I have multiple VPN endpoints setup on our Cisco 2821, an SSL VPN, a site-to-site VPN, and a Web VPN for windows users. For whatever reason, the web vpn service periodically fails. The only way I've been able to bring it back up is to reload the router. Is it possible to restart the service itself?
View 3 RepliesWireless service on Dell laptop computer had been running fine for 4.5 months until underground Comcast cable failed, presumably due to freezing and thawing in cold New England soil. All Comcast service went out, TV, Internet cable modem, etc. Service was restored with above ground cable, and wireless service returned to other devices in household, but not the Dell laptop. I am wondering if my wireless card itself was damaged in the event, as no software fixes I have tried have worked. However, the device manager says the Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-card is working properly and the driver software for the service is up to date.

When I create a service object or group and add the object to a new rule it never works.I mean the traffic match not the rule. I see not hits.I placed the rule on top of my access list to check if I do somethink wrong but it is not working. When I place only a service for example tcp/23 it is working.

We have a situation where services are stopped on the real servers. The probes fail and we confirm the services are not running on the server. We cannot access the ports from the ACE directly. We can still however acces the VIP on the TCP port (L4 VIP class-map). So we can still telnet to the VIP on the port from thr Client side of the network.This is on ACE 20 Modules deployed in Routed mode. The version of software is A2(3.3).
Tried removing multi-match and loadbalance policies as well as class-map and re-applying then re-appyling the service policy to interface. Same behavior,This is a problem at another level as some services are being monitored by GSS via TCP keep-Alive and this obviuosly causes a problem as the service then never goes off-line.

I am having an annoying issue the past few weeks. Every time I start my computer, it can't seem to connect to the internet. It says there are no networks available. I then have to restart my computer and everything is all good. How come it is not picking up the internet on the first try?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with Netflow that I have been unable to solve. I have an ASA5510 that is sending netflow data to a FogLight NMS and it works fine until I reboot the server. After the server is rebooted, the flows no longer are received until I reload the ASA. Once the ASA is rebooted, flows work fine. I can remove and reconfigure the netflow configuration on the ASA and that will start the netflow again, but that is painful.
Is there any way to easily stop/restart or re-initiate the netflow from the ASA easily?
I can use my computer just fine right now, but whenever I need to restart it, when it comes back on the internet is no longer detected. I am connected through an ethernet wire directly to the internet, with no intermediate router or network.
After failing to solve the problem on my own, the only way Ive found that has been after to restore the internet connection is using the Windows Restore centre and restoring it to about a month ago; restoring it to only a few days ago does not fix the internet.
However, also when I use the restore function, immediately upon starting my system up again I get an error message saying that the system restore has failed and that nothing was changed. But the internet now works again.
Im not really sure what I should do to check out the problem further, let alone remedy it. I run Windows Vista, 64-bit. I can provide further info if need be.

Problem has gotten worse by day. First one restart would fix problem but now steam won't work and if you get pages to load after closing browser you need to restart computer couple of times before pages are loading again.

Now when issue a print command to the printer, the printout delays until i restart the machine before it comes out. If i issue another print command, i would have to go through the same process again. This is actually slowing my work rate and its really an inconvenience.whenever the issue happens, i ping the printers IP address to see if it is actually working. I also check in a browser to see if the printer is ready and all are positive but the problem still remains. Is there a way around this problem.

After restarting my laptop my wireless card (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000) has suddenly stopped working (ThinkPad SL410 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit). The hardware switch is on, the software / Fn switch is on, drivers are recent, device manager says the device is functioning properly, but there's a red X on the network icon in the system tray and obviously no wireless networks are showing up. I thought the wireless card died, but I booted off a linux live CD and the wireless card works just fine.

I have to turn my computer off and on several times before my wireless works. It I do a restart on my computer my internet does not work, so I have to totally shut it down and wait then restart and even then it my not work. The switch was running a relatively basic configuration and not under any appreciable load when the crash occurred. It had been running 1.2.5.70 for quite some time and had been restarted several times since the firmware upgrade. I have not been able to reproduce the issue on demand.

I just installed a new RV042 v3 and updated the f/w to 4.0.3.03tm. While trying to sort out logging issues, I've tried a few times to restart the router via System Mgmt -> Restart -> Restart Router. When I do this I get the expected results -- I'm prompted to wait, and then to login again. But the System Up Time isn't reset to zero, and the log shows no sign of the router restarting.
Why doesn't this work? Is there some other way to remotely force a restart?
I recently installed Arkham City on my computer played it for a while, tried google chrome, gave me a corrupt profile error or something (internet still worked and was connected at the time) restarted my computer and now it's telling me there isn't an ethernet cable connected to my computer.
Here's what I tried so far:
-Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver
-Updating the driver
-Using the network troubleshooting for windows 7
-Doing a system restore before I installed the game (gave me an error saying could not complete restore)
-Currently scanning my computer in safe mode with networking (seeing if that might work, doesn't) with malewarebytes
-Unplugged and replugged the router and modem
-Checked the router on another computer to see if there's a connection (there is none)
-Checked the router to see if there is a light in the port connected to the ethernet, it's blinking at a very slow a steady pace, unlike the ones around it which are solid green lights
-Tried the ethernet cable on another computer, works fine.

For the past week or so I've been having trouble with my Wi-Fi connection. I have a desktop PC, a kindle and a PS3 that all connect to it.
If I turn on my Kindle after it's been off for a while it'll try to connect to the Wi-Fi but will keep alternating between 'Authenticating'/'Connecting' and never gets to the 'Obtaining IP Address' part so it shows the signal strength bars at the top but they're totally empty. If I go and unplug the modem and the router, let them sit for a minute, plug them back in the large light on the router will flash orange (it's usually green) so I press and hold the WPS button which begins to flash and then both lights turn green and the Kindle quickly connects itself to the Wi-Fi. If I don't let it go into sleep mode or turn it off it will stay connected but if it turns off I have to do the same modem/router reset. When I'm at school or work I have zero issues connecting their wireless networks.
With the PS3, if it's turned on while I reset the modem/router it will connect to the network but if it's turned off during the reset it will not connect when I turn it on later. Also, either way, it no longer connects to my media server (sharing files between the PC and the PS3) regardless of connecting or not.
My computer will sometimes be connected to the router but internet access isn't available.This is easily fixed by resetting the router, but I was thinking that it would be good to just write a batch file to do it when needed.How would a write a batch file that will restart the router based of the result of pinging an internet site/server.

In the past, I've been able to restart the modem, and my speeds would be acceptable, but now a restart doesn't change the speeds I'm getting from speed test.net. I know it has to do with the router, because when I directly connect to the modem, my speeds are great.

I play Diablo 3 and the lag that is created when the router restarts as well as getting booted, along with apps on my phones locking up are about to make me throw the DLink Equipment against the wall.
FYI - the Comcast modem was just upgraded to the Xfinity Voice modem becuase I puchased two Voice lines last week. The issue was happening before the new modem was insatlled, and after. According to the Comcast Modem's status page (192.168.100.1) the modem has been online for 4 days, 6 hours, and 31 minutes. So I know the modem has not been cycling.
Now that the DCS-930 has a dedicated board, we can restart our firmware wishlist.
