorrent,and that was not a problem.It works,and port is open.The problem is my speed is cut by 80%.

Apr 5, 2011I'm running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit on a Dell Inspiron 1545, using a wireless connection with a Verizon FIOS router and service, and for the past several months or so, my internet speed will just halt from time to time. It's not a sudden stop either, I'll be able to inform people I'm talking with that it's happening, and soon I'm unable to download or upload any information from anywhere. I'm signed out of instant messengers, disconnected from servers, and I can't load webpages.The downtime will last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, and it will gradually return. No torrenting is going on, no downloads are happening anywhere on my network (as far as I know), I just have to wait it out. From time to time, there are even two in a row, having a few seconds of internet access before it's gone again.
I've included screen captures of some tracerts I've done during this 'lag spike' thing. I actually apparently time out to my own router. I honestly didn't think that was even possible.I have plenty of HDD space, no processes begin taking up incredible amounts of memory, everything looks as though it should be working fine. No other computers on my network have this issue, neither the wired one or the wireless ones. Disconnecting and reconnecting to my router during these times will not stop it, I will reconnect and still be unable to access the internet.I can't seem to find any solution for it. My antivirus programs don't find anything, and nothing else is happening that leads me to believe it's some form of malware, though I definitely won't rule that out.

Jan 4, 2012While searching the web, watching movies, or doing something randomly on my laptop which runs Windows Vista, I seem to randomly disconnect from my internet and it will soon reconnect a minute later. I currently have Comcast High Speed internet as my ISP and my router is a D-Link DIR-628. It mostly happens when i'm watching a video or something to that extent. I'm assuming it has to do with bandwidth? I am not completely sure though.

Internet Randomly And Frequently Cuts Out?
Sep 6, 2012I have an acer aspire 5536 laptop and it will randomly disconnect from the wireless internet. Everything will be working fine but as soon as I try to load two things at once (or sometimes even one big thing) it will show that little yellow exclamation mark and say no access to internet even though it is still connected to the network. The other computers connected to the wireless work fine with no access issues so I know it is not the router. Also this happened in my previous home where I used wireless but from a different provider so it is definitely something wrong with the computer. Every time it goes to no internet access if I disconnect and then reconnect it works again.

Apr 6, 2012In my house we have ADSL2 Bigpond broadband internet and a Thomson TG782T modem/router and its been in my brother's room for a while and lately I've really been noticing the slow internet so I moved the modem/router to the kitchen as I figured it would give everyone an equal connection.The modem has a cable that goes to a DSL splitter and there is also a cable that goes from the phone to the splitter. On the other side of the splitter is a cable that goes to the wall socket. The cables that go from the phone and modem/router are short and the one from the splitter to the wall socket is quite long. The modem/router and the phone are right next to each other.I was playing COD on the Xbox and I noticed that at the time my Mum was on the phone I got the disconnect message. The connection kept settling but then a second later disconnecting and this happened frequently until she hung up the phone.

Jun 20, 2011Im on Windows 7 Ultimate, I have Netgear N600 and a motorola and all the lights are on but when I lose connectivity to my internet, everything looks fine light wise. My whole family connects to the wireless in my house and when the internet goes down, they too, are effected. The internet would be running for a few minutes and then sadly go down for a minute then come back up. This has been happening more and more lately and its come to a point where I'm sick and tired of trying to fix it myself. Its very aggravating to be surfing the web and one point and then seeing the oh so nice "Firefox cannot connect to your internet" screen. I play World of Warcraft, as of right now, its unplayable. I'm stressing because its just a hug hassle. The Motorola and the Netgear are fairly new and I don't seem to think that would be the problem.

Internet Randomly Cuts Out And Lag Spikes Only Desktop
Feb 25, 2013While I download things it randomly drops to very low (3kbs) or randomly just stops completely, usually download is around 300kb/s+ and this only happens on my (homebuild) desktop, every other laptop/computer works fine. Also when playing online games (ex swtor) random lag spikes that last for minutes+ while the internet works just fine in browser. Whenever a problem occurs it always is fine just loading web pages, just downloads/online has problems.I have tried moving my computer around the house, trying wireless and lan and today i installed windows 7 64bit (was 32bit) hoping for a difference and still nothing. After this fresh install every driver is fully up to date. As the adapter only has wireless it would seem the problem also occurs with mobo (since plugged in for lan) Some bad connection in the case? edit Just open up the case everything is connected unless something is just broken.

Feb 28, 2012We have a situation where services are stopped on the real servers. The probes fail and we confirm the services are not running on the server. We cannot access the ports from the ACE directly. We can still however acces the VIP on the TCP port (L4 VIP class-map). So we can still telnet to the VIP on the port from thr Client side of the network.This is on ACE 20 Modules deployed in Routed mode. The version of software is A2(3.3).
Tried removing multi-match and loadbalance policies as well as class-map and re-applying then re-appyling the service policy to interface. Same behavior,This is a problem at another level as some services are being monitored by GSS via TCP keep-Alive and this obviuosly causes a problem as the service then never goes off-line.

Feb 3, 2013I fought with trying to hang two old BEFSR41 routers on an incoming TWC cable internet. I have a couple of streams going out and one coming in... and I think there are some collissions going on that cause little Urps in the streams. I thought I could put them on two different subnets. Ha. No luck at all so far. The scheme they gave me used a fixed IP and a subnet of 255.255.255.252... now I think I understand why TWC assigned a subnet of 255....252 - so I could only use ONE router. Their little toy is still routing, mine does it's thing.. that's it. In order to add another router and a totally different group of PC's on the same bandwidth... I'd have to get into their box and change the subnet scheme to something more open.. 255.....248, or maybe back down to 255...255.0 I guess..

I thought it was a fluke, but the day I brought the phone in, my computer started intermittently losing it's connection. If I turn the phone off, the connection comes back on. But what seems really odd to me is that if I right click on the wireless network icon it says I am connected and the strength of the signal is excellent. But then it says no internet access.
