Mar 25, 2013
I have a fresh installation of LMS 4.0 on windows server 2003, when i click to open topology i get error message : ANIServer service may be down or Host name isn't DNS resolvable
i tried pdshow -brief ANIServer ===> service UP
DNS is working using host file in driversetc i restarted the server
have ether-channel across 2 switches?i am new in cisco LMS . now i am in client site installing cisco LMS 4.1 in UCS server-rack version. we did it well for the installation, and the LMS working properly until i cannot open topology service.
When I create a service object or group and add the object to a new rule it never works.I mean the traffic match not the rule. I see not hits.I placed the rule on top of my access list to check if I do somethink wrong but it is not working. When I place only a service for example tcp/23 it is working.
We have a situation where services are stopped on the real servers. The probes fail and we confirm the services are not running on the server. We cannot access the ports from the ACE directly. We can still however acces the VIP on the TCP port (L4 VIP class-map). So we can still telnet to the VIP on the port from thr Client side of the network. This is on ACE 20 Modules deployed in Routed mode. The version of software is A2(3.3).
Tried removing multi-match and loadbalance policies as well as class-map and re-applying then re-appyling the service policy to interface. Same behavior,This is a problem at another level as some services are being monitored by GSS via TCP keep-Alive and this obviuosly causes a problem as the service then never goes off-line.
I have recently updated one of our customer's MSE to version 7.0.105. Now for some reason the Aeroscout service will not run. I have tried starting it manually , however it stops after 10 - 15 secs.
here is partial getserverinfo output
-------------Context Aware Sub Services------------- Sub Service Name: aeroscoutVersion: 3.2.0 - 4.0.14.14Description: AeroScout® Location Engine for RSSI and TDOA asset trackingRegistered: falseActive: false
The weird this is that I have updated our own MSE to 7.0.105 and didnt get this problem.
Can a PIX 501 6.3(4) establish a VPN to a provider such as [URL]? They claim to support PPTP and IPSEC/L2TP. If so, how would the PIX need to be configured?
I'm in the process of building a media server, and I mentioned to my wife that eventually we can record her shows in HD and get rid of the costs of having a dvr with our cable bill. I was doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that I may need to increase the budget for my build (which is extremely tight) and will not sit well with the wife. I'm using all older/recycled hardware, specs below:
AMD 4400+ asus a8n 32 sli delux mobo 2gb ddr ram 1tb samsung hdd antec 600w psu windows xp
I just read last night that I'll need at least xp pro in order to access my server (host?) remotely from say my parents house on a laptop (client?) Is there a workaround or some other program that I could use for windows environment. I'm considering linux for the server also but I've never used any form of linux before, so I fig'd, until I get the hang of setting up the server and having it working properly, maybe make the switch to linux later. The server will be hooked up to my ps3 which will stream movies/tv shows, and I'd like to be able to access my network to watch shows from a different location when I'm out of town.
"The service provider in your current location is restricting access to the InternetYou need to log on with the service provider before you can establish a VPN session. You can try this by visiting any website with your browser."We are using an Internal IP....and the external, same resultI am the IT Admin and this was working last week till I upgraded to the newer anyconnect. Internet is just fine....I am at a loss.
I have multiple VPN endpoints setup on our Cisco 2821, an SSL VPN, a site-to-site VPN, and a Web VPN for windows users. For whatever reason, the web vpn service periodically fails. The only way I've been able to bring it back up is to reload the router. Is it possible to restart the service itself?
Have customer that we need 3G at new location. Their company is an AT&T customer. So we have got from distribution a 881G and it has a PCEX-3G-HSPA-US card with it.What do you do or need to get AT&T service on this card. You call AT&T they don't know what your talking about if you say Cisco 3G card?I don't see a SIM slot which most AT&T device have a SIM card?Is there somewhere special you have to call for these to get service? Any checklist for ordering and also configuring for AT&T?FYI, we will do DHCP with it and it will be our backup ISP on and ASA if the primary internet goes down. We will just use a 172.30.x.x addressing between the ASA Outside-Backup interface and the 881G.
A few days ago we upgraded LMS to version 4. It worked fine, but after installing patches and updates from Cisco web, the web interface failed and we haven't been able to restore the service.
Service Temporarily Unavailable. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. [code]
I was having some troubles with the LMS client itself (Any job I started would run forever, never finish, never error out, just "running") so I rebooted the server and after a reboot the web interface show up with a "Service Temporarily Unavailable" "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later"
I just want to know if FTP service can be done without internet? I want to setup my file transfer locally just w/n the campus.. All resources will be centralized in one server..
I have a 6Mbps ADSL wired connection in my home (located right next to the apartment building) and plan to upgrade it to the maximum speed my ISP can offer. Any plan which include a list of hardware and software required and how to go about setting it up.
I have had DSL service for several years from a small, local ISP, that pays Verizon for the use of their lines. On 1/2/2012 in mid-morning I began experiencing lack of connectivity. I noticed that the "link" light on my DSL modem was blinking. I tried turning everything off & starting up again but to no avail. In the morning, I turned everything on again & for about 45 minutes my DSL service was perfect. Then it became intermittent & mostly unavailable.
I got two offices about 150KM from each other,i need to backup 10 to 20GB / machine, the data ranges from accounts package to doc files etc.i suggested a vpn, then backup from one side to the other and vice versa as this ensures backups are swapped over and are off site.Would you recommend this, or am i better off using a hosted backup service i pay for / GB?
I plan on moving to a new internet service provider within a few weeks time, and I have a question.I'm going with TekSavvy, and they have a DSL plan which is quite worth it, and I'm in need of a modem when I make the switch. I think I made up my mind on which modem I want, but I just need to know.. can I use ADSL2+ on the DSL service I am going to get?If you need to know what modem I'm going for, I'm going with "TP-LINK TD-W8960N, 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router"
1 Acer laptop with windows 7 home premium 1 MSI laptop with windows 7 ultimate 1 Hp Netbook with windows 7 starter 1 USB Broadband
First i had connect the USB Broadband using by acer laptop to make as wifi router/wifi host via ad hoc.MSI laptop and Hp Netbook was successfully connected and able to connected to the internet which share from Acer laptop.Second, after that i am trying to use MSI laptop to create as wifi router/wifi host just like the same way what i done with Acer laptop. My both Acer laptop and Hp Netbook successfully connect to MSI laptop but only the Acer laptop was unable to connect to internet and it was showing "No Internet access". and the "homegroup something it showing "Unidentified network" on the MSI laptop.I had tried to restart all the laptop and netbook to resetting it, unlucky it still unable to connecting to internet. Also i had set all to "Obtain an IP address automatically".And i found out that my laptop ICS on service didnt starting and on Firewall didnt have ICS on the list. When i try to click the start buttom it popping out this:"The Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"
I am trying to figure out how to setup quality of service on my network. At the moment i have computers connected to the PC port of my IP phone and the IP phone connected to the switch.I want the PC to stay on the default native VLAN and the phone to go on the VLAN 10I am using SNOM300 and SNOM360. I will configure the on the phone the VLAN ID and the priority. From my research, there are two ways that I can go about this on the port that is connected to the phone I canswitchport voice vlan vlan-idorswitchport voice vlan dot1pand then I will have to execute the commandmls qos trust cosmy question is which command do i use to configure the ports, and am I on the right track? Also, this is how I configure the ports that the IP phones are connected to, how do I configure the port that my Asterisk PBX server is connected to?
I am having issues (nothing new there) I have a bad IOS on a switch module, and the config is set to boot to that IOS, and as such I get a nasty boot loop, I am trying to figure out how to get into rommon but all the documentation I can find for this just says go into rommon and never tells me how to get there on a switch module that thinks it has a good IOS. (The IOS is for our normal service module but this one is an odd-ball switch)
I just added an HWIC-16A to a Cisco 2911 router for use as a Terminal Server.[URL]I've installed and configured the card properly. However, I receive the following error message:Attempt from Cisco CLI
I have an issue where I am trying to start my VPN and continually get the following message: Error 56: The Cisco Systems, Inc. VPN Service has not been started. Please start this service and try again.
So I have been into Services to 'start' Cisco Systems, Inc. VPN Services - this then always comes up with this error: Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
The solution mentioned on other posts on disabling the ICS but it was already disabled. When I try to start VPNGUI I also get error 56 and when I try to use services.msc to start the service I get error 1053. Then also when I try to start from task manager services(cvpnnd) i get access denied.
I have currently a Cisco 3600 router, it has three interfaces (all ethernet interfaces only). We being a client, our requirement is, we want two links one being the primary and one secondary for the fail over.My ISP has done certain configurations, but I am so puzzled what really has been done. I asked with them and they told that they have provided us one public IP 202.166.217.248 via Fibre--> Media Converter-->Ethernet 0/0.At the same time, they have given us a pool of addresses of the network 202.166.216.48/29 through the interface Ethernet 2/1.And we have used all the available public IPs in the server farm. They have told that, for the failover purpose via wireless, they have even used an IP address 202.166.213.114/25.
Now, where my confusion lies is, cant they provide the pool address via fibre? What is the significance of the ip that has been provided via fibre? What actually is its purpose? Isn't it consuming an extra interface ?Cant we have both the primary and secondary link excluding that one additional process?Or, am not understanding the real working mechanism how ISP distribute the internet?
I was wondering if I could setup my router CIsco RV120W to be able to connect to a VPN serice for my internet connection. Looking to give my small home netwok more sercurity. Is it possible with the Cisco firmware to be able to setup a connection to VPN serice. Do I have the compabilites with this router?
I was just configured a 3800 router with this command. I cannot get to the ROMMON mode anymore. Cisco says you should press Break key within 5 seconds after the image decompresses during the boot. But mine is ignoring it and going to load running config directly.
We are evaluating Cisco ACS 5.2 and I can not delete a service policy that was created. The message we receive is " the item that you are trying to delete is being referenced by other items". I am new to ACS, but I did go through each tab in the manager multiple times.
I have cisco 1841 router in my office. In that router we configured MPLS bgp with two different service provider. [code] We can't able to use the different service provider at the sametime.Cisco 1841 is support two different AS ???
