View 2 RepliesOk so my internet connection has recently started disconnecting and reconnecting every 5 mins or so. It has never done this before and has started doing it out of the blue. It doesn't even appear to have cut out by the icon at the bottom but it does stuff like stop youtube videos from loading or when I am playing online poker or online gaming it will cut out for about 30 seconds before reconnecting again.
View 14 Replies View RelatedBeen having a weird problem recently, our internet normally runs around 4mb and was fine until around two months ago, when all of a sudden it started disconnecting and running really slowly. Normally around peak times, but also whenever the wife turns her laptop on.I know what you are about to say - Virus, exactly my first thought until I also noticed that whenever this happened the noise margin started jumping, or it would lose sync and resync at around 1.5mb, with high ping times and repeated dropped packets. Turning her laptop off seemed to solve dropped packets (although would stay slow and high ping times remain)We moved the laptop around the house and noticed this only happened when she sits on the sofa in the living room, bear in mind this sofa is a good 2 meters away from the nearest phone socket (which is not connected anyway) and works fine anywhere else, albeit in close proximity or not to the router / phone line.We cannot fathom why this is happening and have had a ticket open with Sky who have exhausted their capacity to resolve without fixing it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with a newly bought EA 2700 router, I'm getting disconnected every 30-60 minutes. (It's a brief disconnect for about 10seconds, perhaps a huge packet loss or something?)I've tried connecting directly to the modem and that seemed to have fixed the problem, so I think that it is a router issue...? Also, my download/upload/ping is 35mbps download, 35ish mbps upload, and 8ms. (I have a 35mbps connection so that's fine) But when I connect my PC to the modem directly, my MS becomes 5, and my upload jumps to 77mbps. The download stays the same...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI started using E4200 few months ago. It used to have frequent disconnection with E4200 when it's running on router mode back then. After playing with the MTU from 1492 (recommended by ISP) to 1364, it's seems to be quite ok until recently. It is getting worst than before. It disconnect my internet almost few times in 5 minutes.

I have had this problem for a week now. We have a desktop, PS3, and 3 laptops connected all at the same time. No problems with the desktop, PS3 and one of the laptops so far, but my Asus A53E and the HP Pavilion keep getting disconnected every few minutes! I recently installed a Linksys router (just to try it out) and it didn't really do well so I returned it and switched back to our old router which is the DLink DIR-625 router. It was doing okay for a few days and then suddenly it just started going crazy. Both the desktop and the PS3 are connected to the router through cable, but the other laptop (Dell) is not. I don't understand why it's just the Asus and the HP that get disconnected a lot. I already tried updating my drivers and reformatting my laptop, but still nothing. I don't want to call our ISP (Shaw) and D-Link because the internet works fine on the other 3.Additional Information:
-Modem
-Microsoft Security Essentials (on the Asus)
-avast! (on the HP)
My wireless wifi keeps going on and off frequently (I have to unplug and plug it back in about 10-30 times a day) and when its is connected its slow. I have a Belkin Play (high-performance Dual-Band Networking).
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo...few days ago this is happening even more frequently, my service is from Verizon wireless. Its getting really annoying when i randomly disconnecting while im doing something important or its so slow it takes 4 minutes to load one page. Im in the basement so is my modem. Im using windows 7.

So my internet connection keeps disconnecting every 5 or so minutes, then i reset the router and about an hour later it disconnects again. I'd say it would be a problem with the router, but everyone else's computers never disconnect, just mine. The only difference is that they all have macs and I have an Acer. I just got this computer and it was fine for about a month, but then about 2-3 weeks ago this started happening.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I'm connected to my router through wifi on my laptop and every 5-10 minutes I disconnect from my internet and I can't reconnect right away. I have to wait another 5-10 minutes for it to connect back. And I also can't connect the first time I start up my laptop. I need to wait 5 minutes before I can connect.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have 2 1260 Access points one is in root mode , one is wgb mode. Authentication is EAPFAST. There are 5 devices connected via WGB bridge to the rest of the network.
- If clients are sending some data , then WGB AP announces this client mac via IAPP to root AP and rest of the network sees them correctly
- If clients are "passive" , then after WBG AP announces them to root AP , they timeout after 6 minutes on root AP and obviously they are not pingable from the rest of the network. The only way to restore connectivity is to ping that device from WGB AP, then WGB AP announces via IAPP to root AP , then and only then they become visible from the rest of the network.
My question is related to this 6 minute timeout on root AP . Is it normal behaviour ?
i have TP link router model no TD W8951ND.. i can access internet but wifi disconnects in every 5 mins.. i have to connect again but as soon as i got connection after 5 or 10 min it disconnects again..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Dlink Dir 655 router a couple weeks and i seem to having a trouble. Every between 30min to a couple hours the connection dropps for no apparent reason. I tried a couple things like resetting to factory config, giving myself a static adress (since the logg was spamming the dhcp over my PC) Unfortuantly, none seem to work. so far it does a great job but the connection dropps are really annoying. Here are the log files if when it last occured.

My D-link router won't give me a break. Every 10 or 20 minutes it resets, severing the internet connection. This is extremely annoying, especially when I'm playing online games or downloading something. Simply put, the three lights suddenly turn off, then they start turning on again one after the other. I don't want any of the automated answering machines with their usual 'help', like "download update", "contact your ISP","disable your firewall".
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's a D-Link Wireless N 150.I constantly get an "Excellent" signal from the router, but my HP Mini netbook keeps disconnecting and re-connecting. It happens three to ten times in each hour, and it re-connects quickly, but the hiccup is annoying. Once in a blue moon, it'll disconnect and refuse to re-connect for a while.Other items that use the router--our iPhones, our Nintendo 3DS's, our Wii, our Xbox--don't have an issue. My netbook doesn't have a problem if I use wireless somewhere else, like in a coffee shop or McDonalds or wherever.I've tried updating my drivers, without much luck.

For the past few months my router has been randomly disconnecting me and everyone who is connected to the router from the internet from anywhere between 10 seconds and 1 min and i can't seem to figure out what has been causing this. It can happen multiple times a day or it can go for a week without happening. it makes playing online games extremely annoying.

Just this weekend, my DIR-655 has suddenly started blasting out continuous IGMPV2 Membership broadcasts, causing a flood of network traffic that's not normal and is interfering with other traffic. Rebooting everything in the system didn't fix it, turning off the other machines on the network (3 + NAS) didn't fix it, and I couldn't find anything in the configuration of the DIR-655 to stop it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a dlink cable modem and dlink dir-655 router. When the router is first turned on or a setting is changed any/all of the computers here can connect to the Ultima Online game server for login but within a few minutes most will not be able to. Its as if they are being refused a connection to login.owo.com (I think that is where they connect to). 1 maybe 2 computers can still connect but its fickle and can't know which 1 or 2 it will be or for how long.any computers already connected to a game server are fine its just the ones trying to login after the router has been running for a few minutes. My first assumption 2 days ago when this happened with my dlink gaming router was that the router developed a problem but now with a new router its still happening. The problem started when I re-enabled the wireless on my gaming router and when I noticed the problem I re-disabled the wireless but the problem persists. A new modem (the DIR-655) did not work...
View 10 Replies View RelatedI bought myself a DELL INSPIRON 1564 almost 2 years ago. I have been using a DLINK router MODEL DIR 635 ever since. It worked flawlessly. Now, i moved to a different part of the city and i had to install an internet connection. The connection is the same i used before - 100mbs fiber-optic. The only problem now is that the internet connection keeps dropping 2 3 times a day.Sometimes my laptop sees the wireless connection we set up,sometimes i have to wait one or two days to connect.Furthermore my laptops SEES like 10 other wireless connections except MINE!!!( if i go to a friends place the laptop sees his internet connection and works, the same if i go to any other place with a wireless connection) I live with 3 other people, they all have laptops and theirs work fine even after we reset the router. I also own a desktop PC, i bought a wireless adapter for it and surprise even the PC sees our wireless connection,,even my mobile phone, every other device except my laptop.

I can connect easily to internet with TP-Link MR-3040 router and Huawei E173 3G modem, but the router is disconnected or reseted after a while with no reason. it works fine between 5 and 15 minutes, rarely more than 1 hour, and when i see a video or download a large file the reset is almost automatic. This never happens with the Huawei modem connected directly to the PC!
I recently installed a tp-link router everthing works ok. The problem is when I turn off my pc and disconnect it and all attached devices (modem, router ect) from the electric supply. When I turn it back on I have no internet connection until I reboot the pc a second time. This problem only occurs when I disconnect the router from the electric supply. If I just shut down without disconnecting then I can turn it on and it connects to the internet without any problem.

I'm having issues with PPPoE connection. On a daily level, my connection breaks 1-5 times. In the past, it was related to signal problems, but ISP Tech. team fixed this some 10 days ago. Now, whenever I call them they say connection was broken on user request and ask me if I'm running services like torrents.
I don't run torrents and all I have is standard windows update services, nod 32, as well as steam client.
Here's router log from today when last error occured (I "blanked" some user-specific data like my username or MAC address).

I have 4 desktops cat5 to Dlink DIR 615 router. All work fine. Any wireless clients, laptop or netbooks, see the desktop computers for a while then disconnect somehow. All machines can see the Internet through the router at all times. The desktops disappear from the laptop/netbooks but the wireless machines can be seen from the desktop computers but clicking on them gets 'Access Denied' message after a wait.3 desktops = XP, 1 98SE.
